That is incredibly rare.. gary is out of touch if he doesnt understand that 99% of jobs that pay 200k/year consistently demand more than a 9-5. Work life balance is tough at that spot.

COVID or shitty work ethic's cost my wife and I our jobs. I have went through alot trying to overcome our situation losing everything or so I thought. I lost a place to sleep who gives a fuck about our house it was draining us . A nice SUV that we paid or were paying to much for big TV's. You know we don't give a fuck about this material shit I thought for a few months I didn't know what my wife was thinking until we are watching you and my wife said " hunny I don't want to go back to where we were in life" wtf blew my mind . I was so happy that the person I love the most felt the same . So short story long we are live in our car but we are going to make 250,000 starting now we have ourselves 16 months we have a few ideas but this all started "for me" watching you thank you. @adolph gracius That's a pretty good gig. I used to be a buyer for Replacements Limited. They are a company that buys all types of China patterns. They replace China pieces for people all over the world. I used to make about 500 to 1000 dollars a week going to yardsales and estate sales. You wouldn't believe how much money is in silverware and plates and bowls😁. It's definitely a good side hustle, but irs alot of work, and alot of driving. Especially since you have to drive to North Carolina, to sell your stuff, once you acquire it. I did the Fleamarket circuit too, at one point, but I suck at computers, and to be successful, you really need someone that's computer savvy working with you, and unfortunately for me, I'm alot like Mr. Wilson, from Denace the menace. Nor easy to be around. I'm kind of a jerk, well, not "kind of", I AM a jerk. Can't help it. I just don't like people very much, especially millenials....

I mean sure, don’t really like the guy and he goes over the top about a lot of things but this I agree with. Expecting someone else to care about something they don’t own or may not even have much of a part in building, crazy. Not to mention usually employees aren’t in a position to gain anywhere near as much the owner if things start going amazing. Sure they might get a big bonus here and there or a good raise but that will be a fraction of a percent of what the owner gets. So you can t really expect them to be on the same level when their potential payout for reaching it is drastically lower than yours.
I work in the restaurant business and f*** working as hard as the owners work because to be honest they don't do s*** so maybe I do want to work as hard as them

We don’t mind doing the work or being being humble cause money isn’t really everything. Being honest, reliable, loyal and decent doesn’t have a dollar amount.

To me it is the "why". Why did they want that job? Why do they show up or don't show up to work on time? Why do they go above and beyond or the opposite? If I can pin point that early and be able to nurture the good parts to create personal growth, that growth translates to growth in the business. Even if they are only there for a paycheck. Find a way to get them bigger paychecks by letting them grow more and qualify for raises and rewards. It is a 2 way street. The business has to benefit the worker just as much as the worker benefits the business.

She specifically asked him how to get employees to work just as hard as the owner. Gary used his own motivations as a business owner to demonstrate how unrealistic it is to expect any employee to feel the same way. This is a textbook example of good public speaking.
