Got the 450ss in May as my first bike. No complaints. I've put 3k miles on it. Plenty of power for size (and price). I topped it at 124mph. Nothing but compliments on the looks. It got stolen and I tracked and recovered it in 30 mins with the app the bike comes with. My opinion should come with a grain of salt because I'm new, but I feel like it was a great first bike option. Most major brand won't give you enough features and quality cause they know no matter what they do people already trust them. For China brand it's a different story. They're trying so hard on improving and giving us as much as they can give with lower price just to prove that they can do it too and this is something worth to be appreciate.
If the quality of CFMoto is not good enough and the price is not cheap enough in China, first of all, the Chinese will criticize it crazily. 1.4 billion people, it’s scary to think about it
My thoughts exactly, Chinese brands have a lot to prove that's why I think they will put in more on the R&D and quality of their bikes so they can be trusted as well.
There is always the point that the Ninja is a known quantity - no unpleasant surprises down the road when it comes to parts and service availability, or long term durability. But it also sounds like CFMoto deserves credit for bringing a really good motorcycle to the North American market.
parts of the ninja was like a keypad phone to cut cost. if a bike is intentionaly built to cut cost, that will be like fooling yourself of something cheap and trying hard to say good thing to sugar coat the poor ordinary parts with a high price because it has a kawasaki stickers on it. same as lying to yourself hahaha.
If kawasaki puts their sticker on it.. you can pretty much bet its gonna a good quality. If you purchase a bike because it's got led lights and a tablet..... good luck to ya.
@@truss6282 i tried putting kawasaki sticker in a piece of rock, it aint turning to gold. wahahahaha. if a bike has cheap parts, even if you put kawasaki sticker on it it will still be cheap looking parts. wahahaha. cheap parts means to cut cost and your cheaply made parts will gonna make you look stupid wahahaha.
what ingredient you put in the bike defines quality. even you pay in a world famous restaurant a high price yet they only give you soup intead of a steak you should be questioning.
So I'm no engineer or bike aficionado. I'm not even going to bug around with checking the comments to see if somebody is already commented. The CF Moto seems like a awesome steal and my assumption of the 50 extra CC's could simply be to keep the bike competitive with the Kawasaki because of the weight. I think that the CF Moto is a little bit more budget focused and that's where the weight is coming from. Kawasaki has had years and money to dedicate to r&d for lighter frames and don't need higher CC motors. With all that being said, I still would pick the CFMoto just for the intrigue and to support the new guys and keep things competitive in the motorcycle market. Competition drives innovation
CFMoto makes stuff for KTM, and now they will be making bikes for Yamaha for certain markets. Speaks volumes that these companies trust them with their logo...
@peterwilson8039 local Indian dealership here in Lexington, KY (pop. 330k) carries CF Moto and has the staff to work on them. So CF moto is making the effort.
@@weylins Yeah, they are legit. There was a time when the products coming out of Japan were laughed at, and then they took over. China is about to do the same. They have become a real player, and they have the raw materials, the money and the tech to do it right...
@@SquireSCA folks often also forget that we get cheap shit from China because that's what companies HERE in the states buy. Not because thats all they make. China is more than capable of making quality products. Lots of parts for Triumphs are made in China... and often like mine was, assembled in Thailand.
Some say the plastics are not as nice but as they said in the vid, I was looking for something that had a bigger bike feel and that’s the what the CF Moto offers. 7500 miles and it’s been great. Just used the GPS tracking system to location the bike after it was stolen. My first season is over with repairs/wait time but I’m happy I did it on the CF.
How was your bike stolen? I've been looking at the 450ss for a bit but idk if i can justify putting 1000 to 2000 dollars into a ninja 400 just to get it to match the 450ss features.
@@CocoPeanut-sf9ul maybe the 3rd time in 8 months that I didn’t put my caliper lock on my bike and the guy broke into my apartment garage and stole it.
I went for the CF Moto! Although for months I was really saving to get a Ninja. But sitting on the two bikes over several weeks is what did it for me. Being a female rider leaning forward I had more space on the CF moto than the ninja SURPRISINGLY. I am not sure why but my hips and chest felt really weird when riding the ninja and on the CF I had more space to adjust and sit properly. I agree that the ninja is def an EPIC bike (almost got one) but I have to trust my body and what feels best for it :) Thank you for this video!
