To all those who ask how Frank had a slide about Mithras ready, consider this: Frank mentioned the name Mithras at 0:19 while off-camera, and we don’t see Frank until 0:43 again. So that’s almost half a minute for him to open the slide and display it while the camera is on the questioner. Frank’s job is an apologist, which means they’ve basically heard all questions before and thus have these sorts of things ready to go, especially on a laptop where pre-built answer slides can be loaded and shown in an instant. Nothing unusual about what Frank did.

From the perspective of my YT experience, including reading your comment, I'll call the presentation-as-a-whole, "unusual". What I see has been edited. It's pretty easy for an apologist to be prepared to answer atheist objections. As a former atheist, I have used a lot of their punch-lines and arguments myself. Most people who identify as atheist are not consistently skeptical when it comes to epistemology. They are easily indoctrinated into a pseudo-naturalistic worldview that deliberately strawman's other worldviews, hence the predictable repetition of "their" arguments.

Man knows he is imperfect and so to make up for that man made religion is all about us gaining atonement from god or the gods. Man made religion is all about what we can do to make up for our sin. The true God flips the script. It’s not what we can do for him it what he has done for us. He didn’t have to but he took on mortal flesh and died for us. Jesus paid the sacrifice he did not deserve but took it willingly for our sakes. We know what he said is true because he rose from the dead. Only God could have done that, no mere man could have conquered the grave. The apostles then went out across the World proclaiming the witness Christ rise from the dead. They fished no riches, or power from this story only pain, poverty and suffering. In the end all but John died horrible deaths. They were crucified, beaten, flogged, stoned, poisoned, and boiled alive and yet not one recounted their story. Not one said “Wait! It was all a lie! I’m sorry, please don’t kill me!” No. They all accepted their faiths and confined to praise God until they very end. Why would they do this? Why would they die terrible deaths and endure pain and suffering for so many years for a lie. The answer is because they witnessed Jesus rise from the grave. They witnessed the power of God and were compelled to worship and endure any pain and suffering for the true God of all creation! Their sacrifices are a testament to their story and a testament to Christ’s authenticity as savior of the World, the Messiah, the Son of God! Now there is nothing separating is from the almighty. Our sin is great but his love, grace and forgiveness are far greater! All you must do is accept him into your heart, accept him as your Lord and savior and his gift of forgiveness. There’s no sin too great that it won’t be forgiven in an instant. We know this for God himself proclaims it! He will forgive you and change you, heal you, give you a new heart, a new direction, a new purpose, a new peace, a new lease on life. Christ is waiting and he will never stop seeking you. He loves you like his own child. He is the good Sheppard and his father is the Good Father. Forgiveness and ever lasting joy are at hand! This is the good news which we and the apostles before us are tasked to spread across the world to all people! Amen “Come to me all who are weary and burdened and I will give you rest. Take up my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” -Jesus Mathew 11:28-30

