My last dog that passed away started having seizures a few months before she died. I can't put into words how scary that was for me.
She lived to be 14 1/2 had her since she was 11 weeks. I don't think the sadness will ever go away 😥🐶💔

I so sorry. Wish I could take the pain away. ❤
My Maddey is 14 and she was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2016, had all the nipples removed on her right side, but it's spread because tumors are everywhere. I took her just last week to the vet and he said she's almost 100% blind and her liver isn't working much, and she's now permanently on vetprofin for pain, and her days are better, the shaking is gone, I think the pain caused, bc by golly she runs and plays like our2 youngest. I just don't want to endure the end. I've never lost my BFF before and she never leaves my sight since I rescued her. She sleeps next to me, follows me all over the house, in the car, and I can't stomach losing her😭 I think I understand why my mom never allowed us to have pets, bc of the pain of losing them.

@@savedbyJESUS777 Thanks and so sorry to hear about your Maddey 😥🐶💔
Of course it's always sadder when it's our pets but my heart hurts when I hear other pets have health issues, too. I get really upset if I see any animal hurt, injured, abused, or that has a serious health issue.
      Stay positive but prepared!
Things can change so fast when they are older. Well, we can't fully prepare ourselves but hopefully you know what I mean.
The pain is great losing them but the love and companionship they give us while we have them I can't imagine being without although after my dog passed that had Kidney Failure the yelps she constantly did for two days before she passed was so traumatic on me (meds didn't help her pain) I wouldn't get another dog then. Up to that point I hadn't even gone one day without a dog in something like 25 years or maybe 30 I keep forgetting exactly. I could literally hear her yelps for a long time after she was gone. I finally gave in two years later and got the dog that passed last year.
It never gets any easier and in fact it just gets harder for me.

I have a dog that use to have seizures. I learned somewhere to put an ice pack on the spine & keep calm & talk to them. So I kept a gel pack in my freezer. He experienced a pretty bad seizure one day, I applied the ice pack & he quickly relaxed, still shaking, but more coherent, then I gave him CBD oil after the episode .
I started giving him coconut oil in his food, he’s small, so I started with 1/4 tsp once a day. It’s suppose to help with dementia also (healthy fat for the brain). It’s been about 4 years now that he’s been seizure free👍.
I love your videos Dr. Jones!! You’ve helped me look into natural cures for all of our fur babies conditions😘

I’m a dog groomer and have seen several seizures while grooming, it’s the most helpless feeling. If you have a seizure prone dog, consider mobile service for grooming or having the dog groomed at a vets office. Let the groomer know the situation and how the dog’s symptoms or triggers begin. Some dogs get worse from full moons, high temperatures, thunder, separation anxiety, loud noises (like a dryer) or riding in cars.

Here is vital info to Help you with these babies! 🦊
It is so horrible when seizures happen and the vets don’t even know or won’t tell us why this is happening to so many dog’s now!!!
While searching the net to help my own dog, I got a remedy and a treatment!
All you have to do is, keep a warm soft blanket around for these kids and a ziplock bag with ice cubes sealed in it, with a bandana wrapped around it and store it in the freezer, so it is ready for the emergency.
When a dog has the event, get the ice pack out of the freezer and place in the middle of the animal’s back on their spine, wrap them in the blankey, while keeping the ice pack in place, they get a little chilled from the pack and hold them, comfort them and loving them calmly.
Usually, they are up and running around again with’in 15 minutes!!!!!!!!!! 🙌🏻 🥰
This was an answer to prayer for me! ✝️
Then I started giving her, non gmo Organic Hemp oil. She’s about a 15 LB dog, so I give her, 3 to 4 drops a day mixed into food and now she barely has anymore seizures! 🤗
I hope this will help 100’s, of owner’s and their dog’s! Please pass it on.
      Blessings ❤

