My story on how I know God is real
A couple of days ago now my brother and i were working on a double brick double story house, and the bricklayers were building the internal walls (to create rooms), there was a big metal bar in one of the rooms and my brother called me to move it so we can clean up the floor,I came and we took about 1 minute to move it and rest it against one of the existing already built walls, and just as we moved away from the bar to start cleaning the floors,I hear yelling and Screaming and I also see one of the 2.5 metre tall internal wall come tumbling right down and crashing all over the floor merely missing my brother and I by not even a metre from where we were standing at the time, infact my brother was so close he said he felt the wind of the edge of the wall miss his head, the scary part about all this is that about 7 seconds before the wall fell down we were standing EXACTLY where the wall fell,if we waited just a couple more seconds we both would have been dead, and we aren't even out of teenage yet. The night before I prayed to Christ that he protect my family and I,he sure did,I will never ever doubt the existence of Jesus no matter what any atheist tries to tell me now. May God bless

After gabbi, my sister, helped me give my life to Christ, we read the Bible and I learned about God until night came. When it was time to go to bed, I slept on the top bunk, and her on the bottom. I remember sleeping, and literally my dream was amazing. All I saw were words of what I had learned about God, and it was a whole prayer, IN MY DREAM! I was praying subconsciously and the words I was praying were popping out as I said them in color, and the previous words I said would disappear! I remember waking up from that, and being like “woah! thank you God!”. My sister asked me if I was awake, and I said yes. I asked her what time it was, and guess what she said! 3:05 am! I asked her when did she wake up and she said “literally like 5 minutes ago!” I started telling her about my dream, and she said she had a crazy one too! She said in her dream, she saw 3 angels around me! One on my right holding my shoulder, one on the left holding my shoulder, and then one in the middle standing tall behind me! AND GUESS FREAKING WHAT! THEY WERE PRAYING OVER ME!!! JUST LIKE IN MY DREAM WITH THE PRAYERS! and after this, I looked up what the meaning of the angels were, and it said “angels do this when there is a sinner who repents and puts finds Jesus Christ.” THIS WAS LITERALLY THE NIGHT AFTER I ACCEPTED JESUS AS MY LORD AND SAVIOR!
So yeah. It’s pretty crazy! And what makes me even more amazed at the power of God is that this is REAL LIFE! it wasn’t a thought or anything, it was real!
I just wanted to share this with you all, I hope it helps you in your faith because it truly shows God is most definitely, real

Forgot to mention that they died for the messiah as martyrs. They wouldn't do that for a lie.
    !!EDIT!!
Before you comment, please note that I am well aware of people dying for their religious beliefs nowadays too.
What I ment was this. They were THE eyewitnesses of Jesus's dwelling and death. His disciples were the only ones able to rightly judge whether the whole Jesus thing was legit or false. THEY KNEW IT, nobody just told them nor did they read stories of sb. They LIVED with Jesus!
Today, in order to question the gospel, many accuse them of willingly implementing a lie. All I'm saying is, nobody lays down ones life willingly for a made up hoax fabricated by yourself. Therefore the explanation the disciples were deliberately lying and confirming that lie the their own death is highly unlikely and illogical.

Paul before his journey to Damascus was one of the most powerful men in the region. He had wealth, knowledge, and authority. His sole mission was to seek out Christ believers and kill them... he gave it all up to ensure the true Word of God was known to the world. As he was being lead to have his head cut off he was still sharing the Good News and the Legionnaire walking him to the block kneeled with him for he too had accepted Christ and was going to martyr alongside Paul.