@Leon thecat He died for what already happened that extends into the future. @@SpectreStatus "Erm, actually Jesus is real. Multiple accounts testify to his existence as a true historical person. You got Josephus, Tacitus, the Talmud, Lucian, and a few others. Not to mention the Biblical epistles and the early church fathers..." Can you name just ONE other character from history that was as "important" that not a single one of their contemporaries wrote about? Because NONE of the people you mentioned knew "Jesus" or lived during the time he supposedly did. ALL that was written about him was YEARS later and all by hearsay. "Jesus" was most likely an urban legend and a compilation of many extremely embellished stories. There most likely was a man named "Yeshua Ben Yosef" that lived at the time, but he was no "Christ".
@@atheistangel007 By that logic you can't believe much of what any of the historians wrote. Many manuscripts date hundreds of years after the supposed penning of the original. Caesar's Gallic Wars is one such that comes to mind that dates almost a thousand years prior to its first known manuscript. And if you can't trust Tacitus when it comes to the figure of Jesus (or Josephus), then why trust anything they say regarding Roman historicity or any other historian for that matter? Why trust any written account? The simple fact of the matter is these historians wrote not just of the birthing sect of Christianity, but also made mention of the originator. We have a written account in the gospels as well as outside corroboration to support. We can reasonably conclude that, based on the written evidence, a man named Jesus (Christ) really existed and sparked a revolution of thought and religion. Now, whether you believe the miracles written in the gospel accounts were real or not is another matter entirely. I would submit to you that without some form of supernatural power at work, no apostle (or new convert for that matter) would willingly walk into the lion's mouth for what they know is a complete fabrication. A man will die for what he believes in, but a man will not die for a lie when he has nothing to gain and everything to lose.
I am a self-taught mythology expert and a self taught religion expert. I have dismantled ideas from degree-holding professionals concerning these topics and have even inspired new out-looks for a few of them. And I must say; whatever points of similarity various myths and religions have are cursory at best and a heaping pile of ignorant garbage at worst. My favorite one to dismantle is Horus/Jesus. So here we go.... 1) Jesus is the Son of the Supreme Power, Horus is the great-grandson of the supreme power. 2) Jesus is the only begotten... Horus has a brother 3) Jesus is 'firstborn'... Horus is second born 4) Isis is the goddess of magic and craft and as any Wiccan will tell you: you cannot be a witch/wiccan/mage and remain a virgin your whole life that is a refusal to practise magic. Not to mention she was married to Osiris for centuries before Hrlorus was conceived. There is no way in any reality anyone should be convinced that the God-Pharaoh of Egypt wasn't getting any from his own wife. 5) Jesus never ripped off Mary's head 6) Mary never sympathized with Satan to anger her son into ripping off her head 7) Anubis is Horus' older half brother not his cousin 8) Anubis was raised in the wilderness but not by Mary 9) Anubis did preach of Horus' coming but had not only met Horus beforehand he also helped raise him 10) Anubis was never arrested and beheaded for preaching against Set 11) Anubis never baptised anyone including Horus. He saved Horus from a poisonous sting from Serqet by using magic he learned from Sobek the nile god 12) Satan has never sat on Jesus' throne 13) God and Satan are not brothers 14) Horus had thousands of followers while he walked the earth. At his max Jesus had 70 followers when he walked the earth 15) Horus went to war with Set. Jesus never started any wars... even against Satan 16) Horus was never crucified or executed in any capacity... just before Set deals the killing blow in their 1 on 1 the Ogodad pauses the war and pulls both Horus and Set to Het Djew to be put on trial. 17) Jesus never got a kingdom on earth... Horus becomes Pharaoh by the end of his story. 18) Jesus' animal is the lamb. Horus' animal is the falcon. 19) John the Baptist's animal is the camel. Anubis' animal is the jackal 20) God's animals are the ox, lion, Eagle, and human. Osiris' animal is the leopard. 21) Satan's animals are the snake and dragon. Set's animal is.... unknown but definately not a reptile. 22) Satan's "consort" Lilith is not the mother of John the Baptist. Set's consort Nephthys is the bio mom of Anubis 23) Horus' mission was completely political. Jesus's mission was purely spiritual. 24) when Horus died it was of old age and he went to Het Djew to join the Enead. Jesus was murdered was dead and in the underworld for three days then rose again. Stayed on earth for 40 more days then ascended into Heaven to sit at God's right hand... sharing no title with any other immortal. I could go on and on... but you get the idea. Share! Especially with the ignoramuses who believe themselves to be intelligent.
The stories are not going to be exactly the same. That's not the point. The explanation of the meaning of life in all its supernaturality wouldn't ordinary lean on human belief and mythology from before the inception of a true standard. Or the men of antiquity had no GOD.
@@kaymsov these details create implications that are contradictory. Do you know why no one compares Horus to Dionysus? Because the cursory details demonstrate that they are both original ideas, a few similarities notwithstanding. Yet despite the notion that Horus and Dionysus are clearly different archetypes depicting differing norms and morres and different hinges in their respective cosmic dramas both of them are used to try and demonstrate that Jesus was hocked from one, both, or more of them. If Horus and Dionysus are dissimilar enough to eachother then why are both of them used in attempts to downplay the uniqueness of Jesus? Let me explain it this way: Okeanos rom Greek mythology, Kek from Egyptian mythology, and Jormungandr from Norse mythology all serve the same function in each of their respective cosmologies; maintain the boarder between Chaos (the vast expanse of nothingness/darkness/void) and order (creation/the earth). Now despite serving the same function per their respective myths, no one in their right mind would say that the Greeks, Norse, and Egyptians were all trying to say the same thing. There is an implicating reason as to why the Greeks chose a Titan to marl the boarder between chaos and order and that reason does not match why the Egyptians used a singing frog for the same function and neither of those reasons match the reason why the Norse used a massive snake to hold the boarder between Chaos and Order. So again, despite Jesus and Horus serving similar functions in their respective cosmologists their differences and why those differences are there clearly demonstrate that Jesus is not a hock of Horus.

