Unfortunately, with the influx of privileged people suffering the consequences of their own actions, we've got a lot of assholes who don't know how to be poor and this lesson will be lost to time.
Your line about "poverty tends to be like that" really hits me. I'm from the same boat too. All of my friends are either middle or upper class. They always remark how weird I am with money. It's not that I don't want to spend time with them in fancy restaurants or on vacation trips, it's that I really have to make sure whatever money I make goes to savings (what little there is). There's no inheritance money, no trust fund, no estate. You're doing an awesome work helping out your customers.
I lived a few years of my childhood around and below the poverty line, but my family inherited some houses a few years ago that we could sell so we're far above the poverty line now. But I still am very cautious of my money, because when the time comes for me to get fully independent I don't want to instantly ruin myself financially.

I do a lot of buying and selling on fb. But not marketplace. We do it via dedicated groups with reputed admins who handle escrow for buyer and seller safety.
Good man with the fix and helping out someone in need. FB marketplace is definitely filled with not so nice people. But not every seller is out to scam people. I've been buying/selling PCs on marketplace for a while now and have learned to sort of tell what listings to avoid (bad pics, vague description, no items previously sold, low number of reviews, price too good to be true, communication is bad, etc.) But unfortunately people who are new to buying on marketplaces don't have that kind of knowledge so can fall into traps like your customer. Truly living up to your tagline. Keep it up!
Dude this is wholesome as shit, thanks for posting these kind of videos. Would love to start repairing PCs as well, if you have any tips how to get started small let me know 🙌

Thank you for going above and beyond for your customers, as well as making these videos to help others avoid getting screwed over. I've been trying to save up for a PC for years only for life to drain my savings every time, so these videos have taught me what to look out for when/if I finally do get enough saved up.
You're a good person, and this is one of the reasons I'm subscribing to this channel. Besides the helpful content, of course. I'm 64 years old living here in Malaysia since I was born. My late father who passed away last year at 90 had dementia during the last 7 years of his life. That's how I immediately connected when I saw one of the Shorts here mentioning a bit about your mother. It's very sad and painful to see one's parents no longer like what they had once been. Best Wishes to you and your family, and to the people you're involved with. We may be far away, with different race, religion and culture. But essentially we are all "the same" when it comes to life and living.
You do exactly as I do. I give back to customers that get hosed either by a marketplace or with a cost cut prebuilt. I also take donated/abandoned hardware and build PCs for kids in the area. Wife works at the lowest income school in town, so we know who wants or needs one. They may not be Cyberpunk 2077 4K monsters, but they can handle more than enough. Plus it gets them into the PC space so upgrading down the road is a better prospect.
5:22 Sucks that your Apple Watch failed, but my Pixel Watch not only got the answer, it spoke it out to me. Rats do not burp, nor can they have acid reflux, and they are not capable of vomiting. Ya know, good for you and well done! There are other youtubers who do the same thing and that's great. And FYI, I do like the long videos better than the shorts.
I found your videos popping up in my feed randomly. The intersection of generational poverty and tech repair is right up my alley. Being poor as hell sucks, but I never went without the bare necessities. Now my retirement plan is solely predicated on surviving until my parents have accidents and receive settlement payouts that they can gift to me via inheritance. Which is exactly what happened.
I love your videos, and how honest you are about the industry you work in. Poverty is a pain, my dad used to get computers from the side of the road so at least we'd be able to do school assignments. most didn't work, but as a hobby I'd at least get them running software wise.
Very fine of you to do this. Unfortunately scammers refuse to take any additional proper images of the equipment they sell. Clean table with the pc showing it runs something is a minimum. Adding a shot of the Uefi showing specs of relevant parts is also necessary. Then the seller can only say the delivery guy broke something. Go get it yourself if possible, ask to see it running. But pre-builts are preferred often among experts too.
Dude i legit love you so much, you're such a freaking angel man, never stop doing what you do, never let anyone change the way you are, you're making the world a better place