I would also buy the 450ss over the Ninja. I have owned ninja 250's and now have a CFMOTO 300nk and have over 3k miles on it. I have to say CF is gunning for what Kawasaki has in the low to mid bike segment, and is winning in my opinion. I will be getting a 700clx as my next bike I like mine so much. Also, if the Ninja was equipped identically to the 450ss, it would be 1500-2000 dollars more.
What's your inseam? I've been spilt on these two (hoping to grab something by fall 2024) and unsure. Ninja might be the better pick for me due to the lower weight and more relaxed position, yet the 450ss having more features and loving the look of the blue variant more is very tempting. I'm a very tiny guy (28" inseam here and maybe 120 lb tops) so finding a bike once I'm ready is going to be a interesting time...
@@smolmuffinlook into the ktm rc390 as well, it’s feature packed and makes both the cbr500 and the ninja400 seem extremely dated while still being from a reputable brand
Good evening, I am a 74 year novelist. I am currently writing a spy mystery novel based on Motocross and sports bikes. I have never ridden a bike before but after doing the research on the sport I would loved to have started riding motocross as a young man. I was a college athlete in the 1960s and 70s and played some professionally for a few years. My reflexes were always super fast and still, to this day remain fast. My eyesight is good, though I wear bifocal glasses and i have great peripheral vision. Most people think I look at least 10 - 15 years younger than I am. I walk a little slower than i did in my youth. I am in great shape according to my physician. That is the back ground to my question of you. I plan to take the MSF course this coming spring with the hope that I can actually buy and ride a motorcycle. I have come down to the choice of either the Ninja 400 or the Ninja 650. However watching this video has added the CF Moto 450SS to the mix. My desire is to drive the local roads here New Hampshire . I don’t have to commute anywhere as other than writing I am retired. I will just be doing fun rides and I do not plan on riding much on the interstates…but would like to be safe on them should I need to use one. I am 6 foot tall and weigh 200 lbs even. What are your thoughts and suggestions for me? I am leaning to the 400 as I do not feel i will need the extra power of the 650 and your video indicates to me that the 400 and CF 450 are pretty similar other than weight. And for an old guy like me…weight might be a factor. At my age I want the bike that will fit me well. Since this will most likely be the one and only bike I will be purchasing your suggestions is very much appreciated. Thanks for your thoughts. Sincerely, Tom
I have owned all three of the major brands. 2018 ninja 400, 2020 R3 X2, cfmoto 450ss. The 450 is the best BY FAR. It’s really not even close. I’d actually choose the R3 with a throttle tube mod over the ninja 400 as well. The seating position is very awkward on the ninja, the rear sets sit weird, and it constantly wants to throw your nuts against the tank. (Owners will know what I mean). I have no interest in cfmoto and owned multiple 600cc sportbikes as well. This little guy is a BEAST!
these small bikes are the best. I've been on a cb500f for 5 years now and I really don't want more power, just sound. Rode the cb650r the other day and the power on that down low is very similar to my 500, so I'm thinking about getting that. But I really don't know if I want a zx4r over the cbr650r thooo And yes, I don't want more power, I don't need it either.@@sleeper.simulant7327
@@brando3009having ridden a Ninja 400, for every day riding it’s more then enough. And I have a 50 mile one way commute on mostly highway and interstate. Can still easily break the speed limit on one, even on the interstate. It’s also very cheap to own. I also had a GSXR 600 for a little over a week as a loaner bike, and while I definitely liked it more on the interstate, the baby Ninja is more then capable.
CFMoto needs to bring their 450 SR-S to the North American market. It has better brakes, weighs 50lbs lighter, includes adjustable suspension, single-sided swing arm, along with traction control.
Where did you read that it is 50lbs lighter? Their site shows SR being 168kg and the SR-S being 179kg. The SS is 370lbs. If their website is correct, then the SR-S is about 25lbs heavier, not 50lbs lighter.
@@GrimAbstracttake that as a good sign... if you can't find a used one for sale it means nobody is wanting to get rid of theirs... that being said Facebook Market Place typically has a lot of bikes or at least in my area
I've owned almost every beginner bike possible (r3, cb300f, ninja 400, drz400sm, 401 svartpilen and more!!) And yes, the ninja 400 is the best beginner bike money can buy! I currently have a 390 adventure, it's good for my lifestyle
Nice review Mr. Yammie, I'm 100% agree with you Ninja 400 is still the king in his category, but the 450 NK is the new generation for the beginner bike. Hopefully you can also feature the z400, duke 390 and the 450nk. Best regards sir.
