My favourite is "Tunnel of Love" for its refence to "The Spanish City" in Whitley Bay. I remember it from my time working in Newcastle in 1966. Blessed Friday nights in The Spanish City.

British group, Dire Straits, with true talent, no gimmicks, no theatrics. Just talent. Holding Back the Years, Simply Red. Great song! Make sure you do the video version, and check out the story to the song. It’s about the vocalists life, Mick Hucknall. A bit of blue eyed soul in that one.
I still love Simply Red. Mick Hucknall's voice is still amazing. I also love their songs Money's too Tight To Mention and the remake "If You 'Dont Know Me By Now."

Hey, guys. Great that you reacted to this, but the signature moment is at the end (video cuts that off.) Audiences always CHEER when he gets to that. You may even remember having heard it before!
Holding Back the Years is amazing. One of my all-time favorites. Nobody sings like Mick Hucknall of Simply Red. Some great trumpet work in their too. He wrote the song when he was 17. It’s about his mother leaving when he was little and how missing her affected his childhood. Watch the original music video, not one of the live performances.
Simply Red is one of my all time favourite bands. Mick's voice is unbelievable, saw them live here in Hong Kong & couldn't believe he sounded better live than on a CD! 🤯
I had to watch it twice. First time, I was watching the video, because I don't think I've seen it before. Second time, was just to watch you guys. All the heads & shoulders start movin at the same time. But later, when ya got the fire extinguishers out....I was crackin up but lovin it too.
