To those who are stuck at 98.33% completion, re-do all friend activities. It is kind of annoying to re-do it but its worth it. I was at 98.33% also and I finally realized what the problem was. The friend activities is whats holding you back, I'm 99.9% sure. TRUST ME!

@Mr Random Tops y Más every GTA games before GTA IV can do that too and you don't even need 100% completion to do that. And also every time you load the game, the ammo that was over the original limit will be lost. So it's pointless to obtain 100% completion in this game.

And there's a bug that if you finish this mission (ex : Grand Theft Aero) before finish this mission (ex : Two-Face Tanner) then you'll never 100% completion in this game. yeah this game sucked for 100% completion. the tasks were boring and you had no rewards at all. sure the previous games had a lot of collectibles, especially san andreas, but with san andreas you had the collectibles spread out around different cities except for the oysters, and each collectible gave you a great reward, which for me made the list feel smaller even though in reality you had to get 250 collectibles to 100% the game, plus you had a reason to get the collectibles because of the great rewards, which was especially true in GTA 3 because you got an infinite supply of every gun in the game plus a million dollars when you got all 100 hidden packages. they were also extremely fun to get in my opinion.
The problem is that most people let secondary missions after complete the game, like San Andreas or GTA3/VC ... if you do every secondary mission the game let you do before start the game, you can enjoy your rewards a lot more, specially in san andreas

But then, I went through all of them without skipping anything (but you can surely use a Taxi though) and wrote down everything I've done (btw, you need to win all activities like Pool, Bowling etc.) Until I have wrote down every single activity with all friends. Do it with Brucie, Little Jacob and Packie until you get your missing 1,66%. Trust me, it works!
The % per completion required in the description was a life saver. I have no f***ing idea why this isn't listed anywhere else. With the stuff I know was done shown in stats, I was able to figure out why I had 95.83% instead of 97.5% with "everything completed" except pigeons(2.5%). Some how even with 2 full checklists I didn't go to the strip club with Packie/I loaded a save before I did by accident because the game doesn't load autosaves. Extra note, I only figured this out by guessing that the game gives you half of the % completion when you have completed half of the objective and then gives you the full% when it's done and that was true!

i think maybe you are missing one of the friends special gifts (heliservice brucie, weapons LJ, bombs packie) - you get them when the "like" from every one of them is over a distinct level. one special gift counts with 1,66%, so it might be that... ;)
edit: I got the platinum of GTA IV on January of 2021, I think it's my most respectable platinum trophy I will ever have, mainly because of the online trophies.
Made it to 100% in 2024.01.14. (Steam: GTA 4 Complete Edition) The 200 pigeons was the most painful. The guide videos helped a lot, but 1 thing annoyed me a little. When doing the stunt jumps the water jumps should follow each other, going back to find a boat again took me a while.
you have to steal an infernus for stevie - and the infernus for stevie respawns every time you NOT deliver it to the garage - so you can fill up all your parking space with infernuses (that is a max. of 10 infernus-cars, because the parking-space in front of the broker-safehouse is even keeping your cars after "roman's sorrow" and the parking-space in front of playboy Xs mansion is available even if you kill dwayne forge) before you deliver one in the garage to succed the SMS-cars to gain 100%.

And the fingerless gloves yea they are not in the game,they are in the games files but not in the game. Waste of time killing all pigeons
I really hope that if we decide to get 100% for GTA 5, there's more rewards then just an Trophy/Achievement and removal of the ammo capacity. The rewards should be like: $1,000,000 Infinite Ammo Michael, Franklin, and Trevor each get their own Special Outfit A unique vehicle that's Bullet-Proof or Damage-Proof or anything else that's unique Your Special Ability lasts longer by 25% And then throw in the Trophy/Achievement These are real rewards, and hopefully we get something like this

Sometimes, some characteres of "random characters sub-mission" have 2 missions. If you make 1 mission only of all them, you win the trophy "No more strangers" But for the 100% completion you have to do all the 2 missions. Check this out, man. I hope i helped you. Bye. -From Brazil.

