I found Christ today, all day I’ve been crying in repentance and joy. I’ve never felt love this deep, caring, wise, warm, knowing he loves me and my life is meant for the better through him.
I regret ever rejecting him, the day I asked for help with sincerity in my heart he answered in the way that left me no doubt. I turned my back on god letting arrogance, sin, and temptation rule over me. Despite my indifference, me leaving him.
    My lord never left me
He advised me, guided me, protected me, and loved me the entire way back to him. It’s only now I realize how blind, dismissive, disrespectful, and ignorant I was towards him my entire life. Yet he was right there by my side.
    I LOVE YOU LORD!
Thank you for the video; praise Jesus our savior. Amen!

To me, when I was a kid and a young adult, I always thought that Christianity is so boring and restrictive compared to other religions.i was attracted to my mother's religion the most which is Hinduism. I also became interested in new age and Buddhism later and the religion of my school friends which was Islam. I even was curious about witchcraft and law of attraction - what's the difference between all of those? To me, I found that, my boring Christianity was my safe place. My boring Shephard was where I would run to for safety when I got scared when I was sad or I hurt myself. About ten years ago I then realized that Christ was the only one. I went back to church but kept the new age things I liked, as tarot and manifestation. My Church seemed to somewhat ride that wave too. But Glory to Jesus! About three years ago, I guess my Shephard had enough since I was basically so depressed and hopeless I wanted to die. He asked me to come and truly know him. I said yes. I have never been better inside and never been more in love.❤️❤️❤️ His kindness is sometimes overwhelming and he is so reall - that is the difference.

John 5:25-27-“Verily, verily, I say unto you, The hour is coming, and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God: and they that hear shall live. For as the Father hath life in Himself; so hath He given to the Son to have life in Himself; And hath given Him authority to execute judgment also, because He is the Son of man.”
      John 12:34
So the crowd answered him, “We have heard from the Law that the Christ remains forever. How can you say that the Son of Man must be lifted up? Who is this Son of Man?”
      John 6:53
So Jesus said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you.
      John 6:27
Do not work for the food that perishes, but for the food that endures to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give to you. For on him God the Father has set his seal.”
      John 3:16-17
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.
      John 3:13
No one has ascended into heaven except he who descended from heaven, the Son of Man.
      Luke 22:22
For the Son of Man goes as it has been determined, but woe to that man by whom he is betrayed!”
      Mark 14:21
For the Son of Man goes as it is written of him, but woe to that man by whom the Son of Man is betrayed! It would have been better for that man if he had not been born.”
      Mark 10:45
For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”
      Matthew 24:
Therefore you also must be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect.
      Matthew 24:39
And they were unaware until the flood came and swept them all away, so will be the coming of the Son of Man.
      Matthew 24:37
For as were the days of Noah, so will be the coming of the Son of Man.
      Matthew 24:30
Then will appear in heaven the sign of the Son of Man, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
      Matthew 24:27
For as the lightning comes from the east and shines as far as the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man.
      Luke 19:10
For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.”
      Luke 12:40
You also must be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect.”
      Luke 9:58
And Jesus said to him, “Foxes have holes, and birds of the air have nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay his head.”
      Mark 14:62
And Jesus said, “I am, and you will see the Son of Man seated at the right hand of Power, and coming with the clouds of heaven.”
      Mark 9:12
And he said to them, “Elijah does come first to restore all things. And how is it written of the Son of Man that he should suffer many things and be treated with contempt?
      Matthew 12:40
For just as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of the great fish, so will the Son of Man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.
      John 12:23
And Jesus answered them, “The hour has come for the Son of Man to be glorified.
      Mark 9:31
For he was teaching his disciples, saying to them, “The Son of Man is going to be delivered into the hands of men, and they will kill him. And when he is killed, after three days he will rise.”
      John 8:28
So Jesus said to them, “When you have lifted up the Son of Man, then you will know that I am he, and that I do nothing on my own authority, but speak just as the Father taught me.
      Daniel 7:13
“I saw in the night visions, and behold, with the clouds of heaven there came one like a son of man, and he came to the Ancient of Days and was presented before him.

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe. He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light. That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world. He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. He came unto his own, and his own received him not. But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
      John 1:1‭-‬14 KJV
For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me.

    • @Spectre4913
      @Spectre4913 ปีที่แล้ว +51

Except that it is a religion. Just because someone says something doesn't change the fact that it's a religion by every definition. Every religion teaches a relationship with its diety. What's different? Nothing.