There are logic fallacies in his presentation. His confidence is meaningless. 1.the novel and the titanic is a well known coincidence. The Bible, both old and new testament, is infested with "stolen" myths/stories. In fact, I'm not aware of any of the Bible that is not linked to earlier religions and most very strongly.
For sure. But it is frustrating when many fellow Christians say we don't need evidence, we have faith and feelings. Not true at all. Evidence is surely needed to believe indeed.
I'm an atheist and I do see many similarities between Jesus and other gods or heroes. But that's because I have studied comparative mythology, not because of the film Zeitgeist, which is mixed with both true AND false information. I disagree about the comparison to Horus, for example. Jesus is more similar to Osiris, not Horus. There are better examples one could give when comparing other dying-rising gods to Jesus than Horus, such as Dumuzi of Sumer, Baal Hadad of Ugarit, Adonis of Phoenicia, Dionysus of Greece, Attis of Phrygia, Jarilo of Slavic mythology, and to a lesser extent, Telipinu of Hittite-Hurrian mythology. These gods are vegetation gods who are metaphors for the plants and crops during the annual changing seasons, meaning that they are born in the spring, die in the fall or winter, and then are reborn/resurrected the next spring and the cycle is repeated. I don't know if Jesus was "copied" from these other dying-rising vegetation gods, but they all draw from the same natural cycle of the birth, death and rebirth of plants and crops. Jesus' birth/origin story also shares some parallels with other gods and heroes, drawing on themes/motifs of evil kings, prophecy, and murder. Examples of this include Zeus of Greek mythology, Perseus of Greek mythology, Romulus of Roman mythology, Sigurd of Norse (i.e. Germanic) mythology, Lugh of Irish (i.e. Celtic mythology), Taliesen of Welsh (i.e. Celtic) Arthurian mythology, Zoroaster of Zoroastrian (i.e. Persian) mythology, Krishna of Hindu mythology, Gesar Khan of Tibetan and Mongol mythology, and lastly, Mwindo of Nyanga mythology (i.e. the Democratic Republic of the Congo in Central Africa). I also don't understand why some of the Christians in the comments say silly things like "those other gods are from the Devil". Um, many religions have their own versions of a trickster god or spirit or "devil": Hermes in Greek mythology, Loki in Norse mythology, Enki in Sumerian mythology, Set in Egyptian mythology, Coyote in Native American mythology, etc. A Christian saying “the Devil did it” is just as silly as a person from another religion saying “Coyote did it” or “Loki did it”, etc. Think please before saying such illogical nonsense.

You said, "I also don't understand why some of the Christians in the comments say silly things like "those other gods are from the Devil...A Christian saying “the Devil did it” is just as silly as a person from another religion saying “Coyote did it” or “Loki did it”, etc." This is not too difficult to understand. They believe the Bible. Logically, if the Bible were true (and it is), then these other "gods" are false gods, and, according to the Bible, would stem from Satan. Likewise, if any one of the other mythologies were true, their "trickster", as you call him, would be true and all others false. I guess what you are really saying is you don't understand why Christians assign truth to the Bible while you categorize it as myth. You only said it in a weird way.

Michael Fritsche the Chinese government won’t report it. You say you’re happy to see it go as if you’ve found an ideology that makes more sense. I assume you currently subscribe to atheism, an ideology that has no objective moral standard. By what standard can an atheist judge Christianity as being wrong? You refer to Christianity as mythology? Respectfully, atheism has more in common with mythology than Christianity. Atheists believe in magic: everything from nothing, life from non life, the immaterial (thoughts and emotions) from pure material, order from chaos. Where does this magic come from?

