Thank you very much. You know much more than Nespresso staff, who just read from a prompt sheet. When they say they only recommend cow’s milk, they are not speaking from knowledge, they are just reading their prompt. I think Nespresso should employ you to train their staff. I have had Nespresso machines of many types for many years. I have never spoken to anybody who has actual real life experience. I have learned more from you than I ever have from them.
I clean it after use by adding cold water to the higher water line and turning the machine on. It clears the wisk and insides really well. The only time it doesn’t is if you let it sit overnight, and there’s a little bit clinging to the bottom. However, doing it this way mostly relieves the tedious task of worrying about the small wisk and its parts.
Same here, I just add few drops of dish washer to water, then just rinse with water and wipe out parts. That is also guidance from Nespresso how to clean it.
Every time I look in the bottom of someone's Aeroccino I see scalded milk and burn marks on the bottom beside the spring. The reason this happens is because the heating element is very hot and remains so for a while after the machine turns off. If you want to protect your frother and prevent this simply wait for the contents of the frother to absorb the heat from the element. I wait a minimum of 15 seconds before pouring and never get scalded milk
Tip 11 for cleanliness freaks, guess what is the easiest way to clean your Aeroccino? Pour a tiny bit of your favorite dish soap with some water up to just over the spring and let it foam! Rinse and voilà!
I’ve added syrups to the frother while using the hot setting and had no problem getting a good froth. I have had issues on the cold setting though. I’ve also made my own pumpkin spice creamer using pumpkin pie sauce and half & half and, OMG the creamer both smells and tastes delicious on the hot setting!
I want to mention there are 2 plastic tabs on the inside of the lid to hold the magnetic spring when heating milk (no froth). This keeps the spring from getting lost or damaged. Also, the same tabs can be used to hang the lid on the side of the areoccino while adding syrups & such.
I’ve used it to make Nutella latte, I just drop a teaspoon of Nutella while the milk is already spinning and haven’t had a problem so far. Just make sure the dollop of Nutella is not so big that it gets stuck and the spring can’t turn. Also used broken up pieces of orange chocolate, caramel, very small pieces of candy cane and cocoa powder to make different kinds of lattes. I’m also gonna try out making a matcha latte in it, as I’ve done that numerous times on my breville milk frother. I also find the aeroccino easier to clean than the breville when I forget to clean the frother right away and the milk has already dried. 4.5/5 ⭐️ Edit: just wanted to add that I’ve also put eggnog and a dash of nutmeg in there to make eggnog lattes and I use barista grade oat milk as I’m lactose intolerant.
Thanks so much for sharing all those ideas, will be trying some of those out and sure lots of other subscribers will too 👍 Been meaning to try the matcha latte in it myself, so will do that soon. We have a video where we made one with the Barista Recipe Maker and also a Matcha Latte Macchiato using the Matcha pods, but not tried it in the Aeroccino yet.
This video was very helpful. I didn't know whether the spring went over the top or the bottom when putting it back on, & I saw that I had not been placing it correctly (not over the black plastic part at the bottom). I appreciated the tips as well.
AWESOME video…and super duper tips. Thanks!! I just tried Almond Breeze in mine (hot) and it frothed beyond my expectations. Maybe because manufacturer states to shake milk prior to consumption? I was so thick I need a spoon to get the last little bit out.
Putting the Aeroccino in the fridge before frothing helps produce a good cold froth. I do this frequently, even leaving it in the fridge overnight, and there’s never been a problem. If the milk produces low froth, like some alternative milks, or half and half, I’ll spin it a few times on cold. You can then run a hot froth cycle, but watch it carefully, as the hot cycle amps up the froth. Thanks for all the good tips!
Great video which I came across just by chance. First thing I did was take off the black rubber from the cover and wash it. Never realized it should be done. Now it's all sqeeky clean. Thank you so much!
Another tip: if you tend to push the limit on filling it, align the notch in the lid just to the right of the button. This is especially helpful if the unit is one of the integrated ones. This way I see the mess in time and the “slosh” pattern from the whisk doesn’t directly target the notch (the weakest point to overflow). I’ve had a large reduction in messes since this change (and learning just the right level for my milk).