Garlic juice cures dog seizures instantaneously! Keep a jar of chopped garlic handy. If fresh, chop the garlic finely, place it in milk and mix it and strain it and give it to your dog. You should use a dropper or something similar. The garlic works wonders, get it at a dollar tree, organic or make it on your own and keep it in the fridge. GARLIC JUICE

My dog (the one in my pfp) had a seizure today not too long ago. She’s about 9 years old and she’s a toy poodle. She’s a small dog. Whenever the seizure happened, I for sure thought that she would die and that all hope was lost. But thankfully, she ended up being ok and the seizure ended quickly. If this ever happens to your dog, stay calm and do what this guy does. Applying the cold cloth on your dog really helps. If the seizure lasts 5 minutes or longer, take them to the vet right away! But don’t worry, your dog will most likely be ok. Stay safe guys!

Garlic juice. I keep a jar in the fridge. I use the juice and give it to my dog asap and the seizure is gone within seconds.
Use garlic infused milk or garlic infused water if there’s no garlic juice handy.
1-2tsp (at a time) of garlic juice
1 syringe (at a time) of infused water or milk.
The garlic juice in the chopped garlic jar is better because it’s ready and concentrated.
I got it at dollar tree.
Remember they can’t swallow fast in these moments, so just be careful and sometimes you have to drop it close to their throat because they won’t swallow at all

My grandmas dog, I lived with my grandma at the time while our house was being built and I was playing in the computer room at the computer and I was only 8. It was only me and my brother that was home that day and my grandmas dog (Sophie) was sitting behind my hair. I heard her kind of like making little noises and so I turned around and she was shaking really bad. I immediately tried helping her then I took her to my brother. We got her to stop but we were completely clueless to was it was cause we were both young. We told our parents and grandparents what happened when they came home and they took her to the vet and she has to take seizure medication daily. It would’ve been super helpful to know this information when I was a kid

Don’t wait until 5 minutes to call your vet, call them immediately. Turn off all lighting and anything creating noise as your pet will be hypersensitive to it during and after the seizure. Recording the seizure can help your vet, so do this if possible

Great Video doc... also what i noticed with my personal experiences with large breed dogs... if possible you position your knee or feet to stop the legs from travelling .. the dog while seizured seems to attempt to right itself. or travel forwards .. allowing their paws to anchor against you feet does allow for the dog to be more calm as it regains it senses.. also when the dog comes around it is similar to epileptic persons, they are a bit confused and want to walk it off as if nothing happened..

my sister became epileptic when i was 7 . so i am very familiar with human seizures upwards of 50 a week. their is a similarity in my case experience . as with humans. you try to avoid moving them... you protect them from injury or falling over, and wait for them to regain blood flows and from 1 momment to the next they are better and not aware of what just happened to them... even though their eyes are wide open

The same thing happened to me. My dog started having them at age 2-3. Now she's almost 6 years old and just had another one this morning only lasted a few mins. This time I recorded it on my phone and showed it to my vet. After having 5-6 seizures I was finally informed these episodes are seizures. Every time this happened they would take her blood work and say she was fine and possibly got spooked by something.
Now they said she possibly may need an MRI that will cost $2,000 -- 4,000 to see if there are any lesions or tumors potentially crushing her spinal cord.

GARLIC JUICE! Also milk (or water) with garlic infused into it! Use a dropper. Just a small amount of garlic juice will cure the seizure ASAP. 1tsp of garlic juice at a time or a dropper of garlic milk or garlic water at a time. Works Within seconds depending on severity of the seizure and the strength of the garlic solution or juice. That’s why I recommend the straight juice and you can keep a jar from the store in the fridge.

