I bought a brand new 03 TL-S and still own it. 260k miles, 3 transmissions (2 under warrant, 1 I did from 07 accord @ 147k no prob since) is it other than Tires, brakes (rotors/pads, couple calipers), batteries, 1 set HIDs. That's it EVERYTHING works and still looks good. Been waiting for the TLX Type-S for Almost year now. Sounds like end of May now. Your clips keep me Pacified with TLX content till then. Thanks!

The Enkei yx-5 wheels look like the old TL Type s wheels,I’m gonna get a set for my wife’s 05 TL,they’re new and since Enkei makes most of the wheels for Honda,ya know they’re gonna be good quality. Hello from British Columbia

Dyno with each Modification is very professional. I really enjoyed the air box open dyno pull that lost HP. Too many aftermarket ait intakes empty your wallet while losing HP and making more noise.

Preorder was only available in Canada market with only about 200ish units available for preorder. Regardless it’s one of the highest anticipation vehicles in 2021

I am not hating but I came from VW/Audi and the EA888 2.0 engines were pulling 70-80 hp and 120-lbtq with just a tune on 91oct, not even downpipe. I am saying that I am not hating because 2 days ago we just picked a 2021 Acura RDX and we are looking at getting a tune, I am just not impressed by the results and please don't take it personal, it has nothing to do with you is just that I was expecting a whole lot more from the K20C4 turbo. My .2c. on a different note, thank you son much for putting these awesome video, you have a good looking car. We had a chance to buy the blue RDX with the red seats in the past but at the time we were cross shopping other brands, by the time we decided to get the blue RDX now the dealer only had whites and silvers for the most part..lol
I agree, currently owning an s3 and simple tune gain 70+ hp and 100lb ft, from a stage 1 tune is nuts, but I guess the Honda/acura ones need an upgraded turbo to be able to make big gains

@@jakob.2is968 when I bought mine I had to replace the Haldex pump on it because the front wheels were peeling out when launching it, I think there somewhat common but not an expensive thing to do it yourself nor that hard
@@jakob.2is968 there are some forums of people having to change there spark plugs and coil packs to upgraded ones because of rough idle or lack of power

The 10AT is would shift faster than a manual. the 2.0 accord goes .5 seconds faster to 60 with the 10AT

great results the tlx look sweet, now you guys should get a full intake system for it,get the aftermarket turbo intake pipe that is available for the type-r and a full aftermarket either cold air intake or short ram intake

Thx for this vid I had to come back because finally I just got my K tuner for my TLX Type S, I was told it took so long because the ECU is different & more complex than the aspec so they had to figure out how to configure the maps without so there won't be any problems. I hope you do a vid on Type S tune as well

@@iamdrewski39 Its so bad, that the 2L Accord absolutely destroys it. From a roll, a stop, whatever. It might FEEL better because of the torque vectoring, but it definitely isn't more efficient. Its heavier, more power lost in the drivetrain, the list goes on really.
@My Pets no... the car loses power because of the SH-AWD to begin with. honestly most fwd biased AWD cars aren’t good not just the SH-AWD. they need to completely redesign it, but this time take some notes from Mitsubishi and Subaru and they’d have a killer Awd system. hell even nissan creates a better AWD than that bs.
All AWD systems rob some power away even with clutch engaged or electronic system since extra weight will be added. Regardless, it has plenty of Pros specially for the northern regions or off terrain. SH-AWD intents to be high performance specially for power distribution to each individual wheel which has a huge advantages on cornering and acceleration. All AWD systems have their own Pros and Cons. One size doesn’t fits all.
Wonder what the difference would be with the KN drop in vs the PRL stage 1. Uses their filter and just replaces the intake hose with their smoother silicone one.

Cool on the downpipe, but we all know the restrictions on factory vehicles is the OEM airbox and the stock exhaust because it's for compliance (noise level reduction, fuel economy.) If you're running the stock airbox (even with a K&N drop filter) and stock exhaust, you're not getting the most you can out of the tune.
First car power modification rule #1: Get the most air in, and the most air out. Unless you have a Mazda SkyActiv engine where the software smacks you for opening up the air volume and velocity and just makes the car loud.

Are these numbers less than the Accord 2.0T. (Yes every dyno is different but these numbers seem low even though it’s the same drivetrain).

Wonder how this would stack up against the Lexus IS 500 FSP and Infiniti Q50 RS. I feel like this TLX Type-S would be quicker off the line and possibly to 60. But I feel like once the IS 500 FSP hits it’s stride and start to sing it’s game over.
I think the stock downpipe is plenty for the stock turbo set up. The only time I would upgrade the downpipe is if I got a bigger turbo. Intercooler is a must with any tune!

$1000 for 22 hp isn't very good honestly. I like the car, and with the torque, it probably feels pretty quick, but that's a lot of money for little power.

gotta think abt what’s being modded. A downpipe and better air filters won’t get you much out of a vtec I4. And it’s no secret those engines love boost
Is that wheel HP and TQ for the Acura? Doesn't the 10th Gen Accord hits those numbers without all the mods
Yea kinda bummed. I want and love how the Acura looks. But you have to think the Acuras handling is way better. It's more grown up too. If you're looking for numbers the Accord is better...
What’s the exact model number for this kn filter
I'd love to see a 0-60 or 1/4 mile time! I haven't seen many tests other than mags but a stock shawd tlx seems to be slower than a 2.0t accord?

This car looks perfect from the factory as is. I wouldn't even lower it. Love the Vossens and the Aero kit though.
The downpipe only added 3hp. Not worth the money. The K&N filter did a better job of adding 4hp.
