    I'm giving the whole crew some homework. You need to go watch the Cardmarket episode where Tomer was on and playing Commander with that crew and see how they did the Clash On. It's only cringe because you can't commit. You can do it, I believe in you!

      Do or do not, there is no try. Either drop it if you dont like it, or actually give it energy, then it become dorky but as OP said, only cringe if you do it so halfheartedly

      Correct - as long as he only has 7 of them. But since he can copy them, he could roll far more dice in one go.

      @@MTGGoldfishCommander Absolutely. And keep in mind that you're allowed to roll more than just seven dice. More dice means there's a greater chance of success, but it also comes with the risk of hitting too many sixes.

      @mitchellbruderlin8621 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +28

      Online you can find the maths for it but apperently the lucky number is 41 bobble heads giving you 16% chance to roll it

    • @Lucas-vj6jn
      @Lucas-vj6jn 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@mitchellbruderlin8621 41 just maximizes the probability of winning from a single activation, but you don't need that many to get good odds. If you have 21 in play and can activate them all that turn you have a 50% chance of winning. If you have between 27 and 74 you have at least 90% chance of winning (assuming you can activate them all). When Seth activated 7 bobble heads he had about a 1 in 40 000 chance of winning since he did it 7 times, better than the 1 in 280 000 but still very long odds lol

  • @ImpossibilitySpace
    @ImpossibilitySpace 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +17

    The best chance to win with a Luck Bobblehead is by having 42 of them, which will result in exactly 7 6s being rolled 16.3% of the time. My money for the best Luck Bobblehead commander is Brudiclad, as it allows you to turn all of the extra tokens you generate in a Bobblehead deck into Luck Bobbleheads to increase your count.
    Brudiclad also gives you access to Wyll, Blade of Frontiers and Barbarian Class which make rolling 6s easier.

    I hit mythic in standard with Happily Ever After years ago. As far as I know, nobody else played the deck at all. It was a Bant control deck that used Little Teferi and Planewide Celebration on the opponent's end step to put an all colors citizen token into play and gain 12 life. Celebration and Tamiyo were also used for graveyard recursion. Absorb and board wipes to control the game, keep life high, and provide instants and sorceries in the yard.
    My all time favorite deck. It was incredibly slow and grindy though because it had no other wincons, so oftentimes opponents will just scoop when they realize you have them locked out with infinitely recurring counters. And Tamiyo and Celebration can both pull each other out of the graveyard too.

With 21 bobbleheads spinning all 21 times, you have a 50/50 shot of winning, and if you spin 29 bobbleheads 29 times you have a 95% chance of winning. That puts the number of bobbleheads needed well below 42, given you have the mana of course.

  • @jmv333
    @jmv333 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

    A Luck Bobblehead win is very possible (though still challenging) with Doppelgang:
    If you can get 5 Bobbleheads (at least 3 of which are Luck Bobbleheads) on the field, you can cast Doppelgang X=5 for 17 mana, targeting all 5 Bobbleheads, making 5 copies of each. You'll then have 30 Bobbleheads on the field, at least 15 of which are Luck Bobbleheads, you can tap the other half to pay for the activation of those 15, giving you 15 chances to roll 30 dice for exactly 7 6's, a 79% chance of winning immediately.
    With a token doubler like Mondrak, casting Doppelgang for X=4 (14 mana) with 4 Bobbleheads (at least 2 of which are Luck Bobbleheads) will give you 18 activations with 36 Bobbleheads, a >95% chance to win.
    Obviously these are very mana intensive, but they are quite plausible wincons, mainly because your opponents have no ways to interact once Doppelgang has resolved. So if you can slide your 5 bobbleheads under the radar, you can combo off the next turn provided you dodge counters.

    Bobblehead's, aka you need about 14 copies of them and 8 other cards to have a chance of them working. Still waiting on the _hype_ of fallout besides a cpl solid cards and a lot of "Why where you excited for it..? Be more like Richard!" :p

    I feel like while Kenrith is stronger on his own, Jared Carthalion might be the better commander to win with Happily Ever After. It is all colors, makes creatures that are all colors that stick around if it gets removed, meaning with Happily, you have all 5 colors and 3 permanent types. Admittedly, Kenrith lets you gain life very easily to stay above starting.

    I've won 2 games with luck bobblehead in my Mr House deck by making infinite artifacts then using them to untap luck bobblehead infinite amount of times after tutoring out every bobblehead. Since it's an infinite amount of activations one of them will EVENTUALLY be 7 6's

    • @mikemoyer8162
      @mikemoyer8162 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      That's awesome! I built a more traditional Mr. House deck, but I am in the process of brewing a bobblehead version just for that! I'd love to see your list.

      Technically incorrect. An infinite number of dice rolls NEVER guarantee any specific outcome, by definition.

      @mikemoyer8162 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @dontmisunderstand6041 that is factually wrong.

      @@mikemoyer8162 It's not wrong, it's objectively correct. That's what the word random means, even a literal infinite number of attempts cannot guarantee a result. Even in purely mathematical terms, we would not say that it's guaranteed to happen in infinite attempts. f(x) = (279935/279936)^x, so we'd say the limit of f(x) as x approaches infinity equals 0. What this means in english is exactly what I said before, that it's never ever guaranteed. This idea is the conceit that underpins calculus as a concept, that neither zero nor infinity are actual numbers. They're concepts very adjacent to numbers, but not actual numbers. Specifically the concept of absolutes. Absolute nothingness, and the exact opposite. This is why we can't divide by zero, and why infinity divided by infinity isn't always 1. Numbers are defined by their axiomatic relationships to each other. 1+2=3 every single time, because that's literally what those terms mean. Those axiomatic relationships are why math works. Zero and infinity aren't numbers, trying to use them as if they are can lead to incorrect conclusions, which defeats the purpose of mathematics as a study. So, instead of using them as numbers, we use trends to approximate the concepts.

      @mikemoyer8162 you cannot shortcut a non-determinisitic loop.
      You do not know how many times it will take to roll 7 6's and as such must do each one at a time.
