Really nice work, I have trouble getting those keyhole fixings properly spaced as 1mm out and I’m in trouble. So a mate of mine uses lining wallpaper and uses the rear of the mirror to draw a template shading in the key hole areas with a pencil. So far I haven’t failed ( but you never know now I’ve given it the kiss of death ). Great vid, thank you.
That’s a tidy job fixing those mirrors (not to mention 7 years bad luck if you accidentally smash one!) Absolutely agree with eye protection when cutting tiles - Lots of people are benefiting from your videos (including me) keep them coming dude!
One thing i would have done is place a dust sheet folded a few times over the basin. I always feel a little tense when having tools over a bath or basin in case something slips out your hands

i was having an argument that the led mirror i have has 3 mounting locations, allowing it to be installed hoizontally or vertically, but hes only secured it at the top, and it easily lifts away from the wall, i argue the bottom mount has mickey mouse ears as it were for the screwhead to catch into, therefore its the manufacturers recomendation to secure it in all 3. that seems like a solid job tho. well done!
The part I am needing help with is selecting the correct live wire etc from the loft. Your video starts with the wire already installed. Is there a video which shows you which wires to use from the loft?

I do all my own electrical wiring although I'm not a qualified electrician, but I had the benefit many years ago of DIY monthly magazines from which you could learn to do such work properly. At intervals I check out for new regulations on the internet to keep up to date. However I have encountered other DIYers who have tried to wire new appliances and got it drastically wrong, so I recommend not tackling such work unless you have really studied it and understand it. In recent years I have been asked to sort out friends disasters, which I managed despite not having the benefit of seeing which wires go where before they took everything apart. A little testing to find which wires are live all the time, and which are only live when the switch is on, soon sorts it out.

Hi I am looking to fit a led mirror in downstairs w/c could you advise me on this. I cant take power from spot lights in ceiling as they are on a pull switch on/off, so if I wired into that it would mean the led would only come on when the spotlights are on. Only other option I was think would be to take it off a socket wire running up on the ceiling upstairs ,would I be right in saying so ,as I think that would give live feed. Great video but I was wondering how you wired up the mirror? I’m looking at buying an led cabinet with built in shaver socket. From what I see they just come with a wire sticking out of the back? Instructions just say to connect them up but my question is what do you use to connect them? Wago’s? Junction boxes etc and where does this connection position, is it behind the cabinet, in the wall cavity? Etc
Great video followed the instructions for my own bathroom up untill I hit a metal stud between the hole and shave socket....any tips to get past the stud without having to take off a tile to drill hole on the stud or find the hole?

Hi, Hoping you can help me with my double dimmer switch question as have a few in new flat moved into. Left switch turns all the lights on and right switch appears to do nothing. Two 3 core cables in the back with wires going to each L1 and C positions. L1’s have a looped wire going from one of the L1 positions into the other L1 position. Black wires are joined together but not connected to switch. Left switch turns on 8 spot lights in my lounge. Thanks for any guidance .
Apprentice question: Is that black twin and earth? Also is there any reason why getting the feed off the shaved socket is permissible? Just seems odd that’s all? Is it just basically a spur?
With these types of led mirrors or any type for that matter can they be wired to a switch for on/off We want these to come on when you turn the main lights on...so you don't have to touch the mirror to activate the LEDs

College you get qualified you only start to learn how to do your job once your on site working with the guys and learning from them . Like driving just because you can doesn’t mean your any good at it .
But do you answer the comments. Sparky on my job, domestic, new house build, has done 8mm earth bond to gas meter. Hasnt bothered with the stop even though its 3 meters from the CU. Pulled him on it as iv always understood you put a 10mm to both. He shrugged it off as don't need one to stap tap because the installation contains plastic pipe. Stop tap and surronding pipework is copper. Is this a new reg and can he get away with 8mm. Cheers in advance. Great videos and work ethic.
If an incoming extraneous conductive part ie water main comes in in solid copper and so does the gas yes they need to be bonded at source regardless of what pipe work has been used throughout the installation. 8mm cables does not exist.
@@Cjrelectrical The incoming water is ldpe plastic, converts to copper before coming through timber floor to the stop tap. The gas is a brand new plastic supply. The bond must be 6 as its definately not 10mm.

What is the shaver socket wired in at 7:55 is it just two T&E taped together?

Yep but might default to off when power is clicked off so you’d have to touch the mirror every time anyway.