@@noveliayuki Also, I dont think you're f-ed. Like I said I have seen it done both ways without anyone saying it definitely has to be done either way. In my mind it just makes sense to take that label off to allow as much heat to transfer directly to the pads.
@@Two_Thumbz yeah, it makes sense to me to remove it too. Thats why i think i did it wrong, probably peeling it off is a bit better. Its fine though, now i know for the next time i get a nvme. Thanks

Rtx 4070, i9 14900k, 5000$, no lowballs, I know what I have
Nope 4k with 4090 5k
"i know what i have" ... suicidal CPU u have :D
so you paid 2k mark up on something that will eventually nuke itself in couple of months, way to go
that system is not worth a dime let alone a 5k, simply because overpriced turd of a cpu will seppuku itself in a short amount on time
i bet 7800x3d with 4080s would cost no more than 2k and whoop your system a double fps
@@r3tr0c0e3 dude he's making fun of the facebook sellers that do that
Blud didn't hear about the intel instability fiasco lmao.
Just because of the last 5 min of getting real in this video I subscribed. Hope there are a lot more people like you out there
I do a lot of buying and selling on fb. But not marketplace. We do it via dedicated groups with reputed admins who handle escrow for buyer and seller safety.
This is the way to do it.
It is the best way to do it
I appreciate what you said. You never screw someone over! 👍
0:34 open air? Something I wish these computers had so my sister's toothbrush wouldn't be stolen every other day.
Good man with the fix and helping out someone in need.
FB marketplace is definitely filled with not so nice people. But not every seller is out to scam people. I've been buying/selling PCs on marketplace for a while now and have learned to sort of tell what listings to avoid (bad pics, vague description, no items previously sold, low number of reviews, price too good to be true, communication is bad, etc.)
But unfortunately people who are new to buying on marketplaces don't have that kind of knowledge so can fall into traps like your customer.
Truly living up to your tagline. Keep it up!
Dude this is wholesome as shit, thanks for posting these kind of videos. Would love to start repairing PCs as well, if you have any tips how to get started small let me know 🙌
I really like the chemistry you have with your partner.. You guys seem to have a lot of fun working together in the industry you both like. What a team !! ♥♥
2:32 Casually ignored the roach
As somebody who barely makes it by even on food stamps, this hits close to home for me. Thank you for going above and beyond for your customers, as well as making these videos to help others avoid getting screwed over. I've been trying to save up for a PC for years only for life to drain my savings every time, so these videos have taught me what to look out for when/if I finally do get enough saved up.
10:49 we need morals and you're father is absolutely right, It's heartwarming to see guys like you doing right things ❤
💛💛💛
Thank you Patrick!!!
The kindest technician thats ever lived
Thank you so much, I'll make sure to pass this on!
I always enjoy your shorts but your long format videos are fun as well. Always enjoy the content from the greatest technician that's ever lived.
i love how in our repair tech world we encounter the word "apparently" so often

Scams like this are the reason we started our prebuilt business as well. We even make build videos with alot of our builds for public transparency.
You guys rock.
I'm shocked to see Loopya ACTUALLY working! 😉🤭
I love these long form videos so much. Inspires me to start my own tech repair business, but I think the business is too saturated in my area.
This previously had weed in it 😅 I'm dying

AYO, watch your jet!
AYO BRO WATCH YOUR JET!
(Don’t ask it’s the first thing that came to mind)
I came from the shorts, and gotta say, I love these longer videos. Keep up the great work, both in PC repair and on TH-cam!
5:22 Sucks that your Apple Watch failed, but my Pixel Watch not only got the answer, it spoke it out to me. Rats do not burp, nor can they have acid reflux, and they are not capable of vomiting. They do not have the muscle capacity in their esophagus to expel the excessive force required to burp, vomit, or even have acid reflux.
Ive been binge watching these long form videos, and they are GREAT! Keep em coming my friend! You guys are amazing!
Glad you like them!
2:31 i gagged at the dead roach being in the box.
You gagged at that small thing. Come to india some time. You will puke your heart out
me too
hey Andy, i just wanna say thank you for reading my comment on the old macbook swollen battery short, and I just wanna say that you are a great person and your business is great as always, and your content is awesome.
Music 🎶 is nice. u should use it
Cheers and love what you do sir! As someone who builds computers for everyone I know (and teach them how to), it is rewarding to help someone out and it is unfortunate that people take advantage over ignorance on a topic like computers.
10:01 : Sounds like you are not a fan... of Fanxiang
I watched your shorts when I started getting into PC building and started my LLC! Thanks for showing us how it goes down behind the scenes 😊