This video is a joke. I and guess a lot of the dislikes are from smart Christans themselves.
      1. They obviously don't mean that there is litterly no truth. They just try to respect others people religions by saying something can be true for them. Now persenally I too think it's a bad statement. But this video has an absurd explenation for why. When people say "everyone has their own truth" they just mean that everyone deserves religious freedom and so they try to be more kind and say that all religions are equally true. In ehich the statement comes from.
      2. Here you are obviously referring to the big bang theory. And it looks right you are a genious! You just debunked thousends of proffesional scientists by yourself! Are you dumb? Have you even studied this subject? Now I havn't either so don't trust me 100%. But I atleast looked intoo the damn subject. The big bang does NOT mension how the univers started, only sort of. It says that the univers started expanding a lot of time ago from a point to the gifantic thing we have now. It says nothing about matter, space, or time being created. Just that some billions of years ago, the univers started expanding. And we do not know what came before.
I know there are scientific evidense for the big bang, but I don't care enough, and I am not smart enough to show you it.
And let me just use your own argument agaist you. How did God get created out of simingly nothing?
      3. Yes if 1:1 is true then miracales are possible. But I said in point-2, genesis 1:1 isn't true.
      4. Why would people lie, when it was very taboo at the time?
You could simply copy paste this argument to hinduism, buddhism, sikhism, germanic tales and almoust all other religions of the world. Why would people lie about islam? Muhammed was an outcast when he first introduced his religion, so he hadn't any motive either. Does that mean islam is true by your logic? Or maybe it spooky scary satan that created all other religions this way.
Besides I am going to introduce you something called P-R-O-O-F. Saying this isn't 100% proof as it should be, when talking about science. People can lie, and I don't know the motive, but that doesn't mean that there shouldn't be a motive that we do not know about.
I have Christian friends which I very much like, and I respect all christians. But please:
      1. Know that there isn't any point of arguing religion as it is obvious that even if you had valid points most people wouldn't belive you and stay with their own religions.
      2. Maybe look intoo the subjects a bit more next time.

I am proud to be a Christian, and above all an Orthodox Christian, unlike some other "religions", our faith has been spread by word, not by sword, not to mention all the attrocities we have endured during the centuries as well: " If the world hates you, remember it hated me before you". Greetings to all my Christian brothers and sisters, God bless you.

@@lyongreene8241 By which the Lord means : " I came to divide good from evil, to make a clear distinction, because we cannot worship and serve two masters, nor can we walk two paths". Another way this verse can be understood is as a "warning" If you will, Meaning that his teaching will cause his chosen students ( the 12 apostols) a divide from their families, and will lead them to a lot of harm. The path we as Christians have chosen to walk is not easy, but it is the righteous one. Hope this helps you understand the verse better, brother. Peace be unto you.

@@Zile98 It was also the knowledge of good and evil that got Adam and Eve thrown out of paradise, but I do agree with one notion you brought up. Jesus came to disrupt the established order, humble the greatest empire of his time and the rulers of his age. He made sure that his name hung on the lips of every ruler for several millenia to come. I believe what Jesus is saying here is that he will divide the weak from the chaft, the righteous from the unrighteous and he will do so by the sword, or the wrath and divine judgement of God
Also the path Christians walk is easy. Jesus even says "my yoke is easy and my burden is light." If you're finding it burdensome to follow Jesus, you are doing it wrong. Jesus also says "a servant is not greater than his master" so if you find yourself consistentally falling short of the standard Christ set for us it is because you have made other things your master, either vanity or vice, addiction, etc.

    • @Zile98

@@lyongreene8241 Greetings brother, if i may, again try to help you see the real meaning of the verse again.
So, by saying " My yoke is easy and my burden is Light" he did not mean that out path is easy. Im not trying to be smarter than you, or offend you, but you can't single out the verse and focus entirely on it, because then it makes no sense.
So, what the Lord meant here is " If you are troubled, or sad, lonely, hopeless and tired. Come to me, because things that trouble you, are nothing compared to me, i will be the one that's going to help you overcome them, and in me you will find an eternal bliss.
And, again the path we walk is not easy, and the Lord knows this, he knows us by name, every single one of us.
By saying this, he also basically says: " I know how hard it is, i know your temptations, i was tempted before you, in a much worse way, just come to me, i will be your shield, i will be your fortress, and i will be there. Whenever you fall I will be there to help you get back up." Thank you for answering my previous comment, brother. Peace be unto you.