Secular ppl will be like well maybe there really was a flood, but just not Noah's flood...ppl don't stop to think how after the flood as ppl began to multiply everyone heard the story about the flood straight from Noah and his immediate family and so everyone at the tower of babel incident knew the story too and then as everybody scattered they take with them those same stories but the details get changed and mythologies form the farther they get away from Noah .. it's not that they copied from the Bible it's just they have the same source for their oral stories... But ppl will claim that the Bible copied it's stories from those other religions and they will use Gilgamesh for example.... It doesn't matter that the Bible was written later. It's retelling what really happened without the corruption of mythology... And even though the Bible was written afterward it doesn't matter cause the history it talks about can be verified exactly as it says proving it's truly inspired...for example Moses, who lived in egypt wrote Genesis and the measurement of the ark found by Ron Wyatt are in Egyptian cubits not Hebrew cubits.. Moses didn't have to be there to know how big it was he just had to have the inspiration of the HOLY SPIRIT. And there's several examples like this... Also many don't know that the flood story in Gilgamesh was added later and is in a different writing style as the rest, plus it says a couple details that aren't in Genesis but in Enoch, proving the antiquity of Enoch which is an inspired lost book.
I've been checking out Frank's videos for a while and his delivery on how he answers so many difficult questions and his knowledge of not only Christianity, but other religions is very inspiring and impressive. I am not sure what other words to use, but it's pretty awesome that he can answer so many people's difficult questions with such knowledge and grace regardless if the person asking the question is combative or aggressive. Of course, this is a topic that no human being will ever have all the answers for, I know I am seeking them myself, but from Frank's videos, it is nice that so many of us can gain this knowledge from people like Frank and I'm sure many others that are dedicating their whole lives to speak truth and their knowledge to others. In my opinion, I feel he is a very reliable source for a lot of people like myself that are open to these topics and that are searching for their own faith, path, or purpose life. Anyways, in a nutshell, this, in my opinion, is a great channel and I'm grateful that I came across it :)

No one that died came back to tell us there’s an hell or any horrible place. If anything many that have gone through coma or flatlined for a while came back and told us there was light, a sense of relief, even happiness. Im sending you a good long comforting hug, that embraces you with hope and warmth. I know life can be really really tough at times, but don’t be scared to die. Let's not forget that the Old Testament has so many prophecies about the promised Messiah and Jesus fulfilled them. The Old Testament was written over the span of a few millennia BC.
I doubt many would claim that the similarities between the Jesus myth and older myths _alone_ disprove the Jesus myth, but they are _yet more of many_ reasons to doubt its credibility.
Read Genisis and it clears up where similar religious figures come from. After the curse of Ham (Noah's son) Ham begot children, one of Ham's children was Nimrod, the great hunter. Nimrod had a son named Tammuz and married a woman named Semiramus. Semiramus is why we celebrate easter with colorful eggs, she is also Ishtar, Dianna and the cathoic Mother Mary. Tammuz is Catholic baby Jesus and he is the reason we practice lent, Tammuz was 40 yrs old when a wild boar killed him and Babylonian/Jewish women would cry in the temple of the Lord in mourning the death of Tammuz. Tammuz also carried a pinecone staff that the Vatican still uses today. Nimrod is "the false father" who led the world to believe they could be like God so God banished these people to seperate to different parts of the world and He also broke apart their language...
Genesis does not clear that up. Semiramis is nowhere mentioned in Genesis. She's a character from Greek mythology based on a 9th century BC Assyrian queen. Her connection with Nimrod was a conspiracy theory dreamed up by the 19th century Protestant minister Alexander Hislop.

