    My Polish Grandmother, a WW2 Prisoner of War who came to America and spoke English but certainly not perfectly, used to watch him every day, every episode, she loved him, thought he was the best. I grew up watching him. He used to love doing "Jullllllieeene.... Jullineeeenee" while chopping lol.

    Wow...I need to pull down my bamboo steaming rack. Bet the tofu dish would be great with chicken thigh. Love watching this man cook :)

    5:12 When Martin Yan is tasting the soup, a background sound appeared in Cantonese, asking a possibly kitchen staff to take the phone call, Martin Yan immediately replied in Cantonese thay guy wasn't here!

    for the melon bowl soup i hardly believe the meat has any flavor in it. He never marinaded them or done anything for flavoring other than putting them in stock.

      This MAY be late, but I don't think marinating meat is OK if you're doing soup.
