I like projectors so much more than TV's because I can do the picture size I want and can jump from one picture size to another. TV's can also overwhelm the room but with the projector I can project on a wall and after I stop watching it the room is clean again.
Screens are expensive to create and ship, to a degree. But some of the bundled deals seem to almost include a screen. Check them out on both Amazon and their own site
AWOL going crazy with the ads and deals. Multiple channels pushing out a video review with a discount code on top of the prime deal. Now seems to be the best time to buy one, so I caved....
Thanks for showing the 2500 some love.. I felt like i was the only person that actually had one! All the coverage was on it's bigger brothers.minei sfinally going ot get installed and configured soon by an integrator but I bought it a little over a year ago right when AWOL was bouncing between naming thhe the 3000 the 2500 Pro. I called in and spoke to someone at the company and he reccomended I save some money and get the 2500 since I would be putting it in a theaterish room and wouldnt see a difference really with the 3000 or 3500 brightness. So im pretty excited about it.
can you edge blend 2 of them? AWOL won't respond to my question but I assume you will because you have the ability to get 2. I want to create a large 2.35 image so I think with software and edge blending we can use 2 and create an ultra wide image without needing to invest in an anamorphic lens and long throw setup.
The 3000 Pro is probably if you're paying that much money the best money to features one you can get especially if you get it in a combo deal with one of these screens
Hello. I am moving to a house that has a media room. The room size is only 14x15. Question: for a media room that will be dark when watching, do we still need the ALR screen. Also please suggest can I go for 120 inch in a 14x15 foot room.
120 inch will be fine. I am building a theater room at the moment that is 14' wide by 23' deep, so same width as you and will be using a 135" screen. My only suggestion would be to check that you have adequate height, as the UST projectors have a vertical gap between the top of the unit and the bottom of the projected image. Also, I will be installing mine with a non-ALR, acoustically transparent screen. I'm a bit of a guinea pig here, as I always see these with ALR screens, but for me an acoustically transparent screen was a must for proper center speaker placement. Once my theater is done (probably sometime in November) I will try to post up a video so people can see what this combination looks like in a light controlled room with no windows and dark paint.
Can both the 2500 and 3500 pro project 4 channels at once? I saw that in your 150" screen demo. Is that a function of the projector or is from the Apple TV or firestick? Thanks.
Hey @B, How does this compare with the Dangbei DBX02 that just came out.... other than Dolby Vision, are they on par picture wise? I'm looking at the Dangbei over this Awol 2500 pro for placement issue and easy of moveability but the game mode at 8ms is really tempting, and of course now as the price is $2080 atm.... pros and cons for these two models?

Hope AWOL can lower their screens' prices, because most people wouldn't spend $2,400~$3,000 on a projection screen.
Maybe it's not being marketed towards them.

Hi B the alr floor rising screen has it got good viewing angles if your sitting off center and at which angle does it start to get really dark
I felt the floor rising one had great wide angle viewing. We did the 3500 pro with that screen. Look back in my videos.
