- Nature holds the power to heal. Observing the rhythms of the real world, the natural world, has always been my favorite way to heal parts of myself that need a little extra love and TLC.
Something that I think is amazing about watching the seasons come and go, with stillness and curiosity, is the ability to realize things about yourself and others that perhaps were always there, just hiding under the surface of the very busy waking mind.
Just as the seasons change through upheaval and renewal, so do our thoughts and feelings and perspectives.
I made this video as a balm for anyone who is experiencing heartbreak, grief, sadness, loneliness, depression, anxiety, or anything else that makes you think “this horrible feeling is never going to go away”.
Although circumstances are different for everyone, things can and will get better.

With the break of ice on meandering creeks
and children playing, with rosy cheeks,
I hear the sound of birds in the sky
and the pangs of hunger from tiny beaks
The ground has severed its frozen ties;
underneath is life, which never dies
Plants will sprout and grow some buds
and flowers will bloom for the butterflies
Farewell, O winter's icy glare;
the season is thawing everywhere
And, high above the towering peaks,
gazing down, where nature speaks,
the mountains draw a springing glow
as the rapids spawn with a gushing flow
The season retreats, slow and steady,
Begone, winter; spring is ready!
