That long delay between photo mode and video mode is because you have to pass through the Off position on the way there. That initiates sensor cleaning, so it has to let that complete before turning on video mode.

Air vents = Absolutely not weather sealed, I'm afraid. Also, the lack og IBIS isn't mainly justified by better digital stabilization, but rather the intended use cases of the camera. IBIS can cause issues in high action situations, and the people using this will probably want to use external camera support systems. Sounds to me like you would prefer the original R5 😜

@@Ohyehah wrong. Just like the s1h, the vents don’t compromise weather sealing. They’re not open to the inside of the camera.

If I want to purely photography should i get the R5C? Is the photo mode better on the R5C than the R5? - I know it sounds like a daft question but its a lot of money I am about to spend.

Was the autofocus similar to the C70 or the R5 in video mode?

I love this guy. So funny so chill. But not 1 sec of useful footage. Also he crashed his lens on the back hard on that wall. Cheers bro.
What looks beautiful about these logs is the c200 image as usual. Or c300 ii in earlier videos.

What cam is being used to film this? The IQ actually looks better than the R5c's.

Thanks for the review "That Camera Guy". To be honest I've watch a ton of your videos, but it would take a while to remember your actual name.

"and that battery lasts about 2 seconds" omg dead
is it weird to think that the C70 is still a better option as a "workhorse" camera? because of battery life and built-in ND's? Is the IBIS identical on the C70 vs R5C? (great videos Kai!!)

It doubting it ability to shoot amazing photos and Video but I think it was a weird choice to include the Photo/Video switch in that way. One of the most useful feature of my Sony A1 and A7iv is the ability to be in photo mode and with the click of a customizable button I can instantly be shooting video too.

I had no idea Dan Chung was filming you until the very end! Man I haven't seen that dude since Steadicam workshop in 2012. But anyways thanks for the review! It helped me decide to NOT purchase the R5, but rather wait for a hybrid setup like the R5C.

I haven't looked up the specs but why would I picked this over the R6 or R5? I have the RP and I do hybrid work. I wish I had IBIS so I'm looking at the R6 when my funds are right. I know there was issues with over heating but I seen a few people say the R6 fits their needs. So if someone has any input I would love it. Thank you
