The day before making his New York Philharmonic debut at the annual Lunar New Year concert, pianist Haochen Zhang sat down at NYC's Steinway Hall with WQXR host Elliott Forrest to describe moments and to play pieces from stages in his musical journey - from his days as a child prodigy in Shanghai to winning the gold medal at the Cliburn Competition in 2009, to his present international touring career as one of the most in-demand soloists of his generation.
