It's too bad we don't see this truck in the USA. Even if we do finally get it, we won't see the 2.2L diesel. :(

Yeah, the RS's 2.3 petrol turbo. Need the Bi-turbo diesel for overlanding.

Been putting off buying a new car. Hoping this thing shows up in the states soon.

Thanks for watching, starting price 27k for the Xlt, but only the petrol for the States sadly. Are many people buying them over there?

This is exactly what I am looking for in a truck and I am ready to buy... Why the fuck hasn't Ford released it in America? I am looking at a new stripped down F150 with crew cab, I love the aluminum body and steel frame idea, along with the outlets, but they do not offer it in manual or diesel which I want as well. It is almost like you can't win and they do this shit on purpose, it is frustrating enough to make me want to get a Nissan Frontier and just swap a Dodge diesel in it...

Thanks for watching. I see they finally brought the Ranger into USA. Not bad at 27k starting price. But with the petrol 2.3 engine only. Good engine, but the 2 litre bi-turbo diesel has much better torque and range for overlanding. Why no love for the diesels in USA?

you said it. The truth hurts, you are not allowed to point out the frailties of cars, nor can you swear. I guess they have not watched TV. Don't know how clarkson got away with it for years, the dudes'a legend. I'm gonna start going old skool next year and kit out my own 4x4 and then its on like donkey kong :).

+Africa Sideways stupid isnt it, your a real fella doing real reviews for real people, what do they expect.. Hope there wasnt many bad points to the Ranger you tried, pickin mine up next, hope theyve sorted the px problems out on the px2.

Thanks Greg, appreciate the support. Its a fantastic truck to driver on and off road when its new so you'll have loads of fun. The 2.2 is a touch under-powered but very economical for the size. Sell it once it comes out of the service plan, turbos a little dodgy after 150 000.

SO I just gonna tell it can have the engine you want this car suck because at the farm of my father we get the in a hilux and we never have any problem we dont have to activate 4wd and few days ago a friend of mine get to the farm and got stuck in the mud and enable the 4wd and it doesn`t have any difference with 4wd and not the car continued stuck so it sucks I think it is a matter of weight and weight distribution and not just a big engine.

Hi, you need to engage 4x4 before you get suck, sometimes it does not engage once its stuck. The hilux is dangerously overrated, check this out: th-cam.com/video/xoHbn8-ROiQ/w-d-xo.html

Complete bullshit is what i saw in your review. I'm in Australia and a review like yours would get you kicked out of a kindergarten let alone a 4wd club. Total advertising bias for Ford. We have Ford Rangers and Mazda BT50's blowing engines regularly here but you sing it's off road praises by driving on a solid track with a smidgen of sand covering it. You're a disgrace to the intelligence of other human beings. Tell the truth- the 2.2L is gutless and the 3.2L destroys itself because of faulty engine design.

Hi Noel, fair cop, have heard about some turbos giving dramas after 150 000km, nice to drive, but can be expensive once out of service plan. The D4d is not without its own issues, and the Navara uses a Renault engine... I'd say the Isuzu has the most reliable 3.0l on the market at the moment.

Thank you I appreciate your courteous reply in accepting what i had to say. I own a Ranger and my son has a BT50 that grenaded itself while doing 100kmh on a highway with only 50,000 k's on the clock. Not a turbo problem at all. Not heard of many turbo problems but heaps of genuine blown engines with oil sprayed everywhere from holes in the block! Sounds a bit more serious than a turbo at 150k. We in Australia will swap our blown engines for your blown turbo any day. Btw Mazda replaced the engine free even though it was a year out ofwarranty. Ford I have read have refused to accept some claims blaming the fitment of bullbars as the cause. That's not right.
