Painting the Interior of our Skoolie! | BUS BUILD EPISODE 42

- Did you guess the right color?? We are in love with how it turned out! After getting a little bit of plumbing work done, we spent the majority of this week painting and adding hinges and latches to all our cabinet doors. Having the doors and drawers in place really pulls the whole space together! We are so grateful to Emily's mom and brother who came out to help us paint this week, we might still be painting if not for them!
We used Behr Dynasty Stain Blocking Paint & Primer in Pesto Paste (green) and Frittata (cream)

Holy! I just binged this entire series in 2 days and am in LOVE. I absolutely love the color scheme inside and the countertop looks a million times better now that it’s not surround by more and more wood lol. I just wanted to say Emily, your ability to constantly smile is contagious and amazing. And I absolutely love Gavin’s sense of humor, there have been so many jokes that fly over people head that get me laughing. You guys are amazing and I’m glad you’re living your dream ❤️ time to subscribe! I can’t wait we’re getting so close to the end of the build!!!

I’m getting emotional at how close you guys are to finishing your bus!!! LOVE how the paint colours just pulled everything together. Your mom and brother are so cute, so amazing to have them help with it! Seriously though, even with all the quirks and unevenness of some of the cabinets, it’s so incredibly rewarding to have a bus that you can call home… a home you made yourself… and I’m sooooooo proud of you both for all the hard work and determination to getting her done while posting weekly on TH-cam and just about everyday on Instagram!!! You guys are sooo inspiring!! So jealous that you’ll be hitting the road SO SOON! 💙

I'm not sure the magnet latches are going to be strong enough, but you'll deal with that after you start on the road if they don't. I think you may need 5 or 10 pound gripper type latches. We shall see. Great job Emily and Gavin.
We went on a trip this past weekend and the magnets worked surprisingly well! I was a little nervous about them too. Now we just need to get latches for our drawers because they like to slide around 😂

Yes!! We may have gotten a little ahead of ourselves because we still need to find baking trays that will fit in the oven but you’re at the top of the cookie list!

Great question! Haha we have a composting toilet, we haven’t finished building the bathroom yet but we’ll have a full video on it once we do ☺️