I'm still having doubts since I'm new to this but I will say the reason Christianity is making sense is because of Jesus's act of dying on the cross. Jesus's story feels like the perfect end to all the religious stories we hear from before hand. From those stories it clearly seems God is trying different things to save mankind from pain, despair, and evil. With Jesus the Ultimate thing happens. God saves mankind from pain, despair, and evil by showing how much he loves them and dying for their sins. All he asks is for their love. And that love he's asking them to give is not for his own sake, but for the sake of the people as with his love they don't love anything in the real world enough to feel too much pain, go into despair, and do evil things. It makes the most logical sense from a moral standpoint. Also the story of Jesus with the specific miracles he performed. It wasn't like before with trying to prove that he is God or sent by God. It was to show people the point of God, and the meaninglessness of the physical world.

    • @leferre9160
      @leferre9160 3 ปีที่แล้ว +10

You're almost there. God is not "trying different things to save" us. He's had a plan from the very beginning. He knew humanity would rebel against His sovereignty and, beforehand, He had decided to give Himself as a sacrifice for our sin. Prophecies about it have been revealed throughout the whole Old Testament (Jewish scriptures), from Genesis to Zechariah, hundreds of years before Jesus' birth (please check Isaiah chapter 53 for one of the clearest prophecies about His crucifixion).
Because God is Holy, as rebels, we couldn't be in full relationship with Him. Being perfectly just, He couldn't leave sin unpunished. And since He is perfectly gracious, He did what no one could ever do: suffer our death punishment, bring us back to life, and reconcile us with Himself. He rose from death so we didn't even need to carry the guilt for His sacrifice, and so we also could go back to life through Him, and live voluntarily under His authority. Here are some scriptures about it:
'You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly. Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous person, though for a good person someone might possibly dare to die. But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Since we have now been justified by his blood, how much more shall we be saved from God’s wrath through him! For if, while we were God’s enemies, we were reconciled to him through the death of his Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through his life! Not only is this so, but we also boast in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received reconciliation. ' Romans 5:6-11
'For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith-and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God- not by works, so that no one can boast. ' Ephesians 2:8-9
'Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. ' John 14:6
'The reason my Father loves me is that I lay down my life-only to take it up again. No one takes it from me, but I lay it down of my own accord. I have authority to lay it down and authority to take it up again. This command I received from my Father.” ' John 10:17-18
'He was delivered over to death for our sins and was raised to life for our justification.' Romans 4:25
'For this very reason, Christ died and returned to life so that he might be the Lord of both the dead and the living. ' Romans 14:9
May the Holy Spirit open your eyes and heart to understand and receive His grace.

It is pretty wordy so I will not cover that one. Then, at seventeen or eighteen, two friends and I had a disturbing and undeniable paranormal experience ouija boarding in a cemetery. One of those friends is now a very devoted born again Christian. I brought it up with him a year or two back and asked him why he thought we saw what he did and he told me that we out out faith into the board and the occult and what it had to offer and told me that the devil has his miracles, too.

How do you know it was a paranormal experience?
Ouija boards are examples of confirmation bias, plus it's frowned upon by a number of Christians.
My sister had an experience with Ouija board where she held it in place and could feel the other person holding it was trying to push it to the point there's fingers went white with the force.

A lot of times, people just object to Christianity itself because they don't want it to be true. Their judgment is clouded by emotions. Many claim that "science" disproves Christianity. This isn't true. Their logic is flawed: you cannot have an organized, beautiful, complex universe such as this one without an intelligent God who created it. Frank is sound in many of the arguments he presents for Jesus. I don't say all only because I don't know everything he says, but his videos really helped me come to faith in Jesus.

If you are willing to say they were following a wrong God, but got just as much positive change, then why does this convince you? I think this is what makes atheists like Richard Dawkins so mad, that they will be forgotten while an ancient person from 2000 years ago still has so much relevance in the world which is perhaps testimony itself to how true and correct everything he preached was. Unless you can tell me how the values Jesus taught of were wrong and how we shouldn't be forgiving or loving? Good luck with that. This video is a joke, and I am guessing a lot of the dislikes are from smart Christans themselves.
      2. Maybe look into the subjects a bit more next time.