Not a tip but more like a warning, the whisk can lose its properties after several times being used and it will stop making a frothy milk; I bought a replacement to prove my theory and it was the problem, indeed. Also there's a recommendation about not leaving the Aeroccino put on its base when connected to the power, so make sure the base is not connected to the power.
I love the Starbucks cinnamon creamer 😋 They come in 3 flavors. I find that they froth up better than 2% milk and table cream or half and half cream are excellent for a thick rich froth.
Love the Aerocinno 3 👌🏻 meets all my coffee requirements for Americans, Latte and Cappuccino. I don’t see the need to upgrade to the barista one for my needs. I’ve always found that I’ve got decent enough foam with semi skimmed milk, healthier option than full fat as well.
What do you suggest for a frother that is not frothing but it is spinning and heating up? I've cleaned it and cannot figure out why it stopped frothing.
Hi 👋 Did you find a solution? It might be worth getting a new spring or whisk. I had an aeroccino that stopped frothing in the past and that fixed it. If it’s in warranty Nespresso might even send one out for free.
Got the same issue with similar Tchibo frother. Did 2 or 3 times perfect foam and that's over. Just heating, spinning and no foam at all. Found video of a woman, who tells to use 'gray acid' or few tabs of Aspirine, melt in water and clean with this solution. If it doesn't work, I'll check warranty terms.
Thank you for the informative video. I usually make my latte's on an inexpensive Delonghi from Target. It's quite a process, but, I like my milk at 180 degrees. Can you froth and make the milk extra hot?
Cheers Jeff and that sounds really nice! Did you take the spring off for that and did you mix it with a bit of milk or just put the ice cream straight in?

Don't know how much of a "Tip" this is or exciting, but the magnetic swirler (on mine) fits up into the two fingers under the lid. For my use, after cleaning and setting it aside for next day, I clip it under the lid as a reminder that I did indeed clean it.
Tip 8 - is a must if making 2 drinks back to back, clean the milk out, and put cold water in for 30 seconds to cool the machine, otherwise the milk wont heat or foam enough....
Interesting that as I haven’t tried making a cortado with the Creatista yet. Do you still find the milk too frothy even on the lowest froth level then?
I came to this video after getting frustrated with how the milk would pour out and then I'd have to shake out the foam and eventually make a huge mess. Tip#1 👌 Thank you sir!
Hi 👋 We actually made a video where we measured the temperature of the milk against the other Nespresso frothers in case that helps. Here's the link - th-cam.com/video/Puox-8m3GDE/w-d-xo.html
The aeroccino4 and Barista Recipe Maker are hotter but having used the steam wand on the Creatista machines, I personally feel they are the way to go if you like your milk based coffees hot ☕️
I find you can hank the lid on the side of the aeroccino with the little plastic bit under the lid. it allows it to vent and stops it smelling if not being used especially on a hot day.
Cheers Darren, I’ll give that a go. I had the Aeroccino 4 for a long time and didn’t find the odor as much of an issue after getting a dishwasher but was a problem before that and when I had the Aeroccino 3. Shame you can’t put the aero 3 in a dishwasher isn’t it. Thanks for the tip 👍🏼
@@A2BProductions I have both too, wasn’t sure you could put the AC4 in the dishwasher. You learn somthing everyday. They don’t seem too different in build too
This is a great unit even if you don't have a Nespresso machine, I have a Saeco Superautomatica and using its steam wand is annoying, because it is a single boiler. I can use the Aeroccino while brewing up with the Saeco. Since in North America we have wimpy 15 or 20 amp circuits at 120V, the Aeroccino with its 450 watts also won't overload a circuit for the minute or two it needs to run.
I have the large stainless version with 4 buttons That I got from William Sonoma it’s the best thing outside of my Breville Baristapro espresso machine.
Sometimes our frother doesn't fully froth - I'm guessing its how we place the frother spring unit back in - sometimes it sits higher on the inside knob than others so we're doing something wrong - any advise? thanks
Hi 👋 We have quite a few videos and a playlist where you can see it in operation but a dedicated aeroccino cleaning video is a good idea 👍🏼 Will see what we can do 😁
I didn’t know about removing the spring. I knew about the cold and hot thing. When I bought this one from QVC they told us about that. I have tried almond milk, oat milk and pumpkin flavored oat milk. None of them really thicken at all like cold foam at Starbucks, I didn’t realize that there were barista versions. I don’t think my supermarket sells that. I knew about the magnetic quality of the spring. I just put it back in the machine when it is dry.
