Engines to idle, ailerons to neutral, full opposite rudder, pitch forward -- and hope you have enough altitude. 🤞 Very difficult to recover in a turboprop that large.

Parachutes for each passenger would be impractical but they could have large parachutes on the crew/captain area and also on the passenger section so in the event of this type of thing they could separate the tale and wings, deploy these parachutes for the other 2 sections. It wouldn't be a soft landing but it would save lots of lives. In the event they are over water, a shell that is made to be buoyant or a large flotation device on either side would allow folks to get out and onto lifecraft. But let's face it they wouldn't make aircrafts like this because it would cost them too much and the likelihood of it needing to be used is pretty low.
Problem is they can’t have crazy people or they might just jump from the air. Also, you can’t jump from that height on planes if it’s too high. Also, it’s hard to get everyone off before it crashes, some people might die from accidentally being thrown off.
That’s the issue with flying … if anything goes wrong nobody can save you but god. Imagine your in the sky and all the gravity pushing you down and your in a heavy plane ✈️ . That’s why I don’t like flying much

To those who don’t know what happened: On August 9th, 2024, Voepass Linhas Aéreas Flight 2283 carrying 62 people crashed. The plane was an ATR 72-500 and it took off at Cascavel, scheduled to land in Guarulhos. The plane had 4 crew members and 58 passengers, 62 people in total. At 1:21 PM, the plane stalled. They don’t know exactly how it happened but it’s suspected that the ice buildup could’ve been the culprit. The plane then began falling from the sky, entering into a flat spin. The pilots tried to regain control, but were unsuccessful. The plane crashed, killing everyone onboard due to the blunt force trauma and explosion. It is the deadliest crash in Brazil history. The crash is still under investigation and hopefully it’ll be solved. My heart goes out to the families and friends who lost the ones they love. 💔🙏🏻
I absolutely can not imagine what those people felt as they were falling thousands of feet from the sky to their death's! I can guarantee you, if there was, there were no atheists on that plane in its final moments before it hit the ground!
Looks like a Vmc roll-induced flat spin. Vmc is the minimum airspeed at which a multi engine aircraft is controllable with one engine inoperative. If you do not correct the aircraft in such a state, it risks entering a Vmc roll which is accompanied by an unrecoverable spin.
One of my fears: strapped in..and you're going down. No place to run, no place to hide, you know that in a few seconds you are going to die.