The real tragedy that we can all know as a fact is that on account of false theology led to the Holocaust, any HONEST seeker of Christianity's origins must consider that the Flavians produced the Gospels.
@@michaeljacobs5342 Christianity was spread hundreds of years before the Romans adopted Christianity as their own and called it "Catholicism", they killed Christians in the thousands by the hands of Nero whos works testify too, who died around 68AD, so we can understand the teachings of Christ were in Rome long before it became established as a religion in Rome at the First Council of Nicaea in 325AD. Meaning the theories of Joseph Atwills and the Flavians producing the gospels are completely false.
@@JesusSavesSouls As a matter of fact nobody knows who wrote the Gospels, only that they we were no written as a record of historic accuracy, but as an invented theology cobbled together from various sources of pagan myths, in this respect there is nothing new. In addition, to the deliberate falsifications, mistranslations to make it appear that Christianity was fulfilling Old Testament prophecies and texts, is nothing other than a theological fraud, an actual crime that dehumanises the Jewish people.
@@michaeljacobs5342 The gospels and the books of the New Testament are taken from first hand accounts of Christ, whether they wrote them or not is irrelevant to it being true. Christianity differs from pagan myths in a number of ways, firstly the bible teaches against ANY pagan teachings, so already that statement contradicts itself. Secondly salvation is completely unique in a Christian setting, it’s not based on works but grace through faith which is unique from any belief system. Thirdly it’s God (Jesus Christ) coming down to man, not man trying to get to God, which every pagan philosophy teaches, and the list goes on. Your statement on the prophetic nature of the Bible cannot be true, because many prophecies have been fulfilled and are being fulfilled after the scriptures were written. The book of revelation is actually the events of the end of the world are still going to/are taken place currently even though the book was written 2000 years ago. If Jesus Christ was a myth and was made to fulfil the prophecies of the OT, then historians and non Jewish/Christian secular individuals would not have written about him at the time. These verify his existence.
I think a better answer would have been that the prophecies about the messiah/ Jesus... are older than his actual coming, so it was public knowledge that 1 day this person would be born of a virgin, die & resurrect etc.... in satans attempt 2 discredit that, myths were made up in different cultures copying the same type of prophecies, like in Egypt... the problem is those gods are all myths with no proof, Jesus is historically real and fufilled many old testament prophecies.. eyewitnesses, followers, opposition... all proofs of Jesus and what he did in his lifetine, all glory to God 🙌🏽🙌🏽
This is the 3rd video from Cross Examined that pops on my feed. How convenient, every time, Frank has a slide ready to answer a question. As for the story of Jesus not being original, it isn't, and you don't need the internet to find out. You can go to a library and read other ancient texts.
Like what? What ancient texts. Ancient texts with eye witnesses accounts and reports outside of said ancient texts. All of this obsession with physical evidence is such a massive distraction from the spiritual evidence one gets from God. You hear it time and time and time again from testimonies. "I used to be an atheist but God woke me up." "I felt Gods presence when I was at my lowest." Ect, ect. If someone opens up their heart when reading the Bible it's all there. Everything you need to know. If you need physical evidence to believe in God then you likely will never truly believe in him anyways. "Man cannot live on bread alone, BUT THE WORD OF GOD." Meaning the physical world is not everything, God's word goes beyond.
Frank, I was an atheist for eight years until I took a psychology class in college (which is ironic since most people stop believing in a god as a result of college). As an atheist, my main vehicle was skepticism which meant that I didn't accept claims at face value. Instead, I researched them from contradictory sources. So, if someone made a claim about abortion, I went on both pro-choice and pro-life websites to come to a conclusion. I applied this not only to religious claims (e.g., "God exists," "Christianity is true," "the Bible is historically factual," etc.), but to anti-religious claims as well (e.g., "Jesus never existed," "the Bible is corrupted," "Christianity borrowed from other religions," etc.). So, when people came to me claiming that Jesus was an amalgamation of previous gods (i.e., Zeitgeist film), I had to investigate. Much to my surprise, many of those claims were false. So, whenever anyone approached me with Zeitgeist-like claims, I immediately corrected them and showed them where they could find reliable information. That being said, I feel your logic is a little bit off with your Futility-Titanic analogy. The Futility, while certainly an amazing coincidence, is just that: a coincidence, a statistical anomaly, an incredibly rare event, an exception to the rule. Today, we would be unjustified in claiming that the Titanic story is false because it "borrowed" from the Futility because we know the events happened fourteen years after the book was published. But, if civilization crumbles tomorrow and all of our physical and digital media are destroyed, archaeologists 2000 years from now would be justified in assuming the Titanic is false. Similarly, if Religion X comes before Religion Y and both share many notable and significant similarities, I think we are justified, if not obliged, to assume that Religion Y borrowed from Religion X until further evidence comes along. The fact that one specific coincidence in history violates this rule does not mean we should throw the rule out altogether. Some people are born with six fingers, are we going to stop teaching kids that people have five fingers? No. Some people are born transgender, are we going to say that there are more than two genders? Of course not! Because, six-fingered and transgender people account for such a small fraction of the population that their occurrence is virtually negligible (this is a statistical fact, so it's not hate speech). So, to assume that Christianity borrowed from previous religions because it shares many significant and notable similarities is not unjustified. Nor is it committing the Post hoc ergo propter hoc fallacy because it not only came after the other religions, but it also shares similarities that are astronomically improbable to replicate without contact or borrowing. Granted, I know that Mithras came after Jesus and shares no similarities with him, but in the event that a religion does predate Christianity and shares statistically significant similarities, we should assume Christianity borrowed from it.