Thanks for sharing! Yeah if you can get hold of some Barista Edition plant milks I think you’ll really see a difference. We have a video on the channel where we compare a few brands like Oatly MOMA Alpro and Rude Health in case you want to check that out.
I have put my frother in the frig for years no problem. Soy milk works great. Almond not. My whisps are still in awesome condition after 6 years, but the magnet in the frother gave out. Nespresso gave me discount on new 3.
I have been having a problem. I have the Aeroccino base built into my nespresso machine. I have use all sorts of milk; whole, 2%, 1%, and I have issues of with the milk frothing. It only froths from a carton and not a plastic container. Why???
@@A2BProductions , so I have tried boxed milk from the refrigerator section of the store, as well as the box shelf milk that doesn't need to be cold until you open it. They both frothe perfectly! The bottles milk, not so much. I never had this problem in the states.
Of the milk frothers I’ve tried on the channel so far it’s still the best along with the Aeroccino4 but I do want to review more milk frothers going forward. It’s worth keeping an eye on the Nespresso website as they sometimes give good discounts if you buy it along with a Nespresso machine.
My aeroccino isn't frothing my 2% grass fed milk...there doesn't seem to be any issue with the whisk or device itself. I tried to decrease the amount of milk as well and it still came out flat. I tried all of the FAQ from their site (cold milk, clean the whisk, etc) and nothing seems to work. From the reviews I've seen, many have had success with this type of milk. Any tips?
Is it a new aeroccino or have you had it a while? One of my aeroccinos stopped working in the past and Nespresso sent a new whisk and spring out and it fixed the problem. Don't know if that's worth a try 🤔
Why put in fridge....you can run the milk on blue setting couple times get it frothy and then before serving run on hot one last time if you want extra froth
I do it the other way. I froth it hot , wait a few seconds and run it with the cold option to get a better froth. I have found that when I use the longer lasting, ultra filtered milk, I get a much better froth though. It never fails.
Hi 👋 Do you mean different types of dairy or alternative milks? 🙂 If dairy then this might be the one - What Milk to Use With a Nespresso Aeroccino Milk Frother? | Whole Milk, Semi Skimmed or Skimmed? th-cam.com/video/G0k9ev1BE2w/w-d-xo.html
I always have but it’s an interesting question as some subscribers have mentioned coil whine on the Aeroccino 4 in the past, wonder if that might solve it 🤔
Hi there 👋 We tend to just use it for one cup to be honest. With less milk you can make one cappuccino or one latte macchiato and with more milk (and no spring) one latte coffee. You may get 2 cappuccinos - Nespresso 100ml size - at a push but that’s something I’d need to try out again to check for sure.
@@A2BProductions Thanks for the prompt reply. I thought that it looked like just one cup and, with the time taken to clean and dry it all between uses, I could end up with a queue in the kitchen every morning. Strategy rethink needed. :)
Yes but Nespresso don't recommend it. There's also a big difference in how much froth you get between the milks. The Barista edition plant milks are good and we have a few videos on the channel comparing them in case that's of interest.
Thank you very much.

Another tip for extra frothier milk, is to shake the milk really well before you put it in the frother. You will get a much thicker and more froth.

I make my own creamer. 1 part sweetened condensed milk, 1 part milk. Shake vigorously. Then 1 part heavy whipping cream. Delicous
Under the lid there are two lugs. These are for holding the spring when you want to have less frothy milk.
Seems like this is the true reason for the lugs , I used it to hang off the AC3 to stop it sweating and smelling when not in use.
I never knew that 😂 Thanks, will try it out. Great tip 👍🏼

Can I add hot milk to it?
I have put my frother in the frig for years no problem. Soy milk works great. Almond not. My whisps are still in awesome condition after 6 years, but the magnet in the frother gave out. Nespresso gave me discount on new 3.