@nickj14711 apologies for the delay, life stuff, kids etc. Also, wanted to give ye a reply in case their site doesn't. On a side, I don't agree with everything Frank says, but with my world-view, this video makes sense. Anyway, I'll try address yer points, in order, as best I can.
      1. Relativists say truth is only relative to the individual. If ye say absolute truth exists, then I have to ask poss the most profound question found in the bible. "What is truth?"
      2. General consensus (so far as I know) for big bang says there was nothing before. Then, something happened to nothing (scientifically impossible), and, long story short, here we are. Thus is the reasoning for the uncaused 1st cause. There had to be something to provide the material needed for said singularity to occur. It is reasoned that this comes from outside our current 4 dimensions of space-time. The 5th dimension. The end of Interstellar depicts the 5th dimension quite well. It's a similar idea to the universe-making machine. Why not such a machine? The fine-tuning of the universe. The numbers are just insane. Even DNA, the scientific"Book of life". Exact instructions on how to build an arm/leg etc. and for every living being? Would have to be a very personal intelligence.. uncomfortably so. Can ye get information without intellect? A uni-making machine would have to be even more fine-tuned to produce our universe. I've often likened God to the programmer and existence to the program. Frank didn't lie. God is a title, not a name. I know Him as Yahweh (YHVH), whereas you might say power/entity or the like.
      3. I would cite Google's definition of miracle.
      4. Yer question gives me the impression that ye haven't read it, or know it's history and culture (like most who claim to follow Christ I reckon). Which 4 of it's main claims are ye referring to? I'm guessing the death, burial, resurrection and ascension of Christ? I'd say maybe look at the book of "Acts" and subsequent letters to believers of the time. The actions(and reactions) of the disciples and apostles and the persecutions they endured, point to it happening, not the contrary. What did they, or Christ, gain from their actions? As to contemporary evidence, we can't re-resurrect Christ, so it's more of a history lesson than anything else. There are extra-biblical sources, but ye'll have to do the research and weigh it up for yourself, as I do. Finally, the Romans(aside from maybe 1 instance)didn't take any interest in Christ till he was brought to Pontius Pilate, and since then, though they screwed with it big-time, they brought it to the rest of the world. As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord. I disagree with most of church "doctrine". No Christmas, no Easter, no Sunday Sabbath etc.(see new2torah for more on that. Though, again, I don't agree with everything, I do test it). I hope this addresses yer points well enough, and thanks for the response. Blessings, j.

    • @jjxenon
      @jjxenon 5 ปีที่แล้ว

Again, my apologies. Seems the only quiet time I have is at this time of night. Anyhoo, I welcome the discussion.
On yer first point, there's no difference. was using"absolute" to differentiate from the"relative"truth position.
      2. Not nothing, but the singularity. I concede, fair enough, but what/who provided the materials and conditions needed for said singularity?
The fine-tuning is partly in the expansion itself. Too quick/slow an expansion would not have produced our universe.
RNA and DNA are two different acids. One is not responsible for the other.
Almost yer entire argument is from incredulity. Why is it so hard for ye to conceive that a "mind" created something complex? Especially after positing a uni-making machine?!? I'd say it's logical to say, if there's a painting, then a painter, a building, then a builder, a song, then a musician, a creation then a creator. Also, I didn't ask"what"-thought I knew that- I asked"why?".
      3. Google def is fine " an extraordinary and welcome event that's not explicable by natural/scientific laws. If big bang was explained, it wouldn't be a theory.
      4. Ye didn't spec, so I had to hazard a guess.
If ye gonna make an appeal to authority in Hawking, then I could use God as mine. In either case, yer worldview has a proverbial gun that started it off, mine puts a hand on the gun.
Evolution cannot use the scientific method as proof. At best, once again, ye have a theory, not fact. Can you give any credible evidence as to as change in kinds of species?
If yer gonna bring morality into it, then you've no ground to stand upon. All ye have is a subjective stance. Who are ye to say what's moral and what isn't? Am I saying yer immoral? Certainly not! Yer made in His image after all.
What contemporary sources are ye looking for, for something that happened with a very specific individual 2000 years ago?
Not sure what yer after there..if ye could elaborate, that'd be grand.
      Blessings,j.

