OC! That 450cc 50hp engine is the perfect sweet spot for an all use bike. I hope they come out with a naked and Adv version of this power plant. They would absolutely kill the competition with that

@xxneggalee2785 Interesting comment. I would if guessed that the ninja would have a superior engine and performance based on the brands reputation. Maybe I have been brainwashed by kawasaki and should remain open-minded.

Now at over a month of ownership of one and I couldn’t be happier. Absolutely love it as a first bike for everything I need. Looks great sounds great and is easy to ride around.
I’ve had it for 3 weeks just got past the breaking in(over 621 miles). I couldn’t agree more. It’s amazing even for bigger riders.
I'm just over 500 miles, I actually downgraded from a CBR600RR 😅

I love your videos. Your enthusiasm is inspiring. I took one for a test ride today. I was so impressed. everything about it. Ride position, handling, weight, brakes, sound. 270 degree crank gives it a great V twin honk. Thanks again Chase, you're the best.

Been riding for a couple of decades and the 450SS is going to be my first foray into sportbikes. I want something fun but not out of control fun. It's so modernized for a starter machine and when you see one next to Ninjas in a showroom it really stands out against them.
man, my gixx'r almost gets me arrested everytime. that is why I am looking for something that was similar to my 300 but with lil more to keep me out of trouble. all rules go out when I take my 600. IDK I can't act normal on that thing but I can't
Ya I was planning on getting a 400 but probably gonna go for this. But the 400 just never looked all that good to me. Like not bad but just average. This one actually looks nice
@@devinedgin673 I test rode the 450SS and liked it but found a really good deal on a KTM RC390 and opted for that instead. I had wanted one for years and the price was too good to let go.
This is probably the best cf Moto video I've seen so far. nice work. look forward to more videos about it. Only question that I have is does the 300 variant do the cool headlight thingy lol
I love the sound of that twin parallel with the 270° crank.
I might be a bit biased but I don’t think it’s gonna knock the N400 off the top.
It’s a neat bike, with a lot of features for the price, but it doesn’t have the service/dealer network that Kawi does, nor the massive aftermarket support.
Is a pretty cool bike tho.
That is thinks that come with time though. So it may not beat it in aftermarket yet but in 5 years it may be a different story. But I will say they are starting out strong
I agree. I always welcome competition, but its gonna take a while before it overtakes Kawi

The factors you've mentioned can easily be overcome with time though. Not deal breakers

OC: Excited to see such premium features in a smaller displacement motorcycle! Shame that it took Kawasaki the ZX4RR to integrate TFT displays in a 400cc package.
Interested to see what the aftermarket and customer support looks like for potential buyers.
OC: I'm about to buy a brand new 2023 Z900, and I really want a small light sport bike to zoom around on as well. I was thinking of staying with team green, but that 450SS is just awesome based on everything I've seen. I'm very tempted.
Get the cfmoto to get a diferent feel and compare the 2 brands over time

The best thing about the introduction of this bike is that hopefully the BIG 4 manufacturers will see there is a significant market for a "beginner bike" that looks and sounds cool. You shouldn't have to compromise getting a "base model" just because you want to start out with low cc.

Front end looks like a cbr650r and the rear reminds me of the panigale haha. Looks like you get a lot for the money. Hopefully the reliability will be there

Got to test the 450SS at Laconia Bike Week. SUPER fun little machine, with TONS of technology for the price point. If I didn't love my Street Triple 675 as much as I do, I might've bought one!
I have been saving up for a motorcycle as a beginner and was so sure that i was going to go for the ninja 400 but im glad videos have been coming out about the CFMOTO 450SS. Its def made me change my mind and now going for the 450SS.
My question will it be easy to found parts for this motorcycle
And long term reliability. Don't forget how many people were all excited when the Duke 390 came out. Everyone was all giddy from the performance till issues came out several miles later. Might not be a big deal if it's not your only vehicle but if it's your daily commuter and it must absolutely work everytime, I'll choose the Ninja/Z400 or R3/MT03 over the others.
I'd rather choose the zx6r or the cbr650r. And if I find a good deal the zx4rr

Wasn’t very confident hearing that CF was putting together KTMs low cc bikes but seeing how their utvs and now their cycles are performing I’m thinking about buying one.

OC! I have a 2020 R3 and very much like the looks on this CF moto!! I'm pretty sure that if it had a Yamaha badge on it everybody would be going crazy about it, but the fact that we don't really trust Chinese bikes that much makes it go unnoticed.
So you trusted Chinese built Yamaha, Suzuki, Honda, and Kawasaki for years....but you can these?
Thanks for the initial review. Great price point for an entry level, tech loaded bike. Unfortunately dealers are forgeting that these bikes are made to be sold and enjoyed by the masses. I went to 3 dealers that quoted me out the door prices hovering $8k...what??? Mark ups are ridiculous!!! Dont mind the few hundred $$ for set up but $1200-$1400??? Wow!
We went to look at one. And it came home with us. 😂
OC: Lovin my 450SS and I've already clocked over 1.2k miles on mine in the month and a half of ownership. Arguably the best beginner bike on the market right now under that 500cc mark.

Finally! CF Moto is getting some shine. They've developed a solid reputation overseas but people in the states have been skeptical.

