Cars are like women, and I know that I would pick a wild, crazy unreliable Italian women everytime over a sensible and trustworthy German women. GT2 RS every day of the week. The racing heritage, the way it will appreciate in value over time, the sound, the handling, the turbos....it's just absolutely perfect.
GT2 RS for me. I really like the Aventador S, mostly for the reasons already stated in the video and also for this particular spec which is simple but gorgeous, but the GT2 RS is just that one level above in terms of speed, handling and driving experience. The rawness of the turbos coupled with the RWD make it more than a handful. Its the modern day 930 Turbo for me. P.S. - oh and whoever filmed the exterior shots deserves a medal!
António Gonçalves the R or GT3 are just as amazing to drive, I agree, but from all the reviews I've seen so far one thing I understood is the GT2 RS feels scary at high speed which makes it a different experience all together.
The real driving machine from Porsche is the GT3 RS. No turbos, mauel gearbox and rev over 8000rpm. GT2 RS is more the car which is built to be the fastest you can get out of an 911.e
António Gonçalves The 991 had a manual gearbox. The 991.2 not. I don't know much about the singer but the gt3 and the gt3 rs are the best sounding and are made for driving. On track or road. sucksqueezebangblow That might have been true before both brands were owned by VW. These are both Germans where it counts. Except for exterior design the Lamborghini is a German car. BTW all modern Lamborghinis are largely designed by Germans inside and out.
I choose the Porsche 911 GT2 RS, because it's not as expensive and hard to maintain as the Aventador, it's not overrated (imo, the Aventadors are insanely overrated) and, to me, it has some emotional value because it was the "theme" car for Need for Speed Undercover, the PS2 port to be exact, since it was one of my childhood's greatest games. Tl;DR: Porsche 911 GT2 RS. Edit: I forgot to mention that the Aventador is just for the looks and sound (which I honestly hate), while the Porsche is a beast when it comes to handling and performance.
I'll take the GT2. Reliability, everyday usability, handling. And it's not a car to show off. When someone drives a 911 GT2 you know this guy knows a thing or two about cars and is a true petrolhead, when you can buy V12 Lamborghini for the same price.
The Lamborghini is an Italian playboy, flamboyant, bragging, big mouthed, always trying to chat up every woman in the vicinity and telling them largely made-up stories where he always comes out as the hero. The Porsche is a German engineer, unassuming, not as sexy at first sight, but give him a drawing board and then just hold your breath.
I’m sure everyone who would choose the Lamborghini has never driven a high end sports car. The Lamborghini is a great car for sure, V12 and futuristic design but the Porsche is perfection in every single detail. Engineering at its very best. Power instantly in every situation, perfect steering, unbelievable quick gearbox and extreme downforce.
Let's consider this, there are no other car company that produces a mid-engine supercar with a normally aspirated V12 in series production like Lamborghini. If you are looking for drama, flamboyance, noise and looks the Aventador is perfect, but you cannot beat the driving enjoyment of the GT2 RS.
Don't forget performance for the Lamborghini. It might not be its strong point, especially compared to the RS, but for most buyers it'll be mindscramblingly fast in all regards.
If I got to chose between these two? GT2 RS. I know Aventador looks and sounds sensational, but GT2 RS offered more rewarding experience. But my personal choice, money no object, would be 458 Speciale Aperta. You got the looks, the sound, the lightning-fast throttle response, the speed, AND the open-air experience.
Lovecars , good idea. May I suggest you also pit the best drivers cars of different years against each other? Would be interesting to know in which areas improvements were made, or where feel gave way to tech. That Speciale is definitely a candidate.
So what about the lambo who owns the fastest time in nür? I dont think its a poser's car. We are the posers because we are just men who earns enough to pay for internet connection.
Very nice comparison of 2 700BHP beasts. Still can't believe I was following a GT2RS yesterday, it's my new dream car for sure. On the price, it is actually ridiculously cheap for the performance it offers and the overall fun factor. It stole my heart as quickly as it can take turns!
That aventador probably could keep up with it, my 20 year old 150BHP convertible BMW was kind of struggling as you'd expect. Luckily those are sporty enough to forgive taking a corner quickly, mind you I don't have traction control or ESP, just ABS and no roof.
