Most impressive playing from this pianist. His clarity in repeated note passages is remarkable. The fingers like pistons. Orchestra and conductor contributions are so very well judged. This is a powerful, dynamic, and MUSICAL performance. This period of time was so difficult for performers and audiences alike. To make this terrific performance reality was an accomplishment. I hope more TH-camrs check this out. Thanks for posting this!
The orchestra’s soloist performed admirably in the Symphonic Dances. Collectively, this is a very fine orchestra, lovingly conducted. Bravo.
This is among the best Rach 2's, and one of the most poetic and refined nocturne in C# minor that I've ever heard. True genius, as befitting one of the greatest Van Cliburn winners.

This orchestra and conductor are surely inspired by the soloist. And the camera work is right on. Those shots have to be pulled before the music gets there and then to cut to the instruments. This cannot be directed. It has to be done by the one in control of the cameras. I’m happy. 👏🌸🌺👐💯🍂👀🌻

I have the Chopin cd by Lang Lang, which includes the nocturn in c-sharp minor (the anchor piece ).
First I listened Lang Lang's play, and listened Zhang's play.
I really loved the both, and Haochen Zhang has become one of my favourite pianists !

I should add… beautiful intonation throughout.
This is a sumptuous production with beautiful camera work and brilliant performances. However, there should be English subtitles for the interview with the conductor and the pianist. It is almost worth learning Chinese to hear those comments! Since China now has the best TV production teams and musicians, these videos should be made to cater for a global audience.

楊洋的指揮一點都不感覺有激情，所以整個曲子顯得懶散。張昊辰錯了好幾個音，但總體很優秀。
很美很细腻 但拉二还是朗朗的更胜一筹
