This is meant as a helpful suggestion. Fellow Australians will easily understand every word you say. Those of us who are not Aussies struggle. So, if you really want likes, slow the verbals down a tad and make sure every word is easily understood. It's all about professionalism. Otherwise, keep up the good work. I don't see how you can go wrong as a shirtless, good-looking young guy in exotic locations.
so much love for you videos!! Im currently in a uni course that I’m not much enjoying, thinking about doing something like you are! Travellin round and experiencing life. much appreciation for your videos, helps so much with my perspective on wanting to leave uni 😃🙂🙂
Australian guys are so incredibly attractive, made even more so by their accent! This video will certainly not encourage me to travel to Albania, but it certainly makes me want to visit Australia!
Great to see, interesting content.., I lived north of there but we never knew much about Albania..it's becoming a destination.. looking forward to seeing more. Sorry you guy didn't recover your stuff in Prague...
Sam, I know it takes a lot of time and energy to create these videos for us to enjoy. Appreciate you taking us along the journey, buddy. Traveling alone can already be taxing, then you have to edit, upload, and all that. So here's to 10k subs, then 100k then 1 million then world domination, haha :) Cheers! Here for ya llll the fn way.
The city or town at the start looked like a sparser version of some places in Czechia -- especially the Communist-era high-rise in the distance against all the small homes (and then the sheep).
I am interested in Albania, as a Hungarian I haven't been there and I learned British English 40 years ago, so I must read the text also to understand you. In automn I would like to travel to Bosnia. István (Steven)
@@camnsprencheria3225 Sam, being American, we'r not that good with accents. Plus, my speakers are shit.. Please don't let that bother you. I wish I could retract that comment. The goal was NOT to mess with you. Sorry, dude!.
You being an Aussie probably won't care about this but Albania isn't the most favourable country in Europe to the LGBTQ+ community...it ranks in the bottom 50% of European countries for discrimination......28th of 49......If you are doing a travel vlog...then you have to make 'ALL' people aware of the beauty as well as the dangers....Countries and business's that discriminate against my community...don't deserve our money.
Actually 28th of 49 is much better than I would have guessed, considering it is the only Muslim majority country in Europe. Who are the other 20?????? As a gay traveler myself, I'm not going to simply boycott all the countries in the world that arent pro-gay, because that includes virtually every country on the African continent, as well as parts of Russia, China.
There is very little known about Albania and Albanians, unfortunately. This is likely due to the influence of movies and double standards when reporting news, which tend to focus only on the negative aspects of a society. However, there are many positive things to say about Albania and its people. For example, Albania is the only country in the world where 47% of the population is Muslim, 18% are Atheists/Agnostics, and 35% are Catholic or Orthodox, and yet all of these groups live in peace and celebrate and respect each other's beliefs. This is a remarkable achievement, and it is a testament to the religious tolerance of the Albanian people. In addition, Albania has a long and rich history. Its civilization is at least as old as ancient Greece, and its language is unique. The Albanian national hero, Scanderbeg, fought the Ottoman Empire for 25 years, preventing European countries from turning Muslim. His statues can be found all over Europe, and he is even honored in Vatican documents. These are just a few of the many positive things that can be said about Albania and its people. It is a country with a rich history, a diverse population, and a strong sense of religious tolerance. I have never seen any reports of bullying or violence toward the gay community in Albania. I would have been the first one to protest. Just recently a gay couple got married on top of Tirana Municipality, nobody shot them 😅 BTW both my favorite singers are Gay lol I hope my message came through. You can't judge without visiting for yourself. I dare you to take the risk.
@@vendumsica It has long been the poorest country in Europe, had one of the most closed societies under Hoxha, and as the only near-majority Muslim country in Europe hasnt exactly progressed very much.
@TedATL1 Not so closed. My parents watched Italian TV every day for years, as everyone else did in that period. They risked their lives for that. It makes me laugh when I hear people talking about Islam as an issue since my being Orthodox never bothered anyone. In Albania, we identify as Albanians, not by our religion. The relationship with God is very personal. (BTW, the Orthodox Church faces the mosque in Albania.) I feel like we could give lessons to anyone in the world about religion! True, Albania is one of the poorest countries in Europe, but keep in mind that when the communist regime fell in 1991, no so-called Western countries helped with their experience in democracy, politics, or the economy. We were left the way we were, so many people left the country, resulting in the largest Albanian diaspora. A lot of suffering and discrimination.... As a result, the majority of Albanians are polyglots and have studied and worked abroad.
I can't speak for the others but I'd have to guess they are all different! Considering they are separate nations... different cultures, environment, and full of incredible people :)
mate, this video was gorgeous. thank you for sharing.

It was once said, "If Italy is a boot, Albania is what it stepped in." Check your map.
Loved Italy! But loved Albania more - nothing underrated about the former! But great place
Most Albanians, Italians, and Greeks share the same DNA, though not the same language.
Sam, where is your accent from? My Canadian friends believe you have a British accent. The Ozzies believe you are East European.
Im Australian!!
@@SamWitness Thanks for the prompt reply. It made us chuckle here. The two Ozzies that are here could not recognize your accent, hahahaha. All good.
It's Australian, but not typical Australia. Maybe from living outside Australia.?
Not just Australian, but a PROUD Western Australian………you go Sam! Love this video of Albania.❤

Is Albania still a Muslim country?
I think it's about 50% muslim...
Beautiful vlog, thank you very much for showing the beauty of my country
Thankyou 🤝

Albania is the third poorest country in the world
Lol. Not even CLOSE!
