      I like all budgets - but yes this one is more affordable - and black friday sale will be a doozy!

    I’m just excited to use the 3D on this because I have a lot of 3d Blu-ray collections can’t wait!!!
    U think Valerion plus 2 is better than this & which one has deeper blacks u think ??

    • @BuildMontage
      @BuildMontage  11 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Yes Pro2 will be better black levels due to the EBL

      @ but I’m talking about plus 2 not pro 2 .. what u think ?

      That’s what I’m saying, plus 2 was also very good contrast wise because lower brightness helps the black floor

    How does this conpare to the nebula cosmos 4k se? Or Hisense c1? Out of all 3 which would you pick for oicture quality and contrast in a blackout room ? Im trying to decide. Thanks

      This is UST so I'd only compare with other USTs. I think this is one of the best, the best one being the 3500 Pro.

    Hello , thx for sharing! Is 2500 universal voltage? I find a huge discount during Black Friday 🎉

    • @BuildMontage
      @BuildMontage  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It takes 240v from my unit here in Australia. I am not sure which voltage you need?

    What would you recommend this or the Ultimia Thor T60?

    • @BuildMontage
      @BuildMontage  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Either is great but my preference would be the AWOL

  • @dotnetdevni

    If they had of just made that cut out a bit bigger and a mount would been ideal place for a apple 4k

  • @mephInc
    @mephInc 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    The only drawback to these (for me) is that make it difficult /odd to attempt to run a full-size center.

    What do you think is better picture quality crisp & deeper blacks??? Valerion plus 2 or AWOL 2500??? ANYONE??

    • @BuildMontage
      @BuildMontage  11 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Made by the same company really, so the technology is similar but you get better blacks with EBL on the Pro2, also the Plus2 is decent but I havent tested that one in person yet.

    A UST doesn't make a great deal of sense in a dedicated room though, unless there is a very particular reason/requirement for it, although I don't know what that would be. The ability to have a dedicated room in the first place would strongly indicate you have budgeted for an acoustic screen with speakers behind that (and other treatments), therefore a ceiling-mounted long throw will be optimal. UST projectors absolutely have their use case, but far more so in a non-dedicated room, and when paired with a specialised lenticular/fresnel screen. But if you're not going 120"+, you might as well just get a 98" TV in that environment.

    • @BuildMontage
      @BuildMontage  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I know plenty of people that love having it in their dedicated room. Personally I am with you on this and would prefer a ceiling mounted projector, but I think it makes more sense to have it with an AT screen than not, only because you don't have an issue with a center speaker placement - although, yes you need the lenticular screen material which is not possible to do with acoustically transparent... I wasn't specifically pitching this projector to be used in a dedicated room - I just used my dedicated room for the review :)

    • @frangipani-dreams
      @frangipani-dreams 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@BuildMontage Yeah, exactly - I think USTs are brilliant for their intended use case. They give the best picture with a lenticular screen, but as you say, that rules out the possibility of having speakers behind a screen, which you'd certainly want in a dedicated room for that centre channel placement. It's an obvious compromise you have to make with a lenticular screen, but in a room where there is a lot of ambient light to deal with, it's one you have to make to enjoy content that isn't washed out in daylight hours. Some people also may be in rentals of course, so running HDMI and power through their ceiling etc. for a ceiling mount projector won't be possible.

      @@frangipani-dreams Many people have used UST's with fixed frame AT screens plus most all of them including the AWOL can be ceiling mounted. Speckle mainly only an issue with ALR screens so I don't see an AT screen having those problems.

    • @frangipani-dreams
      @frangipani-dreams 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@justinbeamon6624 A UST requires a fresnel screen for best performance, which cannot be AT. A regular screen (AT or not) will see a massive amount of light just bounced back to the ceiling. It's night and day difference. Sure, you can use one, but it's an enormous compromise.