@nickj14711 yeah dude I'm seeing your name all over the place still asking the same 4 questions. While hiding your sins by justifing you morality where ever your morality even comes from.
All a scientific theory is is just a theory that is widely accepted as true but still remains a theory none the less. You can check out the wiki page and see it for your self.
It says "widely accepted" it also meantions things that cant be tested thus abductive reasoning to conclude the theory. And abductive reasoning doesnt always verify something as true.
Evolution is merely a theory along with the big bang. You sir are dishonest.

Your fallacious arguments are mind boggling. Your claim that: “You have to have more faith to believe it didn’t occur, than it did”, is a fallacy known as proving a negative, where the burden of proof is shifted onto the one disagreeing with claim, rather than the person making the claim that a particular thing exists or happens.
It would be the same as me saying: It requires more faith to believe a balrog wasn’t in my room yesterday, than the faith required to believe it did.

    • @EduRB99
      @EduRB99 2 ปีที่แล้ว

You call fallacy even if you can't understand? Do you know the whole history? At first the Apostles ran away, they were afraid, terrified! After the resurrection they simply didn't care about their lives anymore, they went preaching, what kind of event if not seen Christ again could make such behavior change? More than 500 people saw the resurrected Jesus and were willing to die for testifying that. This is documented inside and outside of the Bible. There are 31 sources for Jesus. Considering the fact that the Roman Empire the most powerful on earth at the time and all Jerusalem's most powerful men also couldn't find Jesus body, the way Christianity spreaded all over the way it did, with so many people changing their lives, the converting of Paul, a Roman trained assassin designed to search and kill Christians, what kind of event would make a man like that to convert as a Christian if not seeing Jesus resurrected himself? The only reason he went there was to kill Christians... Paul's testemonial was so strong when he got back, considering who he was, that Romans themselves started converting and year later the whole empire became Christian! To imagine all that just didn't happen considering all the historical facts around it does require way more faith indeed! All the historical evidence collaborate with the New Testament, it's the most scrutinized book in history and no one could show any discrepancy between it and the other sources, Romans, Jewish, etc... To believe it was all a lie considering 2021 years of studying and no one could find any refutation, it's indeed just an act of faith...

When the state of something changes someone made a choice, or something happened in a chain reaction caused by a choice. @Trey Noland That could be the problem. Rather than ASSUMING someone is wrong, go and test it, challenge your assumptions. Get some physics and mathematics classes, just attend few lectures at a technical university you got nearby, they are mostly free for the public. It doesn't even have to be about some super complicated topic, just to make you see, how complex it is to prove anything and how super coherent the whole concept has to be. It takes over 300 pages (no exaggeration) to prove that 1 + 1 = 2, if you want this statement to be valid and to show anyone that you are right. When some physicist writes a thesis, the whole community is trying to challenge and debunk the idea, to point out where he is wrong, which is something that Christianity lacks, it just takes a rumor and proclaims it to be a valid unshakable statement.
So, where was I going - you can't look at what makes it valid, you have to search for things that make it invalid at first. And if you don't find any invalid statements in the theory, and all proofs come from unshakeable axioms, you succeed...
You can't say - it has some evidence. You have to say - it has no invalid statements that are in contradiction with the axioms we have.
Btw, in terms of research, I've read the Bible several times (and I've found the hard truth about how much Christians cherry-pick pieces of information and how evil their God is), attended church, and talked a lot about the topic with my best friend, that a few years later ended up with devastating psychological problems and diagnoses, mostly because of the pressure that biblical incoherent rules put on him, especially in terms of sexuality. Those rules, that are meant to make you a ''good'' person, despite the fact, that statistically, atheists give much more money to charity and that the vast majority of prisoners are Christians (of course compared to how many of them are in population). Perhaps because they know that what you make in this life matters when there is no afterlife and no ''I'm sorry jesus'' won't salvage the consequences, so they tend to be more kind.
Moreover, there are more than 6000 known religions. It makes me not believing in any of them while you are not believing in 5999 of them. Why is Christianity any different despite it is well suited for the government to control the masses so the Roman Empire spread it? Is there any other reason you don't believe in any of those 5999, except that you didn't grow up in a different society and part of the world?
I am not perfect in any way and have many character flaws, but I wouldn't say ignorance is one of them. Have a lovely day too.

