    The Dazz3D L120 Pro had a resin auto-refill system maybe 5 years ago, and the recent Elegoo Jupiter has it too. It's great to see Anycubic adding it too.

    I'm using an old anycubic i3 mega and manual leveling has always been a huge pain! These new products look really good for someone like me who just wants to have an easy use auto-leveling system! Also, what's the music at the end? It slaps :D

    • @TheRealSamPrentice
      @TheRealSamPrentice  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The music at the end is called Granny Dance ;) I think there is merit in auto levelling an I too have the i3 mega X & S it takes time to tune these things, but yes it does make printing easier.

    Question, do the wires come ferruled or will I have to do this myself? I have one coming soon and I'm really hoping anycubic isn't just tinning the wires like everyone else.

    • @TheRealSamPrentice
      @TheRealSamPrentice  ปีที่แล้ว

      From memory they are tinned but I upgraded them myself. As far as I’m aware no one has reported any problems with running the ends, however it isn’t best practice and from a feedback point of view anycubic are told by multiple reviewers to undertake this

    Hi. I am thinking of buying this. I’ve never done 3d printing and I want a printer that doesn’t require tinkering/modding and faffing. I also have projects that need to be strong and functional. Is this the right printer (I need the volume) and can it print in engineering type filaments and the soft flexible filaments? I need to make clamps and monitor arms and threaded brackets and flexible iPad Pro cases… thanks.

    • @TheRealSamPrentice
      @TheRealSamPrentice  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Zoe, most printers will require an amount of finessing and maintaining. The max is a good printer for sure and the price is solid. What filaments are you looking to print as this is good for pla petg and tpu if you were lookng at abs or more engineering elements you might have a challenge. Let me know

    Great review.
    I do like the printer, but they have missed a trick with no direct drive and the hotend from the vyper. I wish it had the direct drive titan aero clone and LeviQ of the smaller cobra. I was looking to get this and use some of my stockpiled E3D genuine Titan aero to upgrade it, now I know it has the same hotend arrangement as vyper im not that happy as I had the strain guage fail on me twice, once I was able to fix myself, the other was a month of not printing with it while I waited for a replacement strain guage from Anycubic.
    I dont think changing the Kobra max to direct drive will be that easy as its not as simple as swapping out the print head of the tiny Kobra's direct drive as I assume the probe will not work with the glass bed of the max, also not sure how easy swapping to a BLtouch as a replacement to the strain guage would be.
    What they need to do is smash both themax & Kobras together with the build volume & mechanics of the max, and the fillament delivery system of the teeny Kobra, then they would have a decent product on their hands rather than 2 compromised machines.

    • @firebloomstudios140
      @firebloomstudios140 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I do have several Anycubic printers incl. Chiron and Vyper. Vyper is real improvement but I am with you when saying they missed really a direct driver. I will also move to Ender 3 S1 Pro and have a look on those. For me Kobra Max is just a Chiron on steroids. I updated mine to a E3D V6 volcano with a 0.8 Ruby Nozzle and just print larger stuff. Also works great.

    The Kobra vs Kobra Max naming is terrible, and while I love my Vyper, the leveling sensor is terribly undersupported and shouldn't be found on new machines until they offer easy and fast replacement sensors.
    I'm tired of waiting a month+ for a replacement sensor for the 2nd time

    • @TheRealSamPrentice
      @TheRealSamPrentice  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'd agree with the names to be fair, it was a little closed off on the features between machines too. I'm my mind Vyper should have been the smaller one and the Cobra (as the Max) I would have liked to have seen the new hotend on the max too.

  • @Gowaduv
    @Gowaduv 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Anycubic is going to take the crown for "Most Confusing 3D Printer Naming Scheme" from Creality. Help me make sure I've got this right: the Kobra Max has the same bowden hot end as the Vyper, while the Kobra (not max) uses direct drive. The K-Max uses the nozzle tip to level the bed (conductive sensor somewhere?), the Vyper uses a strain gage and the Kobra has an inductive sensor because it came with a spring steel bed plate. Aside from that, the K-Max is essentially a scaled up Vyper (and has a larger Y-axis motor to compensate for the larger bed).

  • @adamklosterman8960