    • @GThomas-qq6mp
      @GThomas-qq6mp ปีที่แล้ว +15

@@Spectre4913 It's a religion but not a doctrine. In Christianity whether you believe in Jesus or not, He looks at the heart. One might confuse relationships to parents or the state as authoritative forces which are often confused with Christianity. It is however historically true, ego inflations within authoritative forces punish like they're God. That's completely wrong whether identified as a believer or not. You find the pattern all around in humans once they're confronted to the unknown.
Christ is life lived, just as described "through the good and bad times". I have realised from the 3 Abraham religions that Judaism and Islam are social collectives with their 'identity' just as we see today in wokeness. In christianity I find myself home in Christ as an individual and never have the idea i'm in a social collective. It's just like "the West", individual families that live. It is personal, the notion is often confused and overlapping with psychology. If you reflect and live life, improve upon yourself, you're good. In christ you are a sinner and that's not to be understood as bad thing but as a human thing. Once you see the connections between your consciousness and life, that you'll deeply touched and understand what spirit is. It is often when people leave religion, they find peace and autonomy. The old testaments is horrendous and new testament (Jesus Christ) perfectly fits modern age. In these post modernist age, it is all identity above truth, "new - ..., new-age". It's all an attempt to create a new God.

I read somewhere that CS Lewis once walked into a room where there was a lively discussion on how Christianity differs from all other world views. "What's all this about then?" asked Lewis. Mr. Lennox is a very likeable person and I enjoy listening to him. However, it's best when he sticks to the science area of believing in God and The Bible.
He said regarding Jesus saying: "...that if we listen to him and accept his word and believed on him as the savior as the son of God, we would have in that moment eternal life and we would not come into judgement..." is why he should not teach matters spiritual of God or Jesus or the apostles. Because, if Lennox's interpretations were true, and additionally that good works "are not the basis of acceptance," there would have been absolutely no need for any followers of Jesus and True Christians of the first (and somewhat into the second) century AD to have kept teaching and preaching Gods good news at the risk of losing their jobs, going to prison, to be beaten and whipped, tortured and murdered, all described in The Bible and in academic/secular writings, if works were not Needed. "Faith without works is useless" and "faith without works is dead" and "Nevertheless, someone will say: “You have faith, and I have works. Show me your faith without the works, and I will show you my faith by my works." (James 2:20; 2:26; 2:18). Lennox is right. You are saved by grace THROUGH faith. Salvation is given when you confess Christ and repent of your sins. From that moment, you are considered a child of God. Then we begin to live by faith/trust. But like you said, faith is dead without works. We do good works because God has saved us, not so God can save us. That's the huge difference between a life of trusting God and a life of works for salvation sake.

0:25: 🙌 John Lennox explains the difference between Christianity and other religions based on evidence and trust.
3:48: 📚 The speaker recalls a seminal experience at Trinity College Cambridge where he learned about a rational forensic defense of the resurrection of Jesus.
15:10: 💡 The speaker argues that if one does not preclude the supernatural possibility of the Resurrection, there are significant historic reasons to believe in its occurrence.
7:51: 🙏 Christianity is not a merit-based religion, but a relationship with God.
11:21: 💔 The video discusses how every person has fallen short of God's glory, but God still loves us and made a way for us to be righteous through Christ's sacrifice on the cross.

To talk about how ONLY YOUR magick sky wizard is actually based in fact and not faith like the other beliefs really just... makes you sound incredibly insecure or arrogant
This literally is just a video of him saying "im right and every other beliefs are wrong and blind faith, and we have evidence because we have all of these books containing magick.
Its like saying im right and have evidence, because i decided it to be so
Its more making god in your own image than being any sort of open or receptive to truth
If all you can do is try to blanket the other groups as crazy extremists listening to devils and schizophrenic paranoid delusion, you dont have an argument because literally every one of your arguments applies just as much to your religion
Saying MERIT loudly with conviction does not give you more merit
You will look at older sanskrit stories claiming to be true and you will dismiss it and say they are just fairy tales for their magic elements and philosophy, but then literally say your religion is right dispite literally only popping up thousands of years later in documents that have no sources or witnesses and you just handwave the Contradictions away by falling back on a belief that "oh, the true story was always known, just not written down because everybody knew it"
That is the limit of your evidence, but you dismiss claims documents and stories of other faiths as just made up while falling back on a faith without evidence or documentation to support the claim that your stories are the real truth
These people are literally so clueless and confused its like the sun tzu meme "to confuse your enemy you must first confuse yourself"
They say other beliefs are just made up, but dismiss historic document trails and literally history carved in stone to believe a story that literally has no observable evidence or history was real instead
The thing about comparing jesus to the ceasars is we can dig them up and fucking blood sample them, but somehow we cant seen to find the cave with a blood sample to confirm the ressurection of the chosen one... with all those claimed fictional witnesses and worshippers... how odd right?
Because the thing is, history DOES leave observable testable reaults in a lab, but no such thing has ever been found to confirm Christianity
You would literally rather remain ignorant to the fact that we have the rest of the historical records and events from the time period and area but mysteriously no records confirming the events have ever been found... unless, that "hole in the records" is just a lack of records or evidence...

