all I ever wanted is a small camera with waveform...thank you guys!!! very helpful tool and it is the right step in my opinion. I love that you brought the cinema eos to the R5, that is a very very good decision! Cinema EOS is so much better for video shooting than any dslr/mirrorless so far...

Adding a battery grip to compensate the poor battery would probably add up more weight to its body. No issues if using a cage setup. For run and gun, it is a bit of disappointment since the camera being video centric primarily. How hard it was for the Canon to design the camera to integrate a R3 battery in it.
What cinema lens and rf lens did you shoot this with? What filters did you use? Great job...
Canon, send one R5C to one the space stations. We need 8k video of earth.
If they can afford to be in space they can afford any camera they want, no?
is the weather sealing the same or better than C70? We shoot outdoors a lot and our C70 sadly got issues from a small drizzle on the touch screen.

I mean look at that dp AF. It’s there. I mean people are actually shedding tears because of this camera. For hybrid shooters - this camera is so important. It’s a Revolution.
Even when the R5 and R6 came out we were so happy. But I just could not settle with the overheating of R5 and low MP of R6. I went with the EOS R.
Now Full Frame R5 with no overheating - already good enough but then you have all my lenses still working, waveform, false colour, 8K 60 -
I don’t think even Canon understand what this is - It’s a Revolution
similar to when 5Dmk 2 came out.
People who overly do video can buy all That C70 stuff with no full frame that can’t even take a picture. For me as a hybrid shooter - I won’t even accept the C70 as a Free gift. For me - this is the only possibility.
I think they are going to sell hundreds of millions of this camera.
Canon is going to be rich.
Please in the next iteration just add all the input jacks from the blackmagic pocket 6k pro.
I like to use my own filters so I don’t really need the inbuilt NDs.
I really cannot settle so since I am going to buy that camera R5C that means many millions of people will buy That camera.
Canon please remember it is not about crippling cameras it is about quantity sold. 10million x 4000 (R5C)
Is more money than 100,000 x 6000 (C70).
So the name of the game is simple. Give the people what They want.

Nice! Great drone work David Gu! I have a few questions about the heat build up. How long does it take before the ventilator comes on when filming 4k/60fps and dstabilization is being used? Will it be possible to shut off the ventilator in case of special situations like underwater shooting in a housing?

Why does the R5 C not offer auto Iris with EF-lenses? My 5d MKIV could do it, I even think my 5d MK II could. But not this one? Major bummer!!

I think with that the camera would grow further in size after they introduced the fan. I still wonder how Sony A7S3, Nikon Z9, Panasonic S1R all manage to keep it cool with such high end features.

@@TJ-ev5uw It's about the sensor size and RAW recording. Sony and Panasonic don't even do RAW. The Nikon Z9 supposedly records RAW for a couple hours before it shuts down. But it's also a bigger body, which should help dissipate heat better.
@@vitaminb4869 Good to know. I see them as perfect hybrid cameras. One may go for a cine camera if they want high end features like unlimited raw recording and full sensor readout. Not everybody want 8K 60. I have been a Canon user for over 14 years and now I'm stuck with bunch of EF lenses. I was looking into the R5 before all these over heat fiasco emerged. Now IBIS is gone in R5C. A hybrid camera should be best of both worlds for photography and video. An EIS is no match to IBIS when it comes to photography. By launching R5C, Canon now want you to buy a cage setup to incorporate external PD for full 8K60p shooting, a stabilizer for stable footage, atmos ninja for external display and mic. This is hardly a hybrid setup. I prefer run and gun often. I don't prefer to carry around a bunch of accessories attached to my main camera always.
@@TJ-ev5uw You don't need to attach anything to the R5C. You can use it as is, unless you want 8K60 RAW, you just need an external battery pack. All my lenses have IS, so I don't really care about IBIS.

Hi! We can confirm that the EOS R5 C does not have in-body image stabilisation.
I thought it didn't have IBIS?
Ok, what does "when I am shooting with RF lenses, I get even better stabilization"? I thought this camera did not feature IBIS...
Lenses have their own stabilization. IBIS is just a nice thing to have for stills, with lenses that dont have IS especially.

for the money I rather get the R5... and a 🤔 Ninja V+... and still cheaper! the C70 is a better cinema camera... I think the new cinema line of canon the 8K 200fps ones are the ones to be looking at... they seems amazing
@1:05 you say it has 5-Axis Electronic IS: This is NOT CORRECT. The R5 has IBIS, but NOT the R5C! If you use Canon lens with IS, you get that benefit. But using Cine lens - the ONLY IS option is digital IS (i.e. cropping). But having said that - I still love the camera. For shooting with a Cine lens on a boat however, I would opt for a gimbal if I wanted stabilization.

Thank you! We are at the time that any one of these cameras will get the job done. They have given us all the power! I honestly don’t see anything different from A7iv besides a couple of fps outputs and such. Canon is behind and they know it. 8k is not needed hardly 4k is.
Right, but if you want to shoot 8K RAW, then only 1 camera will do it.

Disappointed in that it has no IBIS also on how long it takes to switch from video to photo. 8 secs!!! Really!!! The subject has come and gone. They crippled another one boys!!!

@@jsleger3404 Kai shows it in his latest video. Was definitely a long time. I would agree. For wildlife like I do. Can’t wait 8 seconds to swap from photo to video. Even 1-2 seconds is too long sometimes. I got red button on top of R5 for instant 4k 120p recording so I can immediately get a clip from stills mode. But if you are doing videos mainly. Maybe isn’t as big of an issue. But for photo journalist or something. 8 seconds is prob too long as well.
This camera is a perfect example of why the camera industry is rapidly going the way of the dinosaur. Absurdly priced niche camera for the 1%. Hey Canon, where are the budget RF mount cameras and lenses for the other 99%? Its like you have just given up and are content to let Apple and Google run the photography world. Sad.