Great video guys ' I saw the 450 sr in my local bike shop' window and it got me enthusiastic about jumping back on a bike after a 30 year break ' i just put a deposit on it yesterday a day before this video haha' its their demo with 180kms on the clock with all the CF Moto accessories already fitted from smoked front screen ' clutch and brake levers billet rear sets' alxe sliders' seat ' rear cowl tale tidy and Verex slipon for not much more than a standard 450sr ' so i reckon i did ok 😀
I was comparing the CF 650ADV vs the Kawa 650 Versys. The CF felt very good, almost better than the Versys. But as it was said, the aftermarket and known platform is why I went to the Versys. I heard not too many good things about the CF/KTM engines and didn't wanna fuss about it over time.
I got a 250 cc nk and it works lovely, but the problems at least in latam are the spare parts, they don't have transmission parts in the official representant.
My first bike was a ninja 400 and I can honestly say for a beginner who doesn’t wanna risk startin on a 600 it’s fantastic it’s very forgiving and has just enough power to keep u interested while u learn I didn’t go to a safety course or anything I just went to the dmv got my permit then went dealer got the bike had it dropped off at my house and then rode around my development for about 50 miles so I could learn how to shift and everything the only knock I have against it is the fuckin plastic seat is ass brakin so if ur going for longer rides that r like 30 minutes or more ur gunna feel it especially if u live in a smaller town where the roads r shit but other than that u really can’t go wrong with the Ninja 400 although I won’t lie that cf moto 450 looks stoopid clean and puttin a slip on exhaust makes that thing sound like a proper 600 shit sounds amazing
Are you an American? Most over countries you can’t start on a 600. I have to wait a year before doing my full licence, then I can get a 600. I could buy one now but I’d get pulled over a ton. And they wouldn’t let me sit my test on one.
It looks to me like even if you're a motoGP rider, if you're out on the road with your buddy with either of these bikes you're gonna have a damn great time. Thanks for the review
I’ve only ridden 4 motorcycles in my life and this is one. I went to a cf moto event and rode a few. I loved the 450ss I wish it was my beginner bike. I’m kinda thinking of getting one as a track bike.
250 cc motorcycles, and even lower, are still the entry level motorcycles recommended for mostly anyone all around the world. What you see right there is a classic case of bigger is better American exaggerbation. Almost everyone, even the ones who say they haven't had any issues starting with a liter sports behemoth, would be in an even better place today if they had spent a season on a tiny bike they can just constantly drop during practice without any serious consequences.
Ok after owning the CF Moto 450 SR for about three months now, i have zero regrets about buying it. The sound with a slip on is amazing, and it really adds to the overall experience. However imo, the Brembo brakes are overkill for this bike. It is way overspec for what it needs, and would rather have the cost savings into other components.
Would love to see a “400 class shootout” rc 390, ninja 400, r3, cf450ss, cbr 500r see who’s really the king of the class then when the aprilia drops see where it slots in 👌👍
The Cfmoto 450ss/sr is a really great bike and I'd say it's the best almost 500cc (mid-segment) bike on the market, with the power figures, the 270 crank and the overall design
CFMOTO and Yamaha have reached an agreement to establish a joint venture in Zhuzhou, China. The name of the new business will be ZHUZHOU CF YAMAHA MOTOR Co.
Zhuzhou is the manufacturing capital of China so quality is a MAJOR concern. From someone who gets products manufactured from every corner of the world.
I think the thing with the cf moto Ashwell is the distribution the ninja 400's weight is distributed so well that you really feel like you can throw it around so it feels a lot lighter than the actual weight difference. The ninja 400 isn't dethroned just yet I think
Comparison CFmoto - faster , better brakes , better tech , more stable , sounds better , looks better , better lights , feels like bigger bike NINJA 400 - its light , its a kawasaki , feels like little bike
I tried both and even had a deal with the Ninja 400, but changed my mind to the cfmoto and bought it instead. Seemed a bit punchier and faster, with overall a better package of pretty much everything in my opinion of course. Both great bikes. But I’m sold to Cfmoto 😂
A real comparison should be after 50k miles. Some of us ride our bikes every day for the long haul. The first 10k miles mean jack. That’s just breaking a bike in. How well do the internal parts work? How expensive are replacement parts? How available are replacement parts? I will give this bike a few years to see the longevity. Until then, I will keep wringing the neck off my Ninja 400.