Congratulations on the 1.2mil!! You deserve it as the greatest technician that's ever lived!
I love this long form videos, im glado to see the good thing you did in yhe past ate paying off today
I am glad to say you truly are The Greatest Technician Thats Ever Lived ❤
Ya know, good for you and well done! There are other youtubers who do the same thing and that's great. And FYI, I do like the long videos better than the shorts.
I found your videos popping up in my feed randomly. The intersection of generational poverty and tech repair is right up my alley. Being poor as hell sucks, but I never went without the bare necessities. Now my retirement plan is solely predicated on surviving until my parents have accidents and receive settlement payouts that they can gift to me via inheritance. Which is exactly what happened.
It really warms my heart to see people and TH-camrs like you:)
I love your videos, and how honest you are about the industry you work in. Poverty is a pain, my dad used to get computers from the side of the road so at least we'd be able to do school assignments. most didn't work, but as a hobby I'd at least get them running software wise.
The Greatest burb Rat that’s ever lived!
Love from Cyprus!!!
Always nice to see you dropping longform uploads. I love your sense of humour and having it spaced out a bit over a few more minutes than they would be in a short is great.
Quite literally, the kindest technician that ever lived! You are a hero Sir! Oi! You got an Sub from Scandinavia now. Good man. If only more could be like you Sir.
The greatest man that ever lived
The Greatest Donation That's Ever Lived.
Thanks Cedric!!
Bro, I'm so glad I found your channel. This here a gem in the TH-cam atmosphere!
Absolutely loved the video. Found you via shorts, but love these longer actual videos!
The Gta theme moment is the best 😂 9:51
Thanks for all you do for your customers!
Love your content bro. Thank you for sticking around for us little guys. Huge respect to you.
Thank you for the video. I don’t understand much about computer repairs, and all the talk about the sponsor is white noise for me. But it’s still really interesting to see behind the curtain of computer repairs from a guy with such great attitude :)
You're the first person I've seen on youtube peel the label off of the nvme so that it makes contact with the heatsink thermal pads. That reassures me that I did the right thing when I removed mine. Thanks. I remember reading it somewhere but almost every youtuber I have watched leaves them on. Also, nice work helping someone out.
Wait, which label? I dont remember peeling off a label when i got a new nvme... ahh im fcked :(
@@noveliayuki at the 10:09 mark. the crucial nvme ssd label.
Thanks
@@noveliayuki It doesn't have to be removed. They are made to stay on there. It may affect it slightly but not enough to matter. Also remember that nvme ssds are designed to run in certain heat ranges from 50c to 90c or so. I believe the controllers need to run hot to work properly, unlike most other pc components.
Thx for the work and the fun. Loved the values shown at the end.
Just came across ya! Workin on my A+ certs now, love working with computer and see all the "gaming pc" ads on local market and just like wtfff scammers are everywhere! Keep up the great work!
As someone who build custom 2xXeons for students who need the horsepower on the cheap i can understand that, begining was ruff... but have been at it for 5 years and people come back just because it's so difficult now a days to even trust pictures and find someone who is not trying to screw them over, love your content! keep at it
That's what's up ty for helping so many people's computers your amazing 🤩
Would Love to just sit quietly and watch you work on all kinds of pcs
Yoww thanks for sharing your day fixing this computer. Enjoyable to watch plus we got life lesson. Awesome haha!
I am an incomming 4th year IT student and what I want is to be a game developer, or a programmer in general but because I play on low end systems, I learned to clean, optimize, reformat, and fix hardware (nothing complex). SO I guess I have a shot in starting a carrer like what you are doing.
most W technician that's ever lived
Holy crap thank you!!!
You're one hell of a stand-up guy growing up helping people make their lives better with limited resources and your dad definitely gave you some great advice.