I had a German Shepard who was my LE k9 parter. I had a heart attack w some bad consequences-had to medically retire 😢. So of course my K9 was retired With w me She NEVER had her eyes off me-we were like conjoined twins. We were in my bed chillin w a movie on. I was sitting up Indian style. The 1st seizure 😢came-guess she knew something was wrong, jumped in my lap not usual for her wasn’t violent) 2 mins max-she was completely normal afterI was like if she’s down I’m gonna be with her. Then my dog who was a police dog/we also did Search & rescue. On Dec..13th totally unexpected happened , I was outside put last of yard decor, came back in couldn’t find her anywhere😮 ran around house calling her/checked backyard-nothing. I was going thru house like a crazy woman & found her in wash room she had never gone in there before -. I grabbed her dog bed to at least put her head on-grabbed me a pillow-wasn’t gone 30 secs-as I returned she had taken her last breath. It was one of the hardest days of my life.No I didn’t take her to the vet after seizures as their was no defect and they were few & long between. I knew going to vet would be MRIs or catscans , s a m sabloodwork & every test they could do-knew the bill would be outrageous. She probably had about 8 seizures over her 12 1/2 years. Unfortunately she passed in December. Was so weird, had not been sick, was perfectly normal ate her breakfast that day-went outside to potty.,I was outside finishing yard decorations- when I came in like an hour later she was nowhere to be found. I’m going nuts looking & calling her name; nothing. Finally something caught my eye-she was in the wash room, on could tile (she had never taken a step in the washroom before) but the rest were just like the first! Had she had defects afterward, or had them repeatedly DEFIANTLY rushed her to animal hospital! I wish I had thought of the cold packs-I was monitoring everything including here temp….probably had 5-6 seizures in her 12 1/2 years. Thanks for the videos you put out! Love them.

What are the different stages of a seizure? My dog starts off with a focal seizure(mouth fit), along with stiffening, trembling, and urinating on himself. Finally a deep sleep until he comes out of it. This could last anywhere from 2 to 6 minutes for me. Would that be how long his seizure is? Six minutes?

this is happening to my dog every month or so and When I give her subcuataneous fluid it keeps her from having another one. I've been researching trying to figure out what is in that fluid that helps her and it's those electrolytes which as far as I can tell are closest to what is in bone broth. I have been giving her bone broth with her raw premade chicken patty along with some herbs but then she had a seizure this morning. I hadn't done the fluid for at least a month.. Do you have any thoughts on this? Thank you

My dog has been on Epiphen for 2 years to control the seizures but unfortunately this has worn off and the seizures have returned. I have kept a journal on her seizures so have a full record of her progress. I have discovered a fantastic natural remedy that has no nasty side effects and supports GABA. I have recently given her this supplement and done a 5 minute vlog on TH-cam with the results (Help for dogs with epilepsy) on my channel (Just Kidding). I have done weekly updates and am happy to say we haven't had 1 seizure to date and this is whilst I have started reducing her intake of Epiphen. If you could have a look and give me feedback I would live it. It has also increased my dogs alertness and her cognitive support has increased.

Seizures in cats are usually brain tumors. My cat started having seizures and passed a few months later from cancer. Epilepsy is cats is extremely rare, so you did the most compassionate action because it was most likely cancer. Letting go is never easy, but you made a kind decision.

Our 15 year old healthy long hair dachshund had a DHPP vaccine that I believe caused my dog to have a seizure. My doggie was feeling very bad all day and night after the vacine and had very loose stools. 2 and a half days later he had a seizure. My Wife and I were crying in fear. He is such a sweet gentle boy and so loving. We wish we never let him get this vaccine. Can this be the cause of his symptoms? We definitely don’t want to go back to that office as they insisted our little boy be vaccinated before he could have his wellness exam.

Good call by you and I’m sure CBD oil has much less side effects than expensive anti seizure meds. That’s the route I would have taken if they were frequent like your dog’s were.
Our male lab mix had seizures his entire life. Probable average of one every 3 or 4 months. They’d typically last only a couple minutes but you could almost predict them as he’d be a little anxious all day before. He’d get a little scared during them and would always seek me out. He’d lie down and I’d just pat him and talk calmly and after he’d jump up and get a treat.
He lived to almost 16 years and they never affected his overall health.