I don't have a bike yet, and I know that it's better to start on a used bike so in case I drop it I wouldn't mind ruin it aesthetically that much, but I'm loving this one, all the technology it packs and the sound it makes is just beautiful. Cf Moto is not yet selling it where I live but apparently they're about to.
I’ve got the 450SRS here in Australia and been daily riding it. It’s a fantastic bike! Light, nimble and so easy to ride for any skill level. No issues at all so far. I can’t wait until CFMOTO releases the 500SR inline 4 and the 675SR. Exciting upgrade path once I’m more skilled. 👍🏼

I would want to know where the power band stacks up and where it could be improved on the power side for later if it could be or not. couldn't be. Like tuning if someone did have it for the long term.

OC: 270 CRANK in a cheaper bike is great! I hope they release a naked version as well. Not many cheaper/lower cc bikes sound this good

i love me new 24 zx6r, tft is amazing, look for tft on next years 400. blue tooth connection with app is a slept on feature, along with the seat adjustability

The naked version isn't as great as the sports version. The Z400 is better than the 400NK. Infact my MT07 is lighter than the 400NK.

I have not finished the video. The first shots of the bike i instantly pay attention to the fact that a 450cc bike has winglets? I know they look somewhat cool but cmon. This the 450sr will hit speed limit before winglets start giving any benefit.
my cousin had one, and yes i tried it, it sounds awesome because of the 270 deg crank and it's beginner friendly BUT it eats a lot of gas, inefficient engine, zx4rr was "little" more gas efficient and it was an INLINE 4 engine.
The winglets work great for stability. So they are doing something 👍🏽

Cfmoto is killing it right now. I'm seriously looking at the NK650.
It’s great to see others are seeing what I saw first time I saw that bike! After purchased friends was like why buy a Chinese motorcycle?, but everywhere we go this bike steals the show the performance is great the features are just way better than the Kawasaki I’ve had the bike about 2 months and as of now Im very happy with my decision on not going with the Kawasaki yes its a new bike on the market but so was others at some point, great bike !
OC: The overall styling of the bike is amazing, and I have honestly contemplated trading in my Ninja 650 for this. I'm really hoping they come out with a 650/700, because that would be an instant trade.
Imagine if they release this bodywork with the their nk800's engine. It would give Aprilia a run for it's money.
Don't do it . Keep the ninja or upgrade to hornet 750 or cbr650.
loved the design of this bike but I'm a 6'7 rider. the riding position was too hunched over for my liking so I passed on it at the dealership. any recommendations for a high seated upright handle bar sports bike?
Not a lot of sports bikes that can fit people over 6' 4" you could try a larger cc Suzuki Sport Touring

People seem to keep forgetting to mention the bike has GP shifting available. Also nobody seem to know that there is a 450ss-r version coming to the US soon. That version comes standard with cruise control, single sided swing arm, Brembo front & back, better ABS, better tires, and the design is a little different with the exhaust below the seat like a ninja 650 or R7… if the 450ss isn’t what kills the ninja 400 the 450ss-r will definitely get er

Can you look into the insurance rates. I'm seeing them much higher for 450ss vs Ninja400 or R3. Is that the same for everyone? Why is it so high for a 450cc bike?

Not a small sport bike fan, but this bike got me excited.
Also I wouldn't get too excited about that brembo front break since copyrights mean nothing to China. I think averyone should ease up a little because we know nothing about the long term quality of these bikes. Let's see what happens when something goes wrong and you have to wait months to get parts. It doesn't matter if the dealer is super cool and letting everyone test ride the bike when parts aren't available.

Oc: First of all the bike looks awesome and the 270 degree crank sounds better than the ninja. And the fact that you get brembos and a tft is just the cherry on top.

Not gonna lie I didn't look at CF moto positively but, I am growing more excited with their offerings and what impact that will have on the market. I believe it will also have rippling effect going up into the higher tier not just beginner bikes but even mid-size and possibly liter bikes. We'll just have to see. P.S I still trust established brands like Kawasaki and Yamaha far more than an upstart.
I'm from Douglasville ga and know most counties there but never heard of that county.
Love that China QC, The bike does look cool but I wont be trading the Kawi for 1. Good luck to you who buy the 450.

Hey chase! No CFMoto know-it-all here, but just to give a heads up, the 450SS and the 450SR are two different trims of this bike. I'm not sure really too much of the differences but I know the latest model SR has a single sided swing arm as well as some other goodies, going with CF Moto's goal of making a bike as similar to their concept as possible. I believe we're getting it in the states soon, but I'm not a hundred percent sure, I have seen some un-cratings of it floating about the interwebs though, so it is indeed out there.

That was the concept bike that had the single sided swingarm, SR is just what it’s called outside the US

They had the name wrong. 😊 There is a single sided Swingarm version called 450sr-s. I found a couple of overseas videos about it. Lang Thang is one of the TH-cam channels.
I was considering the CFMOTO 300 SS and I would kind of like to know the difference is between the 450 and the 300.

Damn Chase could you lay it on any thicker. How much is CFMoto paying you? What happened to independent and honest reviews? I'm not saying that I think the 450SS is bad but CFM had to cut corners somewhere.
I have a cfmoto 450ss and I do prefer it over my ninja 400.

Kove/GPX is going to be bringing over their 400cc inline 4 streetbike to the US in 2024. 75hp, lighter than the Kawi, bigger fuel tank (just) and fully adjustable suspension.
OC: HOT DAMN I've not rode a bike below 600cc since my 1st bike a Ninja 250. It's been 13 years since then, but DAMN the 450SS looks good. If CFMoto has knocked reliability outta the park with it I could see them getting a chunk outta my bank account.

Order a different seat. They have 3 different options.
I got the cfmoto clx 700 for my first bike a little over a week ago. Great bike, but not as sporty looking as id like.
I seriously doubt it... There's z125pros zipping up and down the dragon with Ninja 400 swaps.
