- Join us for a tour of our Sun Princess Deluxe Balcony Cabin, just a few minutes after we boarded Princess Cruises newest and largest ship.
In this tour we will take you around the Deluxe Balcony cabin, bathroom and balcony and give you our first impressions on all the important things such as does it have a Kettle, and how good is the hairdryer! And of course equally important stuff such as the bed, balcony and bathroom :)
The Sun Princess launched in March 2024 and at the time of recording was the worlds newest ship
We were invited to cruise on Sun Princess as part of a media trip. Whilst the cruise was hosted by princess at no cost to us, everything else was covered by ourselves and we are not restricted by Princess to anything we say on our videos, not do they have or asked for any editorial oversight or control, so as usual you will get our totally honest opinions!

These cabins are just absolutely gorgeous - they look so much bigger than the standard balcony cabins I’m more used to on the other Princess ships.
I have to say - watching Linz playing with those lights - I couldn’t stop laughing 😂
They definitely seemed bigger inside too Fraser, we think it is clever use of space and furnishings rather than actually being much bigger, but they are lovely, and really well equipped too. Loads of USB sockets everywhere which was much appreciated.
It wasn't the last time she had fun with the lights either. One night (middle of night, 3 am ish) she accidentally pulled out the reading light and it was like someone had switched on floodlights. it was like the scene from National Lampoons Christmas Vacation!

It's such a pretty cabin Brigitte and oh the bed. It is so comfy. The best bed we've ever had at sea or on Land.

So nice to see you so excited! Lovely cabin, and so glad they have NO shower curtains! Love a bar in the shower to put your foot on when shaving your legs. Gorgeous view! I’m embarking from Athens in September.

We love sailing out of there, and it's really not that far a drive or bus back into or from Athens either.
Loves lovely but I agree not sure how well it will wear. The shower looks perfect and lots of drawers for me to fill up!
time will tell on the colours and how they age Jo but right now, as new, they are lovely and we've had no issues with cupboard or drawer space at all. and wait till you get see the genius night light system. it makes those late night loo visits much easier, especially after a few cocktails 😂
To open the balcony door, just use a little hip bump to break the seal, then pull. Same on Discovery Princess.😀

I have seen cabins with the footstools the pull up and fit under the chairs.
The first cabins that Princess made available to tour, I believe they had these.
I suspect the lack of footstool is some kind of delay.

That would be fantastic if they have the footstools going forward m, it was really our only criticism of the cabin after the cruise.

Lovely and modern but is there enough storage for longer cruises?
There was so much room in the wardrobes, cabinets and drawers Lynn. Much more so than on P&O and similar (if not a bit more) than what we had Don our longer Celebrity Apex transatlantic.
assuming that the beds can be configured as a twin....it appears that the light switches etc will be inaccessible behind the beds?
They can, and that is a great point, we know someone who was on there with a Twin set up, so we will ask and find out.
By chance does the sofa convert into a bed? Some cabins disappear when you select 4 guests. Would they really not have a sofa bed in each cabin?
It certainly did convert in our cabin. As far as we can tell every Deluxe balcony appears to have them and above that generally so too.

Very little motion at all, but then again the weather was very good, and we didn't have any rough seas to really challenge it. However we have been right at the front on Enchanted Princess in rough weather and that was still not bad either.
