These mods make the truck....the gear swap brings back the lively feeling the stock height truck had...the transmission work allows the full power of the engine to be quickly transferred to the ground.It must feel like a different truck...love how it grabbed 2nd on the 1/2 gear change.....looks like Chester county really knows what there doing everything came out great. I like the direction you went using a local reputable builder and parts, way cheaper than a full blown Suncoast stage 4 or 5. I helped build my cousins stage 4 Allison and it was the same type of build local shop job came out great cost cousin under 2100.00 all in.. it held twins dual fuelers and 60 over from the SoCal Diesel engine.

Hahaha if don’t want to drop 8k on a trans buy a 6.7 Ford.
I’ve got a ram with the 6.7 with 60k miles on it never pulled heavy but you can tell it really doesn’t like anything more than like 50 Hp thrown at it. At that point it’s still not as fast as a stock 6.7 powerstroke and the transmission will always beak a very expensive weak point. Also know that the ram with the 68rfe has single sided clutch plates giving you a 50% reduction in surface material. I don’t own a truck with an aisin so I can’t say anything about that. If they didn’t have this transmission they would be great. The deal is I can repair an engine but I can’t build a transmission. Just something to think about. Now some good points you can take a hill around 900-1200 rpm no problem keep in mind rotation torque and horsepower. Even though you’ll climb at those rpm you move really slow make sure and test drive ford dodge and Chevy and buy the one you like. Other nice thing with the ram fuel mileage, disregard all the claims out there of 20+ mpg all horse shit. With a mild tune you’ll get about 16-19 mpg city highway mix. I run about 1000 miles a week in my truck so I chose the ram over the 6.7 ford which is about 13.5-14.5 mpg however they are speed demons and will just flat out kick a Cummins ass in speed and you can get just shy of 600 hp with a tuner also you don’t have to worry about your transmission like a toothpick. You’ll also need about 20k more to get the ford which was another reason I didn’t get one. Oh and the ram turbo brake is probably the coolest thing since sliced bread.

No retune, but you’ll want to do a trans relearn, because your shift points will change.
@@BEASTProjects Did you have to do that through HPP or there at CCT? I'm really considering coming out and doing a gear swap. I have the sonnex, drum, custom valve body with billet lower, billet imput shaft and flex plate, suncoast triple disk converter. I just want to be prepared with tuning or whatever.
CCT did it w/ a SnapOn diagnostic tool.

I have a 2010 dodge 1/2 ton Hemi. Anybody have any recommendation for a place I can order a transmission that would be better than stock my stock transmission is still fine but I’d like to have a company lined out so when the time comes I can be ready to go.
In your case, I would find a reputable transmission shop like Chester County Transmissions & have them overhaul it w/ upgrades.