Too many of you intentionally ignore Gods words for the sake of your traditions, because your traditions benefit and suit you better, and not Gods word.

If anyone thinks he is religious and does not bridle his tongue but deceives his heart, this person’s religion is worthless. 27Religion that is pure and undefiled before God the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained from the world.

Christianity is about establishing a relationship with God through religion. Ppl often parrot the "Christianity is not a religion" phrase because they're practicing a version of it that allows them to define the relationship on their own terms. It is safe to assume that such ppl are following a version of God that is more convenient for them and not the God in the Bible. Christ stated in John that whoever loves Him will live by His commandments. That is religion.

It's like my relationship with my dog. I love him unconditionally and would do anything for him. I know he's not the smartest of doggos, but he is incredibly sweet. I did my best to teach him the rules and how to be, but to him he can't comprehend the full picture, and I know that he never will. And yet I try to get him off the leash as much as possible, give him as much freedom as I'm allowed to, and trust him to be good as much as I can. So I know he will make mistakes, but that doesn't matter because I already love him and will always accept his mistakes as something that comes with him. The result is that he is free to be himself, and his self is beautiful and he is adored by everyone who sees him because they can see the beauty of what a free, trusted, and loved dog looks like. And I hope I will see him in Heaven one day, and before then I will honor him in life and memory, because I know he would do the same for me.

In all my 65 years, I have never heard such a clear and succinct lesson regarding Christianity.
It became clear to me that it was unique by observation, contemplation and deduction, especially during my travels around the world, primarily my ten years in Asia. I never could put my finger on it though.
I’ve been in and out of churches, starting in a Catholic family; mostly out. Enthralled by Buddhism and its trappings for much of the time I made pilgrimages to hundreds of those temples…
The good thing is that it kept God in focus for me most of the time even though Jesus seemed to be out of the picture.
Now I feel more at peace than ever from this simple yet profound lecture as I was recently told my neck cancer has spread to my lungs and is terminal.
Immunotherapy starts next week and is supposed to get me more time.
Either way, we’re all on the same train, just different stops.

Too many of you intentionally ignore Gods words for the sake of your traditions, because your traditions benefit and suit you better, and not Gods word.

My first step to learning faith started in college, when I started really nervous in a TT match. But once I started hitting my shots more and more and play the way I wanted, that's when I learned what real confidence was about. Basically, you don't just believe, and that you had to work to build it.
Sometime after, I learned about trust for children multiple times. How it is important to fulfill their needs. The message is very clear. These things need something of substance for them to be based on.
Then after watching JBP and several other videos with people testifying that science actually supports Christianity, and other pieces of knowledge falling into place, that's when I finally pieced it together. Trust and confidence are built. Shouldn't faith be the same? That's the only way it would make sense.
And then there's also looking up the origins of the relevant words, and boy were they linked. Definitely, faith should not be blind.

@JiraiyaSama86 - Saving Faith is not learned! Saving Faith is a gift of God! For we do not believe through our own faith mustered within ourselves. No, that faith is simply never strong enough! Ephesians 2:8-9 says this: For it is by grace that ye are saved, through faith, but this not of yourselves it is the gift of God; not of works lest any man should boast. Then Galatians 2:20 says this: For I am crucified with Christ, yet I live, but not I that lives it is Christ who lives within me, and the life I now live in the flesh, I live by faith of the Son of God; Who loves me and gave His life for me. " Faith Of " KJV - Correct, " faith in " incorrect, almost all other translations or Satan at work.
Then Christ Himself goes as far as to pray this in John 17:20-21 - Christ prays: " I do not pray for these alone, but also for those that come to know Me by their word, that they all might be one, even as Thou Father art in Me and I in Thee, that they also might be in US, so that the world might believe that Thou didst send Me. If we are saved by works, then hell is big place. John Lennox is an amazing speaker and communicator. Just had a discussion with some friends and a relative the other day. I could tell that they basically believed that they were not capable of living a good enough life to get God's acceptance. I told them that becoming a believer doesn't mean that you will be perfect afterwards, that you will not sin anymore. I told them that it means that you will recognize your sin, and that at the same time you will recognize the need for a savior. Jesus did all the work on the cross, accept it.

