This dude is a gem. I think he is based in nyc tho not Britain. Tell us your restaurant Thomas we would love to visit and give u business that pours well.
I recreated this dish a few weeks ago when he posted it the first time, and man was it banging. One of the most intense flavours ive ever witnessed! Thanks Straker
@@whatskraken3886 its just the very essence of pure chicken flavour. I used a whole bird on that pie and it really packed a punch! Dont underestimate that!
@MiguelGarcia-vj7oo I'd say it's underrated, but quite literally barely underrated at all. The hate it receives is only barely not the amount it deserves. It's edible and has some good original staples but most of it is just edible with no redeeming qualities
@@MiguelGarcia-vj7ooprobably never had British food if that’s what you think of it. English fry up is the greatest breakfast food on the planet, along with the amount of different pies, pastries, fish and chips etc for dinner. English cuisine is fantastic.
I had to watch a couple more times in great appreciation to this cozy warm (I need a moment to myself!!) dish of LoVe n goodness!!... ridiculously yummm!!...
I tried making this myself and loved it. But instead of using the whole chicken, i separated the leg and thigh and used the rest of the chicken for the pie. I felt like using the legs would be a bit of a waste since they're the juiciest part of the chicken and rest always ends up being a bit dry and flavorless in comparison.
I lived under the impression that brits don’t have great food or food quality but man was I mistaken. Makes my mouth water just seeing such succulent looking food
@_Rustodian after being on this for years I finally figured it out a couple of days after leaving this msg and felt like an idiot but thanks for the help regardless 😂👍
Honestly, i hate how butt of the jokes we are when it comes to food, proper British food may be hard to find, but boy can it be super comforting and homely when done properly. Tell me something better than rocking up to a pub on a rainy spring afternoon after a walk through the peak district and being served this dinner with a pint of somerset cider.

Ok when did this bs start that british food isnt good. Everytime i come to england and i go to a good pub, the beer is cold, the food is amazing and the people are kind and funny. ❤
Love how the British weather doesn't stop you from cooking outside. Great video as always!
Perfect weather for a pie👌😂

I work with an English digger driver, and he said to me "if we didn't work in the rain in England we'd never get any work done"

How did you get your pie crust that lawyered and brittle?
Gordon Ramsey who?
how did you get that crust on the pie
How are you so lean man ?
You once said get a proper peeler - which do you recommend? Thx
read the Standard article sounds like you are at an interesting crossroads, best of luck chap
I’ve never seen chicken stock added to the pastry mix before
Its called hot water crust pastry (at least in the uk). Its a method of getting very hard pastry for dishes that require pastry structure
Whers the second like button
can someone tell me what is the id of this jacket/ soft shell?
With the jacket on you kinda look like a 3rd brother of Oasis who cooked up bangers (but with mash) while the other 2 released some bangers

Real bang up job m8 or whatever the hell yall say
£13 corn fed chicken used to make a pie for 4
