Backpacking Paintbrush Canyon to Cascade Canyon Loop | TRAVEL VLOGS
This is a bit different than our normal Vlog content, this one's all about the hiking vibes! If you're not in it for the views, this one may not be for you. If you just bought a 4K TV and have been looking to see the two of us trek through the Tetons in very high def, than this is your chance!
Paintbrush Canyon to Cascade Canyon Loop (Permit required to camp!)
- 2 Days
- About 20 Miles total
- About 4000 ft of elevation gain (all on Day 1!)
Day 1: We parked at the String Lake and hiked up through Paintbrush Canyon, past Holly Lake, over the Paintbrush Divide, down to Lake Solitude, and camped in the North Fork Cascade camping zone.
Day 2: Caught in a hailstorm right when we started, but had a beautiful hike out with views of the Grand Teton through Cascade Canyon, then hiked down a horse trail and along Jenny Lake back the parking lot. We got pizza at Dornan's on the way out!
Questions about the hike, our planning, our gear, or our general life aspirations? Do you prefer it when you don't hear us talk? Drop a comment!

Hiking Angels Landing Without a Permit! | BUSLIFE VLOGS
มุมมอง 1.2Kปีที่แล้ว
After 3 days of applying for Angels Landing permits with no luck, we decided to forge ahead and find the next best hike in Zion National Park. We may have joked once or twice about waiting at the trailhead to find someone with extra permits, but had fully given up hope when we started our hike. In an incredible stroke of luck we started chatting to one of the friendliest couples we've ever met ...
We Bought a Car?! | Major Buslife Upgrade
มุมมอง 582ปีที่แล้ว
We bought a car!! After relying on a motorcycle as our second vehicle for months, we decided to upgrade our ride 😎. While we were back on the East Coast visiting family, we found our perfect adventure mobile and pulled the trigger. Buying the car in our home state made the registration process much smoother, unfortunately it meant we still had to get it back out west to the bus. In just 3 short...
Hiking the Grand Canyon in One Day! | BUSLIFE VLOGS
มุมมอง 640ปีที่แล้ว
The NPS Website has the following warning: "Over 250 people are rescued from the canyon each year. The difference between a great adventure in Grand Canyon and a trip to the hospital (or worse) is up to YOU. DO NOT attempt to hike from the rim to the river and back in one day, especially during the months of May to September." They told us it couldn't be done, so we did it anyway. Come along on...

Welcome to our cozy little home on wheels! We have been living on the road for about 9 months now, and are thrilled to finally release a tour of the bus! We filmed our entire build, so if you are interested in seeing how we constructed anything in detail check out our build series! Thank y...
NATIONAL PARK BACK DOOR? (exploring Arches and Canyonlands)

Welcome to Utah! We arrived in Moab, UT and spent the last few weeks boondocking with cows and exploring 2 incredible national parks (although Emily definitely enjoyed one more than the other). Moab is prime location for buslife and we even found a pretty nifty hack for getting into a National Park without a reservation 🤫 We hope you enjoy this week's desert views, love youu! 🎊Link party: Follo...

After all the snow, it's finally time for a change of scenery and we are heading to the desert! This week we visited our first national park, made new friends, and even found some dinosaur bones! Why is this our first video rated for dangerous stunts? Welcome back from your holiday break! After our previous video we spent quality time with family through the holidays, and are now jumping ahead to January when we were finally ready to take the Big Drive out west. That door looks great but I've been a school bus driver for years and have converted on myself and that is a terribly unsafe door. The blind spots created are literally lethal. That top winsow needs to be bigger and it needs a lower one. It does look great but please watch some school bus blind spot videos.

The interior height was 6’6” when we bought it! After demo and re-adding floor insulation/ceiling it was around 6’4”. Gavin is 6’3” and Emily is 5’10” so we were specifically shopping for a bus with tall ceilings because we didn’t want to do a roof raise.

Did you try auto tap screws for metal? Also what kind of drill bit did you use? You definitely want a good titanium bit, and I prefer using Titanium stepper bits. Also, if you had framed the doorway out it would have made your job a lot easier! Live and learn 🤷‍♂️ Your door turned out amazing!