Usually when u go to college or see how everything works in the human body or how the world works and all the order and design u can't deny a intelligent creator it's mind blowing and to anyone who's say the world and everything in it can just come to be on irs on is laughable
@@Sugarshane88 yeah, no evolutionary biologist in the history of humanity has ever said “it just came to be.” So I don’t know what you’re talking about but that’s not evolution. That’s probably just a straw man fallacy you read on some creationist websites but I recommend you reading the other side of the issue. Lastly, even if that were all true it’s got nothing to do with my comment.
Why does Christianity have to borrow ideas from earlier religions because of their similarities? When you compare the two religions, would it be better to compare the whole story of the main characters rather than just point out a few similarities that made up a small percent of the whole and then claim those two copied each other? And one big thing that many forgot to mention was that Jesus Christ actually walked the earth, which others don't.
I understand what you are saying, but can you explain the over 2000 prophecy that has actually happened in history which is found in the Bible. No other book in the history of the world has ever made prophecy come true. God is real, He exists!
Yep. Dont believe anything you read and even hear. I have a friend witnessed a crime. He told me the news on the TV twisted what really happened. How funny.
# Transparancy: if something is true, even if you put it through the test/scan, it'll remain truth in the end. Other religions are afraid of testing and scans... says enough.
Everyone asking about how he had a slide ready, I've never debated or anything, but I had a discussion with an Atheist two days ago. And he asked all the same questions that I've seen in watching countless of these videos. So I could easily see how this guy can so readily be prepared. He has been doing this for years. I did it once. Gotta start somewhere
Christians often fall flat on arguing their points and can’t go any further and use gas lighting and discrediting view points thinking they’ve won an argument because they think they were right and only they can be right, yet no Christian gives the same definition as to what God is. I hardly call those stuff wins, just ignorance
Multiple deities predate Jesus, that were born on December 25th to virgin mothers. The whole story of Jesus was copied from pagan religions that came before.
This very topic came up in a New Testament class I was taking at a community college - using a textbook by a supposed Christian author by the name.of Marla J. Selvedge [if I remember correctly]. The class was informed by the instructor that we were to do an "academic study" of the New Testament, as opposed to a "faith-based study". When we reached a point in the class manual where ALL these people/god myths were spoken of, one having been associated with being called a good shepherd, & was associated with a shepherds crook, one being associated with having a god as a Father & a mortal mother, one associated with a virgin birth, & one who taught & healed, & died for his people, along with an account of a resurrection after his death - LONG BEFORE THE MAN NAMED JESUS OF NAZARETH WAS BORN. The conclusion that this "Christian author" & expert in theology came to was that Jesus Christ, called the Good Shepherd, only Begotten of the Father of heaven & earth, & born of a mortal woman (a virgin), who died, & then was resurrected, according to "tradition" was MERELY A CONSTRUCT of all these prior myths; that these ancient character traits & life events were merely TACKED-ON to this factual historical figure, Jesus of Nazareth. When I was bluntly told these things I was momentarily CONFUSED(!) EXPERTS, THEOLOGIANS, MY INSTRUCTOR (& not to mention my classmates) were to ACTUALLY to believe these things??? I PRAYED to figure it out, then raised my hand to speak. I said I know we are having an academic study, however, according to the Holy Bible, Adam & Eve walked with God in the Garden of Eden. God spoke with them even after they were kicked out. I mean, God even provided clothing for them! There is a narrative of what He said. But WHAT IF during their conversations, they were told of JESUS CHRIST, the Savior of the world who would come forth in the meridian of time, to save them & their posterity from sin & death, that He would be the Good Shepherd, that He would be born of a mortal woman, a virgin, & the most High God, that he would die for them, BUT, have the power to take up his life again due to his HOLY Parentage. And WHAT IF they were SO happy to hear this GOOD NEWS(!) they taught this to their children (& away we go!)...these ancient stories DO NOT RUIN the story of THE one & only Savior, Jesus Christ, but SOLIDIFY THE FACT, that even ADAM & EVE knew of the Christ to come...Directly from the mouth of GOD HIMSELF....the instructor was speechless a minute, then said, "I THOUGHT I THOUGHT OF EVERY ANGLE OF THIS, BUT NEVER DID I THINK OF THAT! "...I (sharon bosley) KNOW THAT JESUS IS THE CHRIST! HE IS WHO HE SAYS HE IS! GOD IS HIS FATHER! IT IS TRUE! thank you, young man, for asking the question....GOD IS GOOD 😊
And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your seed and her Seed; He shall bruise your head, and you shall bruise His heel (Genesis 3:15).
This was so good I had to take screenshots to keep this comment. I too heard about the similar stories of Jesus that came out of ancient Egypt. And they did make me nervous. I have had the same question the man in the video ask Frank. But your comment makes so much sense. Thank you. Nobody knows exactly how things happened. And some things can confuse us and make us question. Nobody knows all the answers. But that is why we have faith and trust in God! Thank you!
The Most High does nothing without revealing it to his prophets, and I would think as something as important as Jesus Christ saving us from our sins, he would have mentioned Jesus once. Besides, no man can save another man from his sin. And if you say Jesus is God, how in the Heavens does he sit on the right hand of God, if he is God. How do you sit on the right hand of yourself. I need more clarification

