OMG the memories from the 60's testing my non-silenced PAW 3.2cc in my Dad's shed... Letting the 'plane go off into the wild blue yonder and hoping it would gently spiral back to me. Usually followed by a LONG walk... You guys have made my day!
A great company, founded by a great engineer. Still have my little PAW from years ago ... they just keep on going. The smell of them takes me back to my childhood.
Good to see that we still make things in this country, and that the engine tester still has four fingers and a thumb! I have one of those old school Smith!s tachometers in my tool cabinet.
Me too! They said in the caption they were made with CNC machines, but all I saw was old manual machines. Either way they are beautifully made. I'd feel completely at home working in a little shop like that.
Hermos establecimiento!! Viejo estilo muy interesante video , soy tornero desde los 12 años y se apreciar la mecánica , en especial de pequeño tamaño !!! Los felicito ,!!!!! Desde Argentina un Gran Abrazo Mecánico!!!!!!!
I had a paw 049 on my 2 channel rookie glider when I was 14 fast forward 30 years and my Daughter getting into rc flying I took her to the child hood memories of free flights and went daft , we have lots of free flights aswel now and mostly powered by PAW 049 we have 12 of these now different coloured heads etc love them
I absolutely love my P.A.W TBR RC .40 I don't run it that often but I love it when it do. It stinks yard out but I don't care. These engines are beautifully crafted and very reliable.
10 minute walk from my house. Used to use their engines as a kid in the early 70s. PAW engines were the holy grail of control line model aircraft, clearly they're still very popular! 🇬🇧
Always loved PAW's products but I cannot get fuel for them in my area so I haven't added any to my collection. Almost wonder how hard it would be to run one on glow fuel with a different head fitted. Hmm...

How nice that there are still companies making model airplane engines. This is real aeromodelling. Keep up the good work!!! Greetings from Colombia
I used to enjoy these diesels for control Line flying @ 1.34 the old diesel flick.
Good to see PAW is still alive.

Awesome I worked with Gig in the late 1950's and early '60's not much seems to have changed - I still have some of my early engines - brilliant
Good video. I wish you could go back and show some of the machines they use and the process of making an engine start to finish.

Love watching these little guys run. Such cool pieces of kit. 👍🏼 Nice job with the editing on this one.

Quick fact, the guy test running all the engines name is nubs.

So envious of your tour - what a pleasure to watch!
So nice to see a small company make killer engines. Keep up the great work !!!!!!!!
Excellent video, Let's hope that he leaves some legacy of knowledge so that he can continue making those engines that are undoubtedly a work of art.
I used to have a PAW 19 Combat Special in the early 60`s, long gone now but still have a 2.5 in very good condition.
Classic stuff. It almost makes me want to go back to these little screamers...
Absolutely amazing
I still remember my first engine 1.5 cc and the smell of ether.
Excellent stuff, I can just smell the ether!!!!
Great video!!!! I've collected one PAW so far I think. I would LOVE to buy one direct from the factory!!!!!!
I had expected to see how they were machined not just tested. Wonder if he does his own càsting.
yes he does !
u can visit the factory
I didn't think you could even get the fuel for these engines any more. Facinating to see the workshops.
Loved my PAW 80!
Where is the location.? Should visit here
Lovely to see - I wanted to see that two cylinder one running! Could actually smell the oil!
Still have my .19.
Woohoo ... that comp special must have beendoing close to 20K revs. Amazing.
It reminded me of the sound of a Cox TD😀
@@jimbo2629 no , itz sound is very very different from a cox teedee,...i prefer the diesel performance overall
That guy is mint at tuning an engine and still has all his fingers to
I was just thinking this.
This gent can tune an engine in his sleep! 👍

Muy muy buen vídeo. Me gusta mucho todo lo relativo a motores de Aeromodelismo.
Tachometer was something i had never seen!!
Wow... Really interesting!!! 😃
Great to see the big multi nationals have not swallowed this company.
It's my dream to have one little engine...🛩️

Where is that company placed???
Whats the name????
Its in the UK, and it is called PAW (Progress Aero Works)
@@benkramer3194 thanks for information
It’s in Macclesfield, the geographical centre of the universe :)

C6 Modellsport paw did make glow versions . Try contacting them .
Dead easy, kerosene 53%, Diesel Starter (John Deere or Kleen-Flo is best) 25%, single grade motor oil 20%, IPN 2%. Brraaawww
Bet the neighbors complain about the smell emanating from the shop. Wives are particularly sensitive to diesel fuel residue smell
Swap the wife!
I have been there, I do not think there is a woman within five miles
I can almost smell them
👍
Deja vu
Outstanding craftsmanship, really full marks!
Safety practices? Ah, yeah a bit less... say 4 out of five fingers?
They have been flipping these fekkers for forty years and appear to be anatomically correct
Is it just me or does old glow fuel smell like those old Expo markers?
this is no glow engine....diesel fuel smell quite like shit...some people like it....me not...u smell like a barrel crude oil with a pinch of ether
Sad sad man. Very sad man! If I could bottle that smell, I'd make a fortune.
@@glyndowning3076 I think Pirmin started that Company that tried to make moccasins out of Coochees, guaranteed to last forever
🤟👍
Hummmmmm
HOW to make the fuel? Can you show me the percentage.
It is not critical...25% Ether Meths, 20% Motor Oil, 53% Kerosone or DERV, 2% IPN (Isopropylnitrate).