Porsche 911...hands down. It even looks sexier in my opinion. That entire 911 line is unbeatable. The GT2 with all that extra umph.....I mean hell, I wouldn't swap it for anything other than a Koenigsegg....maybe 😈
GT2RS every day of the week, if you have ever been in a GT2 or GT3 around a race track, it is something you never ever forget. I had an R34GTR on that day at the track, I was lapping 2.5 seconds a lap quicker than the 996 GT2RS, but when I went out in the Porsche, i would have swapped 3 of my cars for it in a heartbeat, Porsche is a car you can feel and enjoy like no other car, it oozes precision and engineering in the most amazing way. I have been in a Lambo Hurracan, (No Aventador sadly) and it was quite honestly, a bit souless, yes it sounded cool with the mighty V10 etc, but it seems so..........manufactured, the Porsche feels hand built with a labour of love.
If I were a business man I would go for the GT2 RS since the value will skyrocket in the next years, but the kid in me wants a V12 Lambo. So, Aventador S it is.
Not so sure . It’s turbo charged which is the foreseeable future besides possibly hybrid. The NA cars that are outgoing are more likely to be collectors cars imo
This isn't exactly comparing apples to apples. The Aventador is about the occasion. And for a drivers' car I think the GT3 RS is better. More scalpel than sledgehammer.
I couldn't imagine owning either; the thought of not knowing how to extract their true potential hurts too much. Great machines but the GT2 RS for mine.
I reckon you'll have an easier time getting your hands on an Aventador than a GT2RS without having to pay a premium for the Porsche. They are already going up on the market here in the US for 2x the MSRP a la the 911R. I hate how Porsche artificially restricts the number of units they make to create exclusivity. You end up with cars that no one drives.
Porsche GT2 RS for the ultimate road trip. Whether it's on the race track or highway. No doubt about it! The license plate number (shown at 0:38) on the Lambo would scare me to drive it as intended... lol
Great video, as always! Love'em both, want both, but if I could only have one, I'd take the GT2 RS. For me, I would prefer more 'go' and less 'show'....
The GT2 RS, everyday, i love my 911 C4 and i can only imagine at how much more the GT2 RS is. Only downside to me would be the roll-cage, which i would probably not add so i could fit groceries back there ;)
Best things about this review in my opinion: the scenery, the filming / editing and eventually the cars but sadly not the review itself: other than the data we all already know there is little to tell and put the cars in their wider context and just a continuous flow of speech that strangely says not that much to not go down the even more difficult route of charisma and character that only a few can grasp like Chris H, Henry C and Steve S. But putting this vids up cost time, money and effort and I appreciate that and would rather have this than nothing at all but with the means available much better is possible
Thanks very much for watching and for the feedback. Our videos are aimed to be fun and very much about the whole experience, not just about the car(s). Our presenters follow this ethos on every video, so we're probably not the right channel for you, but appreciate you checking us out. (PS as talented as he is, Henry C and charisma in the same sentence????)
It's funny that he picks the Aventador for driving across country, considering the number of times you'd probably have to stop for repairs. (Italian sports car and all) Give me the Porsche any day.
Lovecars your videography is absolutely ludicrously amazing, I was replying many of the takes multiple times because I thought it was computer generated. First time I've seen one of your videos, and now I'm sticking around.
wpbfls thank you very much. We are soooo small. Normally only 1 cameraman and the same guy edits too. (But keep that secret! 😜) but slowly growing thanks to nice people like you guys 👍👍👍
RS every time! Lamborghini is nice, too.. but it’s so basic and normal, I see them all the time. The Porsche is way more rare and cool to spot when you find one. Not to mention it dominates the track!
Nothing better then taking corners being comfy (gt2rs) drove a gt3rs on the track and omg that was such a ride, had to flash my beams on the 488 Ferrari and the aventador to get out my way for being so slow.
OK, let's have it...! COMMENT BELOW: Porsche 911 GT2 RS or Lamborghini Aventador S 😎
Lovecars I’ll take the Lamborghini over the gt2rs! lets be honest most of us don’t track these cars, although the Porsche are legendary in tracks!

