This is the first time I try diy apps so I had no idea what to expect. If these apps are good, this would be a life hack to saving money on spending on craft kits that would take up too much space. Are they as good as real Pottery? Paint by number? Cross Stitching? I will review and let you know.

I used to use that pottery app for years cause it was relaxing to me even thought it’s kinda unrealistic was still cool.

It's a thing English does to define 'we borrowed this thing from another culture/language but already have a different definition for the direct translation'. perler beads are specifically the melty ones, chai tea is spiced tea with milk, naan bread is a specific type of bread, etc. Note also that the vast majorities of large deserts are basically named Desert Desert. Gobi, Sahara, etc.
Oh my gosh, the pottery one used to be ALL the rage in my middle school lol. One girl had an iPad and we were all obsessed with taking turns and creating our vases.

On the paint by number. I actually had the app for a while last year. The special is different as it has shading. The ones that don't have special are just blocks of colour. No shading. Hope that helps.

Pocket World 3D was so relaxing. Had me hooked for weeks.
Had me hooked for months-
I played the Let's Create! Pottery game and when you do the missions there are little starts at the bottom of the refrence photo that tell you if you've got the shape and color right.
If you have 5 stars then you've got it perfect it you've got 1 star you've got it wrong
Pocket world 3d, the levels get a lot more intricate the further you go, my son loves the game

The pottery game let's you order actual pottery pieces of what you create in the app. I think that comes in the full version, though.

I have a tendency to feel whatever my characters are feeling...
Ex. If I'm drawing an angry character I tend to scrunch my face up. If they have a balled up fist I ball up the one I'm not using.
Ex. Happy character, I can't help but smile when drawing. Even if I'm not particularly happy at the moment.
Do you draw a lot of angry characters? Maybe that's why you rage draw.
I can't be the only one who does this.
@@christinasanderford5849 Well I only rage when I draw bc I can't figure out how to recreate something. Ex: I use a template, I dont want to trace it so I try to recreate it. What ends up happening is I quit then I come back later and end up tracing it... yes, I do trace templates but I usually don't for other things on my character.

I really enjoyed the app I Love Hue. I don't know if it could be classified as a crafting app, but it's sorting color tiles into spectrums. I found it incredibly relaxing and satisfying.
Jackie when you’re playing cross stitch you can just press the back arrow to get rid of mistakes without paying. 😅

Same. I haven't had to spend any money in it, and it's just something to do with my hands while I watch TH-cam videos when I don't want to focus on a real craft project. (the galaxy ones are my favorite)

Each of us have individual talents or gifts, I love cross stitching, and crocheting, but I can't knit to save my life! I like the idea of sculpting, but haven't been brave enough to atempt sculpting yet, same with painting. So I understand your lack of interest in yarn or stitch art. 😉
Funny, I can knot, but keeping tension in crochet seems beyond me.

I had the pottery app for ages and it’s sooooo good, I really enjoyed playing it. I don’t remember all the details so I may be incorrect, but. I remember lots of different patterns to buy with the money you make, and there are more email requests. I don’t thinkkkkk I remember there being a lite version, I defo never paid for a “pro” game.
I think there was a bit of time where they made the pro version free I think it was either an anniversary for the app or a thanks for a ton of downloads 🤔
Yeah you can only buy a certain number of colors/patterns with the coins you make auctioning off your pottery, but after you buy all the colors/patterns w/ game coins... (make so many pieces of pottery that you feel like you've made every combination possible). You would have to A. go premium to unlock the other stuff not available without an actual in-app- purchase or B. Delete it. I chose B a long time ago, it just got boring.

I really love Pocket world 3D, I find it super relaxing. The best advice I can give you is to start from the inside and then start finding your way to the outside of the environment, that way you don't get to those blind spots Jackie found.

See, I have that cross stitch app, and I really like it. I find it very relaxing and fun, I agree that it is basically a color by number, but I enjoy it more than other color by number apps. Also, the paying coins to fix mistakes is completely optional, that's why the yellow hook has sparkles on it.

I love paint by number, I have had it for a long while, there are special ones, and ones with no special textures, and I was also worried about the gems, but they are really nothing to worry about. Yeah sometimes it is annoying, but it is really fun honestly.

I LOVE the cross stitching one, is very relaxing to do while doing something else, like watching a show or listening to an audiobook. It's easy enough to don't distract you from the main activity. Although, I'm going to try the Attiland one

If you want a pixel based art app that takes a bit more thought, I really like Picross/Nonograms! I have the "Two Eyes - Nonogram" app and enjoy it when I'm bored and don't have much else to do.

Cross stitch world is my jam and I do actual cross stitch too. I find the app so relaxing at bedtime now that my eyesight is less than stellar. Actual stitching is for daytime!

I have the first game and I love it. Was excited to see it as one of them.
I’ve been playing it for several months now, and there’s still so many levels, and they add new each week. I’ll be amazed if I ever manage to complete them all. They even add new levels each week plus there’s often special events.
And the best part is that it’s actually free to play. It’s not even energy based like a lot of games (event levels are, but not regular levels), so there’s no “buy more energy to play more levels”.
I was surprised to hear that you thought it has clunky controls though, I’ve never experienced that myself.
This kinda sounds like an ad, but I promise it’s not 😂 I just genuinely love this game 😂 excited to see what the rest of them are!

cross stitch world is my jam. I've been playing it for 4 years now! and i still play every day! you can make your own pictures into cross stitch work of art, you get money every day just for signing in, you also get money each time you complete a picture. You move up level and you can use the money to buy new pictures to do. If you don't have enough money you can just do your own pictures from your photos. Its addictive. Much better than the cross stitch app you tried. you can also double click on the color and it takes you directly to the space you need to be in. and its free to delete your mistakes and it tells you how many blocks of each number there is. its amazing.