I have been having a problem. I have the Aeroccino base built into my nespresso machine. I have use all sorts of milk; whole, 2%, 1%, and I have issues of with the milk frothing. It only froths from a carton and not a plastic container. Why???
Not sure on that one I'm afraid but would be great to hear if you got to the bottom of it 🤔
@@A2BProductions , so I have tried boxed milk from the refrigerator section of the store, as well as the box shelf milk that doesn't need to be cold until you open it. They both frothe perfectly! The bottles milk, not so much. I never had this problem in the states.
Interesting, don’t think I’ve ever tried a long life milk off the shelf so will give that a go 👍🏼
Did you know you can pop in the spring on the inner part of the lid? It has a special part to attach the spring onto the lid.
Only found that out after making this video from the comments, thanks for sharing 👍
@@A2BProductions can you share a pic of that please? Thank you :)
Yes, some of us read the instructions 🙄
is it still worth it to buy it? after 2 years. its 75 euro
Of the milk frothers I’ve tried on the channel so far it’s still the best along with the Aeroccino4 but I do want to review more milk frothers going forward. It’s worth keeping an eye on the Nespresso website as they sometimes give good discounts if you buy it along with a Nespresso machine.

The Nespresso instruction video says the spring is for cold milk frothing and "you can remove it to make hot milk drinks". So I did.
Put the spring in the lid. It attaches there.
@@A2BProductions I just bought the set from Costco 2 days ago! Lol. I’ll try contacting them and seeing what they say though. Thank you!
Why put in fridge....you can run the milk on blue setting couple times get it frothy and then before serving run on hot one last time if you want extra froth
Never tried that, will give it a go 👍🏼
I do this technique as well. Otherwise there’s only enough froth for a latte.
I do it the other way. I froth it hot , wait a few seconds and run it with the cold option to get a better froth. I have found that when I use the longer lasting, ultra filtered milk, I get a much better froth though. It never fails.
Is there a trick for almond milk
I would say to buy a barista edition almond milk but hope others will chip in if they have suggestions for you 🙂
Where is the video on the different types of milks please
Hi 👋 Do you mean different types of dairy or alternative milks? 🙂 If dairy then this might be the one - What Milk to Use With a Nespresso Aeroccino Milk Frother? | Whole Milk, Semi Skimmed or Skimmed?

Do you know if we are to store the the unit on top of the base in between uses?
I always have but it’s an interesting question as some subscribers have mentioned coil whine on the Aeroccino 4 in the past, wonder if that might solve it 🤔
@@A2BProductions I saw a video where it said to store with lid on.
How many cups of coffee, would you say, can you make at one time?
Hi there 👋 We tend to just use it for one cup to be honest. With less milk you can make one cappuccino or one latte macchiato and with more milk (and no spring) one latte coffee. You may get 2 cappuccinos - Nespresso 100ml size - at a push but that’s something I’d need to try out again to check for sure.
@@A2BProductions Thanks for the prompt reply. I thought that it looked like just one cup and, with the time taken to clean and dry it all between uses, I could end up with a queue in the kitchen every morning. Strategy rethink needed. :)
Can use 110w
It works with plant milk?
Yes but Nespresso don't recommend it. There's also a big difference in how much froth you get between the milks. The Barista edition plant milks are good and we have a few videos on the channel comparing them in case that's of interest.
My Aeroccino 3 suddenly stopped frothing milk. It spins but won’t froth. Any thoughts from anyone?
I make hot chocolate with it as well, just add your sugar , Vanilla flavour and cocoa powder and your cup with be ready >
Thanks for sharing! We made one with chocolate callets on the channel not too long ago but haven’t tried it with powder yet. Will give that a go 👍🏼
How hot does it come out?
Hi 👋 We have a video on the channel where we tested the heat of all 3 of the Nespresso milk frothers in case that helps
Too keep it cool I add ice cubes to water in it till it melts than pur away. I wouldn't put it in the freezer.
Sounds good! Thanks for sharing.
Ahahahha no wayyyy!😂 I’ve had this for bout 4 years I guess now and I’ve never knew it could do cold milk 😂😂😂😂
Yeah think I had mine a while without realising too 😅😂 Hope you enjoy making a few iced coffees now 👍
