I don't have that much money to proceed Human Resource Management, because of this I continue my self study at home. Thank you for posting the HRM Lectures.
Thank you Prof Armin for sharing your knowledge and experience. Recently I moved to Canada and I'm about to change my career to HR management. Your lectures are a good preparation for my upcoming studies!! They are clear , organized and gives me a good positive overview about the main points in HR field . Wish I could have such a good professional mentor as you .
Dear Professor, Thank you very much for these lessons. At this moment I am attending an Executive Master in HR in Rome. We have only two meetings per month and the programm is very practical. We do case studies, role playings and group discussions..Having the possibility to listen at your lessons is making this Master equivalent to a full time Master! So this is amazing! Keep on doing this excellent job!
I have a degree in Organizational Psychology but I couldn't find a job in my specific field after graduation. So I have worked for more than five years in pubblic schools with disabled children. Now I'm trying again to get back in HR.
I have stared to improve my business English at home by myself and update my HR knowledge. Your videos is really helpful. Thank you for them. And I wish I were your student.
Hey Prof, watching your videos in 2023 and they are just as relevant today as they were back in the day! Completely changed learning everything HR for me and I am so grateful
Thank you very much, I am an HR specialist, your are the best , smart, excellent and handsome teacher, it is really interesting to learn with you, from Rwanda,
I really liked the thing he said at the end that one should be positive and clear in her/ his communication, its about respect and appreciation. People management or Human resource summarized pretty much.
I am a sales & marketing student but I love the way you articulate things with clarity, simplicity with precise teaching techniques. Really love this class. It helps me a lot as well. Thank you very much Sir.
Prof. Trost, your videos are very informative and insightful. I like your approach to your teaching: very interactive, practical, good pace and you are very fluent in English, that makes your presentation very clear and perfect. Thanks.
Prof. Armin is an excellent!! Got to learn many things of HR over here. Looking forward to watch his other videos as well. Thank you so much Prf. for providing and sharing your knowledge and experience with the global HR professionals through your TH-cam channel. Best wishes from India. :)
Many gratings from Romania. Thanks for the lecture. You have such an interesting method of teaching, so even if I am not an english speaker on regullary basis, I understand every thing you talk about.
Had to laugh when you asked the question of who would want to work for BMW... I do and it's certainly a great company to work for! Just started my 1st year doing a degree in HRM and your presentations are so helpful! Thanks for the help, from RSA!

Do I have use HR against my boss? She was upset I had signed up for a one-person shift. The manager below her rank (a 24/25-year-old man) is supposed to organize and keep an eye on who works which shifts on the schedule. Our boss scolded him for not noticing I had signed up to go solo for a coffee service, I believe. When she asked him if she thought I could do the shift, I answered for him with a firm "yes," because I felt belittled by her. She said she didn't think so, was all "I've told you not to sign up for shifts by yourself, I've been very clear about that, I don't know how much clearer I can get for you to listen" (something like, that, so I'm not perfectly quoting her), and she told me I need someone there to give me instructions and guide me. That was very insensitive and harsh, and I think that if she said that to a person with a learning disability, they would be hurt and deem her a bigot. I should've told her that, to make a point to her about tact. Can I go to HR for this?
Listening to this I'm identifying bias and discrimination in this presentation. Job fairs are for ALL types of people who are able and capable of doing the job you're recruiting for. A "50 year old Gardner who decides he wants to be a software developer" So what's wrong with a 50 yr old Gardner who went back to school to learn a new skill or trade being 50 isn't a hindrance and you're never too old to reinvent yourself. A recruiter should always refrain from hiring bias. Unemployed and desperate people are a part of the reasons we have job fairs, so we can hire good employees who were probably overlooked and let go from other companies for whatever reasons.
Hi, I'm a first-year student studying HRM. I had a group task about rewards and recognition. Do you have any recommendations for what books, articles, and lectures I should find?
Professor Armin, you have mentioned a book i think it's called " 101 recruitment" or something. would you please mention the name and the writer again because I could not find it in the videos.
I have a question, What is the difference between having a supplier who will provide you with contracted workers and outsourcing that particular project? Thanks
Ali outsourcing is allowing whatever firm to take full charge of the hiring process which is a bit expensive, you actually don't have anything to do with the process where as contractors you are involved in the contract creation and the payment. Contracts are cheaper and temporary as compared to outsourcing.
I don't quite agree on the lesser qualify argument in between active/passive candidates. With current economy, with constantan restructuring. Highly qualify people who constantly are the better paid ones got the blunt end of the stick. The company only would allow you above certain pay scale if you are capable, yet these highly paid professionals are the first to go in 'restructuring'. So no, active job searching doesn't equals to lesser qualify. It just indicate the person is looking for a job.

Very Helpful thank you sir for sharing this knowledge.
Can yoi give me reflection of this lesson,
Everyone has the ability to add value, so at job fairs it is likely that Recruiters remain open to give the candidate the benefit of the doubt.

hi Dr. @Armin_Trost
what did you mean by internal and external hiring?
did you mean by internal hiring, local people?? a bit confused
Altahitah Ali Internal hiring means hiring the employee of the company itself for the open profile