100% is impossible without stealing cars - your must steal 40 cars for stevie and brucie and have to steal a few cars in the main missions too (for vlad and brucie). but the other idea is good: setting own restrictions like never buing some ammo or never take a taxi.
Old comment but I'll reply anyway. You have to get your remaining points down to 40 or lower and then hit a double on the last throw. The best way to grind out the first 260 points is by throwing triple 20's because it removes 60 points per throw, you can get 180 in one turn if you hit 3 triple 20's. But the last throw has to be a double or it won't count.
rockstar, thanks so much for never having patched Stevie's text message glitch. you've only had close to a decade to fix it. as a result %100 percent is unattainable now(excluding starting over) but why care right???? its not your time wasted. nor will i waste any of my time with any future games you put out

Doing it now, and I roughly completed all required friend hangouts while passing the game by default. Silent mod on your phone is a Godsent. Stunt jumps were annoying because of how often I lost health on those. And right now what I'm stuck on is the car thefts for Stevie because it takes forever for him to text me back with his next request.

You don't need to buy ammo, I completed the storyline with only picking up weapons from pick-ups around the city.
I never bought ammo or armor in any GTA, always picked up free spawns

Ya hice las del modo historia, la de los personajes aleatorios,saltos acrobaticos,mas buscados,vigilante,ratas voladoras,misiones de jacob,exotic xports,carreras de brucie,asesinatos,carros de stevie,todos los amigos los tengo con el porcentaje debido,gane las actividades, lo unico que pudo pasar es que no se guardo bien algun progreso o quien sabe :'(
Usaste trucos? Tengo entendido que si llegas a usarlos no puedes obtener el 100% aunque hayas hecho todo

@@strangescott90 No es así, el camino al 100% no está interrumpido. Lo único a lo que afectan los trucos es que no puedes sacar 5 trofeos específicos al usarlos.
Me ocurre lo mismo, esto es una m*erda. Llevo muchisimas horas probando cosas todo el rato pero ni modo, tengo un 98,33. Lo has podido solucionar?🤔
recuerda que debes hacer cada actividad en específico con todos los personajes,llevalos a sus lugares favoritos de cada actividad para asegurar y recuerda ganar en el pool dardos bowling

100% is impossible without stealing cars - your must steal 40 cars for stevie and brucie and have to steal a few cars in the main missions too (for vlad and brucie). but the other idea is good: setting own restrictions like never buing some ammo or never take a taxi.

Old comment but I'll reply anyway. You have to get your remaining points down to 40 or lower and then hit a double on the last throw. The best way to grind out the first 260 points is by throwing triple 20's because it removes 60 points per throw, you can get 180 in one turn if you hit 3 triple 20's. But the last throw has to be a double or it won't count.
rockstar, thanks so much for never having patched Stevie's text message glitch. you've only had close to a decade to fix it. as a result %100 percent is unattainable now(excluding starting over) but why care right???? its not your time wasted. nor will i waste any of my time with any future games you put out

@@bigskullnobrain6303 if you have your cell phone on "do not disturb" when Stevie calls to give you the side mission, then he doesn't call back a second time. thats why its misable. didn't know that when i initially played through. thats why some players get %100, and some are locked out. never patched by rockstar

at least this game along with its dlc and gta sa had better side missions, hobbies and pastimes even better parkour than gta5

you can make your ammo 9999 with the ammo cheat on your phone, it also stays on 9999 making it infinite. :)

Doing it now, and I roughly completed all required friend hangouts while passing the game by default. Silent mod on your phone is a Godsent. Stunt jumps were annoying because of how often I lost health on those. And right now what I'm stuck on is the car thefts for Stevie because it takes forever for him to text me back with his next request.
You can very much sleep in the safehouse as stevie texts you after 6 hours
