    What is your average distance to your subject because it seems like you are taking shots in a short distance. I am using the same focal length but when I review my shots like a 15-20ft away from the subject it’s kinda small really.

      thanks man! glad you liked the vid - the mini LED panel mostly comes out when:
      1. Taking the thumbnail for these vids lol (I use two for that split colour look)

      @@JimmyShixin it was the first thing I bought for my A6400, together with a screen protector. Shaves that one layer of stress off quite nicely :D Still didn't get a Clip because the body is compact enough to get away with hand-holding it. Alternatively, got me a cheap Caden sling backpack which works great for a minimal setup of camera + two lens and some filters in the front compartment. Just my two cents, or I guess pennies depending where you're from :D

  • @HondaAholic
    @HondaAholic 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

    I noticed at one point you had your exposure down but iso was at 320.. why wouldn't you lower iso and raise exposure?

    • @JimmyShixin
      @JimmyShixin  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      not sure I understand the Q tbh, exposure is a function of shutter speed, aperture and ISO from my understanding, so ISO is part of the "ingredients" that make up the overall exposure (how bright the image is)

    • @HondaAholic
      @HondaAholic 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @JimmyShixin Sorry.. your exposure compensation is what I meant. Excuse my ignorance, I'm just getting into photography and trying to learn it all.

    • @JimmyShixin
      @JimmyShixin  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      nah dont worry man, and I don't really know how to use exposure comp tbh lol, I always thought it was just smth that told u if youre over or underexposed

    great shots but why do you shoot on high aperture and not 1.4?

    • @JimmyShixin
      @JimmyShixin  2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      So I read that lenses are never at their sharpest at their lowest aperture so even for portraits I use something like F2 unless its really dark or I want a REALLY blurry background
      During the day, when shooting street photos or for architecture I use higher apertures because 1. I don't need the blurry background or let in as much light and 2. I want more things to be in focus (at F1.4 only a thin slice is in focus)
