    I think the most legitimate point on here is that people like Goldberg or Trish, who are great in their own right, should not be put in any Hall of Fame before Guys like Junkyard Dog or Curt Hennig.

    Quit frankly...the Hall of Fame should be a place for the elite and truly elite. There is plenty of mediocrity in there.

    Any more info about the Brody/Curry match?

      Brody felt that Curry was too old (and small) to sell for, so he was extremely unprofessional -- quelle surprise! -- sold nothing and worked extremely stiff.

    I always prefered the PWHF method of inducting its members. They break it down into two pioneer wrestlers, pre-TV wrestlers like Farmer Burns and Tom Jenkens, two early TV era, Lou Thesz and Junk Yard Dog, two modern era, post 80s names like Hulk Hogan and Stone Cold Steve Austin, a women's, an international, a tag team, and non wrestling categories, manager, referee, and executive. It always gives a good variety and actually gives a reason for the old guys to get their recognition. Plus it inducted Sky Low Low, the first midget popular enough to get a macro version of himself. Suck that Mascarita Dorada.

    Did they just say Perfect is in danger of being dropped? Curt Hennig. Mr. Perfect. That has to be wrong. He's obviously a Hall of Famer easily.

    I have wanted Bill Dundee in the WWE hof for years, but, hey, it’s the wwe, they do stupid things.
    I was listing to Jim Cornette pod cast and thought I’d check you’re the wrestling observer hof.
    Much to my surprise, I couldn’t find Bill Dundee. I understand wwe making such a sorry mistake,
    but had always considered The Wrestling Observer legit.
    Any H.O.F. is not legit, and doesn’t mean anything if they leave out competitors like Bill.
    What are the reasons you feel Bill doesn’t qualify ? Is it his personality ?
    Listen, I am from Tennessee, and am an extremely qualified pro wrestling historian.
    AJ Styles ???? Kenny Omega ?????? Give me a break.
    Bill Dundee -
    Booker - A+
    Performer - A+
    Teacher - A+
    Writing Finishes - A+
    He carried every match he has ever been in, including , Billy Robinson, Nick Bockwinkle, Nelson Royal, Tony Charles, Jerry Lawler, Dutch Mantell, Austin Idol.
    Heal or Face
    Who do you think was telling the Midnight Express Jim Cornette, and the Rock & Roll express what to do ??
    It was Bill Dundee. Anyone who thinks Bill Dundee doesn't need to be in all HOF's, is seriously showing their deficiency in wrestling history knowledge .

      Excellent observation!! Being from Nashville, and watching from late 70's through the early 90's, Dundee and Lawler with Fargo and Jarrett as mentors are WRONGLY being left out.

      Realistically though he's not going to be in all Hall Of Fames especially for promotions where he never wrestled though conceivably he could get in WWE's at some point.

    • @networkessentials2911
      @networkessentials2911 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Realistically ? Ahamed
      That's the kind of lack of knowledge, I'm talking about, Bill Dundee only worked , Nick Gulas / Jarrett, Jim Crockett, Jim Barnett, Verne Gagne , Bill Watts, Fritz, Danny Hodge, Buddy Fuller, Eddie Graham , not sure if you understand that, but it's pretty much every Federation, Alliance, or Association who has ever promoted a professional wrestling match, on this planet. Except Vince Jr.
      Realistically ? Ahmed that's why if any HOF that leaves out people like him, realistically dont have any credibility .
      Because it shows a complete lapse in knowledge. Google a few of those names, Ahmed

    AJ doesn't draw money? reigns doesn't draw money? rollins ambrose, balor don't? gotta disagree with jim. some of those guys sell tickets. people go to see them. and if they don't. they all sell a FUCK ton of merch.

    AJ obviously dominated TNA, you can almost argue he dominated New Japan and now he's dominating WWE. He's been a professional wrestler since 1998. It's not like he's some new guy who was just trained, be's been around for 20 years.

    I'm thinking how do you get the Four Horsemen into the won HOF? It has to be the Tully & Arn team! Yeah they changed the line up often but this team is the one everybody remembers. Its like asking who do you put in for the Midnight Express? There were 4 that people remember! Do you go Dennis & Bobby or Bobby & Stan or all 3! and do you just ignore Randy?

    Jimmy Hart was huge in the WWF during Heenan's time.

    • @timmutohfan
      @timmutohfan 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      i don't know if i'd agree that jimmy had a bigger career in memphis than he did in wwf. not downplaying his memphis run, but he worked big events in wwf..

    • @timmutohfan
      @timmutohfan 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      and yes heenan was the main event heel manager in wwf, many of his guys worked hogan throughout his time there..

    • @timmutohfan
      @timmutohfan 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      sorry for the multiple comments, not trying to blow anyone up, i promise. but hart's wcw run is hugely overlooked. he was part of some main event angles there, just a shame no one cared about hogan in the years prior to his heel turn to the nwo..

    • @timmutohfan
      @timmutohfan 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      all true, but as a performer and entertainer, he worked in front of a lot more people with wwf. more people know the name jimmy hart based on his work in wwf.

      tim mutohfan true. I can see arguments for both sides. Based on your name, you are a fan of Keiji Mutoh. What about that? Keiji Mutoh or Great Muta? He's more known worldwide for being Great Muta, but he has arguably accomplished more under Keiji Mutoh.

    Cornette says nobody draws money! Jesus Christ! If I generate $2 million in merchandise with just my name on it and my action figure sells half a million, plus I'm featured on a show that generates $200 million from TV, I'm a WAY bigger draw than the guy that sold out Memphis, Evansville, Louisville every week. Cornette thinks Sears in the 70's was bigger than Amazon today...

    • @pullupthen5073
      @pullupthen5073 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      phillip martin I’d be willing to bet that Cena generates that type of money off merch sales. I know business is hurting right now but let’s not pretend they aren’t drawing any money

    • @VillaFanFTW
      @VillaFanFTW 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Sorry WeCoolWeCool, Cena's been drawing up until this very day. Not only until 2011, even though you have this odd insecure hate for him, he draws more than anyone has in 15 years after Stone Cold retired. Hate him or love him, he sells out arenas.

    • @VillaFanFTW
      @VillaFanFTW 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Sorry 78bcat, but other than Cena and Lesnar, there isn't a wrestler that if they do a live show in your area, that most fans who can't go, go "damn, I can't go and I'm gonna miss so and so", they'll only do that for those 2. People will buy tickets just to go see them. There were a lot of guys who used to be able too that. Taker, Stone Cold, Rock, Triple H, Flair, Steamboat, etc. Not even Shawn Michael's could draw in the 90s. Says a lot, right? Yeah

    • @wecoolwecoolbounce5191
      @wecoolwecoolbounce5191 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      No...not really. The insecurities are actually manifesting from for inability to face reality here, mark. Cena draws like MySpace draws. He's not the show anymore and hasnt been for a very long time.

      Oh, come on...I like Dundee, but there's no way he's a "no-brainer" HOF. That's like saying the Baseball HOF has no credibility because it doesn't have Dave Parker in it, and I'm not sure Dundee's HOF case for wrestling is as strong as Parker's for baseball.

      Cornette just demonstrated why the WOF HOF doesn't matter. At least WWE recognizes huge draws like Slaughter and JYD. The WOF HOF inducted AJ Styles, someone who couldn't draw flies to week old garbage.
