Heck yeah I remember Yan and all his puns.. As soon as I wok up I'd wok over to the TV, see what new wok pun was on his shirt when he'd wok into camera range. A real "wokstar" chef. After woktching the show I'd wok over to the rehearsal studio for practice with my wok band... for real . And doncha say "wok's up, Doc" ;-)

Grew up watching him back in the 80s. Wok with Yan...lol always liked to tune in to see what he had written on his apron. LOL
Am 50 now and am looking into learning how to cook Chinese food at home for the family. His vids are so easy to follow.

As a kid in the 80s, I LOVED this show. Since I missed a lot of school, this would come on every morning. I was home alone since my single parent mom worked, so I would take an old pot of mom's since we never had a wok, add 2 tbsp. Vegetable oil, cut up a raw chicken breast, add soy sauce, and made this while watching him. Not of course before I stuck a single chopstick in the oil first and check for bubbles, then you know oil is hot enough to add chicken, like he always said. Good Times..

Fried Rice Dish? This makes so much sense to me. Its already been prepared small so it is in small bites already, And that oil adds so much flavor and oils my body. Just as it is good to oil a car engine it is good to oil a body, Ha ha.