Wow. I amazed on how quick he pulled up that info on that god...the "correct" info from the online world at that. But wish he'd have went into the December 25th birth of Jesus lie that was taken from paganism in Rome. The fact remains that Christianity did "borrow" falsehoods in order to make itself more appealing to the people of a certain time. Those need to be exposed as well. I think something significant was missed with this opportunity. But he did make a fair point.
The significance of the date December 25th go back way before paganism in Rome. It originated from the ancient Egyptian deity stories. But the Bible never mentions the date Dec 25th as Jesus birthday
the 25th century was already used from at least the 114 AD, because it's 9 months after 25th March, which is the date Jesus died, because there is a old jewish believe that a prophet or a men of God would die in the same day he was conceived, so they believed Jesus was conceived on 25th March and so 9 months later he was born 25th december. The only known God to have its day celebrated in the 25th century, was the Invictus Sol (Uncoquered Sun in latin) and he was a minor God dated from the end of the second century, so after the first historical evidence of Christians saying that Jesus was born on 25th december. And there was no National holiday the 25th december, if the Catholic Church wanted to absorbe a Pagan holiday they would have used Saturnalia 17th december, which was the greatest holiyday in the Roman Empire, not 25th december.
Dude just said it's not your job to refute what someone states, that it's their job to provide evidence, instantly just states that mithras was after Christ without any evidence 😂 Mithra was first mentioned in vehicle texts from 1500bc
A few facts: Remember, the Bible is not just one book; it is a collection of 66 books, written by more than 40 different authors over a period of 1,600 years. The amazing consistency of its message to mankind points to the reality that it is not just a book that man wrote about God, but one that God has inspired and given to mankind as a great gift of light in the darkness. Let’s start with the most logical piece of historical evidence: 2,000 years ago a man named Jesus actually lived. Even popular Bible critic Bart Erhman concedes that Jesus indeed lived. Ten of the 12 original followers of Christ would die the death of a martyr (not taking others lives, but being put to a painful, gruesome death for their faith) because they testified that Jesus had been raised from the dead.... why would any sane person allow this to happen to themselves unless what they witnessed was real & true? The discovery of the Dead Sea Scrolls showed that the content of the Bible had been transmitted faithfully throughout the centuries. just sayin .......
Seems like he got upset over that mans question, he said to ask 3 questions then shows a slide and tells me what he’s showing is the truth and everything else saying different is wrong. Why shouldn’t I ask the same 3 questions to what he presented?
He’s so fluent, no one seems to realize he dodged the heart of the question. Sure, similarities among religions and mythical stories doesn’t NECESSARILY imply one or all were copied and thus, works of fiction, but it should certainly make any rational person seriously consider the possibility. Mithras aside, when fundamentally contradictory traditions have uncannily similar fantastical stories based on no credible evidence (e.g. Jesus and Osiris), the most logical conclusion is that they are both simply, stories, myths, meaningful works of fiction. And that’s ok; Christianity and the others can still be very special and meaningful even if it’s fundamental claims aren’t genuinely true.
What do people need to smoke to actually see similarities between Osiris( was killed by someone and was put together by his wife and she made a baby with his half dead penis😂) and Jesus? Are you high?