Only four questions eh! Should be pretty easy to deal with those because if they really are simple 'yes' or 'no' questions, as Mr Turek claims, then there are only three possible answers... the third one being 'I don't know', which is a perfectly reasonable answer, especially when dealing with issues which are subject to much conflicting speculation and varying hypotheses.
So the first answer is clearly 'yes'. There are some claims which are true and which can be demonstrated to be so by overwhelming empirical evidence and multiple observations and experiments (distilled water boils at 100 degrees C at average sea level air pressure for example). Such scientific and demonstrable 'facts' always have to carry the qualification that they are subject to change and amendment if new information becomes available (which is why all 'Scientific Theories' and the 'facts deduced from them are provisional). Moral or philosophical questions of course are not subject to being proven or disproven by empirical evidence and so they have to be excluded from the scope of this question.
The answer to the second question is obviously 'I don't know', but as we have no good evidence for this claim (none whatsoever) then it is reasonable to conclude that it is extremely unlikely to be true. All that waffle Mr Turek engaged in about his "Uncreated Creator" is just meaningless drivel and unevidenced assertions, and 'what is asserted without evidence can be dismissed without evidence'. Mr Turek asserts (without citing any evidence) that "...space, matter, and time had a beginning out of nothing" and apart from the fact that Mr Turek does not specify his definition of 'nothing', I do not know of a single physicist or cosmologist who would agree that we know this to be an established 'fact'. Mr Turek is just spouting dowright lies here.
The third question is a dog's breakfast as Mr Turek conflates and confuses (deliberately I think) the words 'true' and 'possible'. If it is true that a god created the world and the universe as described in the first chapter of the Christian Bible then of course miracles are ' possible'. But we have no evidence for this at all and all the conclusive scientific evidence (without exception) is consistent with current theories of cosmology and geology - and so they would be, because Scientific Theories are, by definition, the best and most widely accepted explanation that is consistent with the available evidence. The answer to this question is another 'don't know' but we can add that the absence of any good evidence makes it highly improbable.
The answer to the fourth question is an emphatic 'no' because while we cannot know for certain whether unverified and unevidenced claims are true, we can make an assessment of the reliability of what supposed evidence we do have. I don't know if Mr Turek has done any studying or training in the evaluation of historical evidence (I'm afraid that the rubbish they teach in Yankee theological and Bible Colleges doesn't really count), but I have, and I can say without fear of contradiction (on any reasonable grounds) that the New Testament, and the four canonical gospels in particular, are not just very weak and unreliable evidence but they are also mutually incompatible and are contradicted by claims which are supported by much stronger evidence. I cannot say that I know that the gospels are all completely fictitious, just as I cannot say for certain that the character of 'Jesus Christ' (Yeshua ben Ioseph) never existed. What I can say for certain is that we have no good evidence for the supposed words or deeds, let alone the miracles and the resurrection, of this person and that the complete absence of any eye-witness accounts or contemporary records makes a strong case for him being a mythical or euhemerised character. This does not prove beyond any doubt that the New Testament stories are false but it does indicate that we have no good reasons to believe that they are true and accurate.
Mr Turek's final claim to know what did and did not motivate the authors of the gospels (people whose real names, cities or countries of residence, and biographical details are all mysteries to us) and to 'know' that there was an empty tomb in Jerusalem are just more dishonest and mendacious claptrap.
    So the final total is:
1 x YES (with the qualifications mentioned)
    2 x DON'T KNOW
1 x NO (absolutely and emphatically).
Hardly a well argued case, and it fails on the balance of probabilities, let alone on the standard of 'proof beyond reasonable doubt.'