My heart screams Aventador, but my mind says Porsche.
Nice choice!
The Lambo is like a one night stand. The Porsche is the one you marry and live happily ever after...
What?

Even this Pirelli Edition? th-cam.com/video/ienz4VVJ96Q/w-d-xo.html
Definitely Would Take GT2 RS Then Any Aventador Or Hurucan
Has to be the GT2RS. A REAL gearhead’s car
To each his own: lookwise (and for every other reasons), I would take the GT2RS over the Aventador (or any 911 Porsche over Lambos) anyday.
Fair enough. It a very subjective matter
Most people don't even know what kind of a monster the RS is. Only car fans know it's not just a regular 911.
I think the enormous wing might give people some inclination :-)
Paradox that’s good though, you only know if you know. It doesn’t attract the attention of people that think a cool looking car means it’s fast

I could only imagine, if the 911 GT2 RS was to be fitted with a quad-turbo flat 6 powerhouse by default..?
Love the Porsche than Lamborghini. Drive them before. The gt2rs is a v6 Monster and aventador s is an good upgrade of basic aventador
100000% Porsche. It's imo the ultimate sports car
😬
GT2 for track day, time attack lap. Aventador, for cruising on the streets, noise show stopper......very different cars
Sounds good!

Sergio Jimenez thank you

I would take none because i wouldnt know which one to choose, but gt2rs surely will keep the value better so....
Hard to tell. S is going to be pretty much the last of the N/A V12 lambos, so who knows! 👍
If I were a business man I would go for the GT2 RS since the value will skyrocket in the next years, but the kid in me wants a V12 Lambo.
So, Aventador S it is.
hahaha! The kid in us always wins!
GT2 RS is already selling at more than double the original price. But if it was me I would have the Lambo and a GT3
Not so sure . It’s turbo charged which is the foreseeable future besides possibly hybrid. The NA cars that are outgoing are more likely to be collectors cars imo
If we are speaking here about race cars than we have to choose PORSCHE GT2 RS
This isn't exactly comparing apples to apples. The Aventador is about the occasion. And for a drivers' car I think the GT3 RS is better. More scalpel than sledgehammer.
Rob Goff nice analogy! Aventador has huge sense of occasion but also mega GT car. Thanks for the feedback and comments
GT2 RS for sure.
No drag race??!!
Wesam Mansour we were on public roads, as are 99% of our reviews 👍
Wesam Mansour Would not be cool to embarrass Lamborghini on a video
TheAnriii LOOOOL
I couldn't imagine owning either; the thought of not knowing how to extract their true potential hurts too much. Great machines but the GT2 RS for mine.
Gt2Rs definitely, is already a rare car, surely one that will be a classic
It was very impressive!
This is a great channel. If someone told me to pick one and nothing else it would be the GT2RS.
GT2RS For me. But i gotta admit that S looks and sound mean.
Good point!
I'd take the GT2RS over the Aventador every day
You’re not alone with that choice!
The Aventador S is stunning but at the end of the day is just another Lambo. The GT2 RS is just another 911 that you would want to keep forever!
But the last of the N/A V12s...! Good call on the GT2 RS! 👍
It's funny, I like the Porsche much better. Who would want a car that looks like a spaceship, not me!
But when it's this spaceship... th-cam.com/video/ienz4VVJ96Q/w-d-xo.html
GT2RS every time.
If I had that kind of money, the choice would be the GT2RS without a doubt. Reliability and pure driving pleasure over looks and sound.
The Porsche every time for me. Another great review. LoveCars 👏👍🇦🇺
Thanks as always! Good morning to you down under! 😎
What an incredible video! Amazing quality and beautifully shot. I'll take the GT2RS please!
Thank you very much. And nice choice!
I was shocked by how much I was distracted by how well this was shot!! Well done fellas!
Kind of you to say. Thanks!!
Plain simple, 2 beautiful cars. I have a Porsche, incredible car. Would love to try a Lamborghini or Ferrari one day =)
Try the Pirelli Edition: th-cam.com/video/ienz4VVJ96Q/w-d-xo.html
Does it matter at the end of the day, they’re both more awesome than anything I certainly will get to drive
No it doesn’t matter but if we don’t ask the question we won’t get many comments on our page! 😛
Lovecars Ha ha, yeah fair call.
GT2RS IS THE BEST
Porsche GT2 RS for the ultimate road trip. Whether it's on the race track or highway.
No doubt about it! The license plate number (shown at 0:38) on the Lambo would scare me to drive it
as intended... lol
6 6 6 😈
Porsche is the best!
If I have to drive on public roads then I'll get the Aventador S. Sounds amazing and has great presence!
Great choice!
Great video, as always! Love'em both, want both, but if I could only have one, I'd take the GT2 RS. For me, I would prefer more 'go' and less 'show'....
Similar thinking to us. Thanks!
Gt2 for sure, unreal video once again!!
Thank you very much!
Hell of a choice but I think I’d go with the GT2 RS too but not in black.
GT2 RS
GT2 RS is my favorite Porsche
Us too now!
GT2 RS for track and lambo for road
Gt2 is king
👍
The GT2 RS, everyday, i love my 911 C4 and i can only imagine at how much more the GT2 RS is. Only downside to me would be the roll-cage, which i would probably not add so i could fit groceries back there ;)
911 all day. I'd take any GT 911 over any Lamborghini. Lamborghini over regular 911s though.
Yes nice thinking 👍
I actually prefer the fastback looks of the 911.
Nice choice!
GT2 RS Anyday...
Nice choice 👍
(Italian sports car and all)
Give me the Porsche any day.
:|
Oh yes!
Yet another epic video on the most underrated channel on the whole website! No seriously, this channel is so underrated it's actually weird.
Ha!!!! We’re getting there slooooooooooooooooowly!!!!
I'll take the gt2rs even if I prefer naturally aspirated cars ;)
Nice choice! 👍
its like asking to chose between your kids both cars are mind blowing
Ha!
How does this channel not even have 50K subs? The production quality is next level.
RS every time! Lamborghini is nice, too.. but it’s so basic and normal, I see them all the time. The Porsche is way more rare and cool to spot when you find one. Not to mention it dominates the track!
I've never heard the Aventador or Aventador S being referred to "a real driver's car."
GT2RS for sure. The aventador does look incredible in black though👌
For sure!
Porsche for the win.
I have to pick the GT2 RS because it reminds me of a race car and a beautiful work of art
Nothing better then taking corners being comfy (gt2rs) drove a gt3rs on the track and omg that was such a ride, had to flash my beams on the 488 Ferrari and the aventador to get out my way for being so slow.
I'd chose the 911 for the track and the road ANY day.
Gt2 RS probably for the genius
