- We bought a new boat! Technically it's a used boat but it's a new boat for the StanzFam! It's a 23' Hurricane Deck Boat which some people call a "mini van"! After launching the boat I take you for a walk through on it and then I share some more news at Bud n' Mary's Marina! Hope you enjoy!

That is an awesome family truckster,,, LOL... From a IN laker they're awesome. Dad bought a 21' in 1978, they had just become the rage at the time... I ran that boat thru the early 2000's... we were insane water skiers and barefooters, nothing wrong with a family deck boat!!!

no guys the speedo went out , the tachometer is still working and u trim out the motor and raise or lower the jack plate to fine tune rpms to top spedd from lessening the drag but u have jack poles for stablizing the boat in shallow thats why aint no anchor cause the stabilizer holds u when ur in shallow and want to fish or decide to hang out on some sweet shore beach u find or a sand bar to party but yeah that boat is sick.. id need maybe 250 plus merc or somthing even yam just have a need for speed but so much room abaord i dig lay out.

Nice family boat. You’ll get years of fun out of it with the kids. BOL
Three things remembered from boat ownership. Boats need constant maintenance. When trailering. Rest the boat for at least a 1/2 hour before launching so the bearings in the trailer's hubs have a chance to cool off. Last but not least always. Alway spray corrosion inhibitor everywhere. Even if it looks like it's not needed.
Do those things and there is a very good likelihood that it will resell for more then you paid for it.

Great boat! I missed one real close to that in North Idaho last Fall.
I saw Bud n Mary's passing thtough our 1st trip to the Keys in February. There's a Bud n Mary's Marina between Ponderay and Hope on Lake Pen d' Oreille in North Idaho...

that boat will keep you busy for a while. the wiring contacts are not in prime conditions. you may try the CRC contact cleaner or similar thing, spray the copper contact pins inside those sockets and plugs, you know the drills. and seem there is one thing missing? RADIO. not that fm radio to listen music, but the radio to talk to other boats. that's an insurance ticket when your iPhone is wet. some hand held are pretty good nowadays, it save a lot of time drilling holes and wiring on your boat.

Funny thing is that I have a 91 hurricane deckboat, the speedometer quit working, and the bilge just went out....but the motor runs like a champ lol.