It's pretty easy for an apologist to be prepared to answer atheist objections. As a former atheist, I have used a lot of their punch-lines and arguments myself. Most people who identify as atheist are not consistently skeptical when it comes to epistemology. Hello your reply
Where are his citations in the slides?
Amen
“Come to me all who are weary and burdened and I will give you rest. Take up my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” -Jesus

If you really study in detail all of these foolish arguments can be put to rest. Vague similarities at best and there has never been any story in mythology where the Son of God became human to die for the sins of the world and rise again. Nice try though.
@Leon thecat Because of the Extra-Temporal Nature of God, and the fact that Jesus Christ took all the possible death punishment upon himself.
@Leon thecat He died for what already happened that extends into the future. By one man sin entered into the world, all men & women come from adam & eve, so through Jesus, one man that fulfilled the necessary conditions, people past present & future can be forgiven since that payment covers all mankind.

@@SpectreStatus "Erm, actually Jesus is real. Multiple accounts testify to his existence as a true historical person. You got Josephus, Tacitus, the Talmud, Lucian, and a few others. Not to mention the Biblical epistles and the early church fathers..."
Can you name just ONE other character from history that was as "important" that not a single one of their contemporaries wrote about?
Horus has a brother
3) Jesus is 'firstborn'... Horus is second born
4) Isis is the goddess of magic and craft and as any Wiccan will tell you: you cannot be a witch/wiccan/mage and remain a virgin your whole life that is a refusal to practise magic. Not to mention she was married to Osiris for centuries before Hrlorus was conceived. There is no way in any reality anyone should be convinced that the God-Pharaoh of Egypt wasn't getting any from his own wife.
5) Jesus never ripped off Mary's head
6) Mary never sympathized with Satan to anger her son into ripping off her head
7) Anubis is Horus' older half brother not his cousin
8) Anubis was raised in the wilderness but not by Mary
9) Anubis did preach of Horus' coming but had not only met Horus beforehand he also helped raise him
10) Anubis was never arrested and beheaded for preaching against Set
11) Anubis never baptised anyone including Horus. He saved Horus from a poisonous sting from Serqet by using magic he learned from Sobek the nile god
12) Satan has never sat on Jesus' throne
13) God and Satan are not brothers
14) Horus had thousands of followers while he walked the earth. At his max Jesus had 70 followers when he walked the earth
15) Horus went to war with Set. Jesus never started any wars... even against Satan
16) Horus was never crucified or executed in any capacity... just before Set deals the killing blow in their 1 on 1 the Ogodad pauses the war and pulls both Horus and Set to Het Djew to be put on trial.
17) Jesus never got a kingdom on earth... Horus becomes Pharaoh by the end of his story.
18) Jesus' animal is the lamb. Horus' animal is the falcon.
19) John the Baptist's animal is the camel. Anubis' animal is the jackal
20) God's animals are the ox, lion, Eagle, and human. Osiris' animal is the leopard.
21) Satan's animals are the snake and dragon. Set's animal is.... unknown but definately not a reptile.
22) Satan's "consort" Lilith is not the mother of John the Baptist. Set's consort Nephthys is the bio mom of Anubis
23) Horus' mission was completely political.
Let me explain it this way:
Okeanos rom Greek mythology, Kek from Egyptian mythology, and Jormungandr from Norse mythology all serve the same function in each of their respective cosmologies; maintain the boarder between Chaos (the vast expanse of nothingness/darkness/void) and order (creation/the earth).

Yep. And people in this comment section buy into this indoctrination
What evidence do you have....? This is a great question. It applies to Christianity as much as it applies to any other religion.
Attis was the one the GALLIcian ch worshipped in Constantinople and Pontus Galations.
Jesus.....containing many attributes of these other gods....was needed to replace and hide attis. ....Vatican and latin @ DIES SANGUINIS...and @CASTRATO (eunech choirboys)....proves they do this Literally.....Matthew 19;12...jesus> and some become Eunechs for heaven......
You said, "I also don't understand why some of the Christians in the comments say silly things like "those other gods are from the Devil...A Christian saying “the Devil did it” is just as silly as a person from another religion saying “Coyote did it” or “Loki did it”, etc."
This is not too difficult to understand. They believe the Bible. Logically, if the Bible were true (and it is), then these other "gods" are false gods, and, according to the Bible, would stem from Satan.
Likewise, if any one of the other mythologies were true, their "trickster", as you call him, would be true and all others false.

Colonial Rebel shes also known as the godess of heaven Inanna
Genesis does not clear that up. Semiramis is nowhere mentioned in Genesis. She's a character from Greek mythology based on a 9th century BC Assyrian queen. Her connection with Nimrod was a conspiracy theory dreamed up by the 19th century Protestant minister Alexander Hislop.

Explain how the Bible was formed. Where did it come from without opening the book

Christians often fall flat on arguing their points and can’t go any further and use gas lighting and discrediting view points thinking they’ve won an argument because they think they were right and only they can be right, yet no Christian gives the same definition as to what God is.

@@m.c.martin your point ?

Dude just said it's not your job to refute what someone states, that it's their job to provide evidence, instantly just states that mithras was after Christ without any evidence 😂
Mithra was first mentioned in vehicle texts from 1500bc
A few facts:
Remember, the Bible is not just one book; it is a collection of 66 books, written by more than 40 different authors over a period of 1,600 years.