In assessing the argument presented in the video, we delve into a series of philosophical questions regarding truth, the existence of God, miracles, and the reliability of the New Testament, particularly the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Each of these points warrants a closer examination through the lens of rational inquiry and philosophical skepticism.
Firstly, the discussion on the nature of truth is intriguing. While the video correctly identifies the self-defeating nature of the claim “there is no truth,” it simplifies the complex philosophical landscape of truth. Acknowledging the existence of truth does not straightforwardly lead to the validity of specific religious beliefs. The philosophical discourse on truth navigates between the realms of subjective experiences and objective truths, a distinction that is crucial yet not addressed in the argument.
Moving to the existence of God, the argument presented leans on the cosmological argument, suggesting a creator for space, matter, and time. However, this line of reasoning does not necessarily pinpoint the characteristics of the Christian God but rather suggests a general deistic entity. Transitioning from a deistic to a theistic, personal God requires more premises, which are neither universally accepted nor demonstrable within the scope of the argument.
Regarding miracles, the video posits the creation of the universe as a miracle, thereby affirming the possibility of other miracles. This leap in logic is philosophically significant. The origins of the universe, a subject of ongoing scientific inquiry, do not straightforwardly corroborate the concept of miracles as supernatural interventions described in religious texts. Philosophically, miracles, by their very nature, challenge the laws of nature and thus elude empirical verification.
Finally, the argument hinges significantly on the historical reliability of the New Testament and the resurrection of Jesus. This point raises critical issues about the authenticity, authorship, and potential biases of ancient religious texts. The assumption that the resurrection is a historical event that validates Christianity rests on the premise that the New Testament accounts are accurate and unbiased, a stance that requires more rigorous scrutiny in historical and philosophical analysis.
While the argument in the video presents a structured approach to validating Christianity, it does so by relying on assumptions and logical leaps not universally accepted in philosophical discourse. The subjects of truth, the origin of the universe, the nature of miracles, and the historical reliability of religious texts are profound and complex, demanding a more nuanced and critical examination than what is offered in the argument.

Hello. I am an atheist. I define atheism as suspending acknowledgement of the existence of gods until sufficient evidence can be presented. My position is that *_I have no good reason to acknowledge the existence of gods._*
And here is the evidence as to why I currently hold to such a position.
    1. I personally have never observed a god.
    2. I have never encountered a person whom has claimed to have observed a god.
    3. I know of no accounts of persons claiming to have observed a god that were willing or able to demonstrate or verify their observation for authenticity, accuracy, or validity.
    4. I have never been presented a valid logical argument which also employed sound premises that lead deductively to a conclusion that a god(s) exists.
    5. Of the 46 logical syllogisms I have encountered arguing for the existence of a god(s), I have found all to contain multiple fallacious or unsubstantiated premises.
    6. I have never observed a phenomenon in which the existence of a god was a necessary antecedent for the known or probable explanation for the causation of that phenomenon.
    7. Several proposed (and generally accepted) explanations for observable phenomena that were previously based on the agency of a god(s), have subsequently been replaced with rational, natural explanations, each substantiated with evidence that excluded the agency of a god(s). I have never encountered _vice versa._
    8. I have never experienced the presence of a god through intercession of angels, divine revelation, the miraculous act of divinity, or any occurrence of a supernatural event.
    9. Every phenomenon that I have ever observed has *_emerged_* from necessary and sufficient antecedents over time without exception. In other words, I have never observed a phenomenon (entity, process, object, event, process, substance, system, or being) that was created _ex nihilo_ - that is instantaneously came into existence by the solitary volition of a deity.
    10. All claims of a supernatural or divine nature that I have encountered have either been refuted to my satisfaction, or do not present as falsifiable.
ALL of these facts lead me to the only rational conclusion that concurs with the realities I have been presented - and that is the fact that there is *_no good reason_* for me to acknowledge the existence of a god.
I have heard often that atheism is the denial of the Abrahamic god. But denial is the active rejection of a substantiated fact once credible evidence has been presented. Atheism is simply withholding such acknowledgement until sufficient credible evidence is introduced. *_It is natural, rational, and prudent to be skeptical of unsubstatiated claims, especially extraordinary ones._*
I welcome any cordial response. Peace.

