      The shame is on you if you can’t differentiate between the gravity of the lie from Khan to what Balakrishnan is doing for safety and well-being for all. So what even if CPC can assess the tracetogether , if you are not a criminal, what do you have to fear? If you’re going to geylang at night and didn’t want your wife to know, then don’t turn on your tracer. There’s a Chinese saying, if you didn’t do anything wrong, there’s nothing to fear. If I were Vivian, I won’t even bother to apologise, just tell it straight to parliament that there’s nothing wrong with police using the tracer to trace criminals, finally even PS agreed with him.

I was stopped by the security guard and brought to the office. He asked me why I stole the noodles and asked me for my particulars. However, I said I didn’t steal anything, but I deeply regret for the mistake, anguish and inconvenience caused. I would take full responsibility for this. I told him the noodles are not meant for me, it is for my neighbour’s kids who had no money to eat. It iwas to save lives, I said pls look at the bigger picture and I had nothing to hide. The lockdowns are just an excuse. Actually since 1990s, most economies worldwide are running via debt financing and as of 2020, it became simply impossible to continue adding new debts to finance the old.
      So they just gave a pandemic as a backdrop to let economies crash so that folks don't rebel en masse.
      The generation from 1950-1980 ate up ALL their resources AND also ate up resources for at least 2 generation's via extensive austentatious displays of wealth and by excessive speculation driving up costs like mad for youth.
      The Singaporeans of the 1920s that built Singapore and the Singaporeans that were born in the 50s and took over in 80s, 90s etc are TOTALLY 2 different breeds of species.
      Lockdowns happened to hide the fact new debt can't finance old debt no more.

      @@tskuan32 What I mean is because it can be manipulated or just turned off, makes it an unreliable source and given that there is no location data, it would be hard to refute it. I could hide my registered phone in a public location and it is going to register with a few hundred strangers. and if that clears a suspect on the onset, it would slow the investigation. I think assuming ppl who commit high crimes don't read the news is a mistake. You might think it would help the police, but it just might help the criminals equally as well. You might catch the dumb ones but you would help the smart ones roam even more freely. That's my opinion anyway.

      @@justintimeleave1360 Your thought process is garbled and convoluted. Among the many assumptions you have, you assume detectives are dumb. A simple way of thinking about this, instead of your "critical" thinking, is that ONE MORE tool is better than NONE. Nobody is asking the police to rely on just the TT token. Also, I believe our detectives can think much more clearly than you assume.

    • @justintimeleave1360
      @justintimeleave1360 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@tskuan32 unfortunately, it is not about the intelligence of the detectives but just what the data itself is able to capture. The tool you are speaking of is going to expire after covid regardless. so even if the police depends on it now, Is the govt going to continue increased surveillance on Singaporeans? This short term thinking makes no sense. It either short sightedness or a massive infringement on privacy rights. Regardless the damage on citizen trust has already been done.

      If the Law empower the police to do so, then they are allowed to access this data. After all, PDPA also part of the legislation. If they are not, they would need to have the permission from the owner like you said. An example would be installing CCTVs at the neighborhood, but of course, it is lesser 'private' information if you compare CCTV vs TT.
