It has become an annual Zentangle tradition for us to celebrate the holiday season with a series we call The Twelve Days of Zentangle. For twelve consecutive days, we deliver daily tangling lessons, guiding you through the steps to create festive tangled works of art that are all part of the same theme.
This Zentangle series is unique as we will be working on one singular piece of tangled art over the course of twelve lessons. This customized surface will provide structure and a common element to guide us on this adventure together. We will methodically and magically add to the structure as we simultaneously discuss and share our system of collecting, deconstructing, and categorizing tangles. As we take you on an adventure, we will introduce you to our Zentomology™ approach.
In true Zentangle fashion, our approach to this system is playful and open to exploration and interpretation. We use the Zentomology system as way to learn about the characteristics of tangles and explore how to use them in ways that enhance and balance our tangled compositions. As we dig into this concept, we will leave a trail of tangled artwork behind us. Join us as we get tangled up in the Zentomology approach of studying tangles while creating one large piece of tangled art.

This is the first comment I've ever left on a TH-cam video. I've been watching the last few days and am amazed at how lovely everyone is on you're channel. My new favorite thing on my phone is Mosaic. I'm a disabled Veteran and this method of illustration is very helpful . I sure wish I knew how to make the amazing tiles that you all make. I'm learning so much. I'm totally in awe of PP#17. How wonderful the Quilt mirror hack was when you used the camp mirrors to create a colidiscop. Well I really look forward to all you have in store for us in the future. Thank you ever so much.PS- I'm just wondering why it is I never heard of Zentangle as I'm 61 yrs of age and come from a whole line of very talented illustrators and painter's.

I finally got to start PP 19! While my paper dries, I'm watching all the remaining videos so I can see what's coming 🙂 We have another winter storm coming soon so I will probably lose power and take a break from working on this gorgeous and intriguing piece, but that's all part of the savoring process! Happiest of holidays to the whole Zentangle team 🙂