As a Muslim who absolutely loves Christian’s here are a couple of question I would like my fellow Christians to consider however keep in mind that as a Muslim we are supposed to believe in Christianity too !! Your belief is that Jesus is the ‘ son of god ‘ but may I ask why is this ? The most important reason people get children is too continue on the family name , but god is forever living ? What ‘family name’ would he like to continue? Also you believe that Jesus was killed , but isn’t Jesus the ‘ son of god’ so god , that can make this universe vanish with a blink of an eye wasn’t able to protect his own SON from a bunch of weak human beings ?
As Muslims we believe that Jesus was a prophet, which makes more sense because he himself said that people shouldn’t worship him to be god. And all the miracles that happened to him is to prove that he is a prophet or else people would call him just a random dude saying nonsense if he didn’t have miracles to prove what he is saying

While I currently identify myself as an evangelical Christian, it does seem that there are certain phenomena that does go against traditional Christian theology, namely Near death experiences (NDEs), past life memories and exorcisms in other religions.
    1) while there are NDEs that conform to traditional Christian theology, it seems majority of them do not. Most NDEs seem to portray the afterlife as relativistic and in some NDEs, it is reported that God manifests Himself in ways that are congruent to the persons beliefs whether be it in the form of Buddha or a Hindu deity for eg. Other doctrines taught in NDE that are common and are unbiblical include religious pluralism (in some NDEs, God apparently said different religions are there to meet different kinds of spiritual needs), reincarnation (not necessarily mutually exclusive with heaven/hell), universalism (not necessarily excluding existence of hell where it is treated as rehabilitative punishment)
The usual Christian response is to claim either that NdEs are hallucinations or satanic deceptions. The first explanation is easy to debunk mainly due to how those who experience NDEs tend to come back with knowledge of events they could not have possibly known. As for the satanic deception explanation, the being of light is often seen to be a satanic disguise. The problem with this argument is that most who encounter this being of light often report feeling unconditional love. It’s quite unthinkable for satan or demons to radiate unconditional love and Jesus himself states that a bad tree cannot bear good fruit in the bible.
    2) past life memories are a phenomenon that is reported in multiple cultures globally where children from 3-7 years old recall events and have memories of a previous life. While this phenomenon is more common in eastern cultures, it is also reported on western cultures, even in children of Christian families. The memories often fade after the age of 7. The recollection also extends beyond the cognitive level to having strong emotional connections to other families and researchers have also found a striking match between the birthmarks and past life fatal wounds. Of cos this phenomenon is suggestive of reincarnation.
A common Christian response to this is again, attributing it to demonic activity whether be it the child being possessed by evil spirits or that their minds were implanted with false memories. The issue I have with this argument would be it will involve admitting that God allows demonic activity in small children and that he allows a powerful deception to deceive not only the child itself, but also the family members, sometimes even Christian ones.
    3) Lastly, the bible seems to hold exclusive rights to exorcisms for Christians. Cross reference to how Jesus mentions that exorcisms work via the power of God and that it will not be possible for demons to drive them out since satan won’t sabotage his kingdom. However, exorcisms have been noted in non Christian religions as well.
The strongest Christian argument I have read with regards to responding to this would be to argue that the demons are playing a game of “good cop bad cop” where the demon will leave the subject to give the impression that non Christian exorcisms are effective to deceive the observers. However, a possible loophole to this argument is how the bible seems to suggest that demons desire embodiment and they are uncomfortable not having a physical body. (they wanted to go into pigs after being driven out and Jesus parable about wandering evil spirits after being cast out is telling) I would think that while it is true demons are serving the kingdom of darkness, they would still be primarily self centered beings and it seems unlikely they would sacrifice their well being to further satans agenda.