But , if you believe in the Christian God, your life on Earth is a relationship with Him. And that gives you peace and a desire to be loving. You may do wrong, but you feel you've let Him down if you do. You strive to do good because you are filled with love, not because you are earning brownie points.

It is why people believe in conspiracy theorists without evidence.
Again this ridiculous "wife analaogy" from theists. If a pastor told you this one, then they didn't think things through-and neither did you.
I can demonstrate that my wife exists. You can't demonstrate your god exists. @@bradhobbs3447 you don’t need a book to believe in God, but you do need his word to know what he loves and hates, what is right and what is wrong and what he asks of you. How to defend yourself against the enemy, how to pray how to please him how to be close to him, had to be reconciled to him because of our sin. If it wasn’t for scripture, I wouldn’t even know I needed to be saved. Death came into the world thru sin. EVERYONE has sinned, big or small. God is a just, He’s perfect and sin like crime cannot go unpunished by a good judge. We will all be judged for our crimes against God. Doing good cant erase the bad. If ur charged with robbery in court the charges aren’t dropped bc you gave the money to charity. You’re in court for your crime, you could’ve done a million good deeds they won’t matter. U won’t be set free bc ur sorry either, u should be, your punishment stands. On judgment day every person will be held accountable and the sentence is death and ETERNAL separation from God in hell. But God is merciful and He loves us more than we can understand, but sin cannot go unpunished. So God became Man. He lived a perfect life and never sinned, then He willingly died a horrific death for us, taking the punishment we deserve. Just before passing He said, “it is finished.” Our debt was paid in full. But thats not it He rose from the dead, defeating death, proving that He is who He says He is and like He took our place ,we take His place as children of God. IF we Confess with our mouths that Jesus is Lord, and believe in our hearts that God raised him from the dead, we will be saved, given eternal life and be filled with the Holy Spirit. We all need to preach this wisdom. When I first experienced God there were moments after which were confusing. I didn’t know why he gave me such a profound experience. I didn’t feel worthy of it, I didn’t know if I had done something to earn it and it was confusing. Later when my father gifted me my first Bible he wrote a quote on the front page:
“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith-and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God- 9 not by works, so that no one can boast.”
    - Ephesians 2:8-9
This was my answer and see the wisdom in it. It perfectly resolved a profound experience for me and humbled me. Especially in the beginning, if you seek the lord sincerely don’t be surprised when he makes his unconditional love known to you. Let the grace of this humble you before our Lord and continue forward appropriately once faith has replaced with a knowing of the truth of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.

Recently I asked my Dad why he included that quote on the front page. It’s an odd one, it’s not a classic or cliche quote. He replied simply “I don’t know why, all I know is I definitely prayed before hand”. God answered my prayer of understanding my experience of Him, years later through my own Father without me ever having told him about any of it. There’s a beauty to that which I don’t think I can put in words but am so grateful for.

Simply believing and putting our trust in Jesus Christ is all we need to experience real and authentic joy, peace, understanding, forgiveness, and relationship than anything else this world has to offer. It’s an amazing tactic the devil uses to make people feel comfortable with sin. God warns us all throughout the Bible of what awaits us when we live in sin. Don’t be fooled to think God won’t punish even those he loves.

@@ntkmw8058 Hell is mentioned 167 times in the Bible, sometimes called Gehenna, Hades, the pit, the Abyss, or everlasting punishment (Proverbs 7:27; Luke 8:31; 10:15; 2 Thessalonians 1:9). Jesus spoke of heaven and hell as real places (Matthew 13:41-42; 23:33; Mark 9:43-47; Luke 12:5). The story Jesus told about the rich man and Lazarus was an actual event that demonstrated the reality of the two eternal destinations (Luke 16:19-31). Heaven is the dwelling place of God (2 Chronicles 30:27) where Jesus has gone to “prepare a place” for those who love Him (John 14:2). Hell was created for “the devil and his angels” (Matthew 25:41). But because every human being is a sinner, every person past the age of accountability has already been condemned to hell (Romans 3:10; 5:12; John 3:18). We all deserve hell as the just punishment for our rebellion against God (Romans 6:23).

I think you're reffering pretty heavily to James 2:14-26. I think it sums it up pretty well.

Am a Christian and I found a lovely idea in this that in Christianity acceptance comes first unlike other monotheistic religions