cfmoto 450sr for me. As a not complete beginer that wants to take it step by step i like the big bike feel it has. Also in greece ninja 400 is 1k more expensive than the cfmoto.
for anyone wondering, theres a new one called the sr s. All these are things ive heard from ppl owning em so not personal, take it with a grain of salt. Transmission feels better, gets a quickshifter (idk if option or not but it sounds nice), belly exhaust like the rs660 and some other smaller stuff here and there. same price tho!
cfmoto lied on paper.... ive gotten mine to 135 mph almost every time i ride. I also dust any ninja 400 or cbr500 off a dig and a roll.... by a few bike lengths. the cfmoto450 is an amazing beginner bike, and a great / capable bike for someone who just doesnt need a 600cc engine. also the aftermarket support is getting a lot better.... just got new fairings, a few oil filters, new mirrors, new winglets, new levers and clip ons.... not too bad
135 on your speedometer. GPS would probably put you in the mid 120’s. Every bike I’ve ridden the speedometer reads high, some by a little, some by a lot.
I got a 450ss a little bit ago as my “second bike” my first was a Honda xr150L then was looking around and the powersports dealer down the road from me is a cfmoto dealer and cf was running a winter sale so it was $500 off went down looked at it and looked at the ninja 400 which of course I know we all know is great the cf was a better price so I went with it. I love it been a fun bike my buddy’s love hoping on it (as they get off there 1000s lol) it’s great looking sounds good comfortable (I have hip and back issues from hockey) the factory sliders helped save the bike when I went down on it in the mountains. I’m very happy with it. I’m sure I would be very happy with a ninja if I gotten that instead
I’m split between these bikes but I am leaning toward the ninja just because it’s a tried and tested platform. My plan is to get my first bike when I get out of college so maybe by then the cfmoto will be a more established bike. Also, the new ninja 500 (that’s technically a 450) is coming out and since it’s based on the 400’s chassis I hope it will be the perfect in between for me. I just hope and pray it’s not like the cbr500r

Hello Yam I'm 28yo from SD CA started riding last Oct on a 2019 ninja 400 abs with 3k miles because of your advice so thank you for the help now I have rode everything from groms, yz450, zx6r, sportster and more BUT I LOVE THE NINJA 400! I also now have a 2017 drz400sm and 2020 grom so that's my 3 bike stable. PS Do more skateboard stuff for me that outro was the best I can tre flip easy you got this plus I ride every single day for yall who can't sorry for illiteracy😅✌️
my question would be: is the cfmoto smoother over the bumps due to the heavier weight? if it's more comfortable, faster, 270 crank, plus more streetable powerband with lots of over rev.. well the cfmoto sounds pretty good.. but i really do prefer the appearance of the ninja 400 and the analog tachometer.. can't all bikes just be inline 4's.. i learned on a 600 yammy so these twins seem so cheaply made to me but i guess the economy is shot with all this inflation
I am 42 bigger guy 250 buying my first bike. I've road quads, 4 wheelers and even 3 wheelers, I was looking at the 400, but came across the 450 one day. Keep going back and forth on which one. With me being a bigger heavier guy would the 450 be a better option. I had a sales man try to talk me into a 800 I walked away think that is WAY to much bike for me.
Hey Yammie! I've been watching ur videos for about 2 years now maybe 3 but I'm about to a motorcycle lmao. I was looking into the Honda cbr 650r and I was wonder what ur thoughts and stuff were on the bike?
I've just never been a Kawasaki guy, I've always been a Yamaha guy.... but if they start coming out with quite a bit of aftermarket support for the CF moto, then most likely I will buy one of those in a couple of years when that happens. And I'm willing to bet with a few minor modifications that the CF Moto can save a lot of that excess weight. Im positive that muffler is easley 15 lbs or more....
I want some of the 400 on mountain roads, I know my 450ss will pull it corner to corner, then the ergonomics, great brakes, stiff suspension will make it superior, stock to stock of course. Gearing ratios on the CF corner to corner are perfect, you think in the lower gears that the CF isn't that fast but banging gears 3-5, it mph's really well, that means fast btw... Old expert roadracer here, no better than anyone else but do know enough to be dangerous. Gonna put some super stickies on and take it to Deals soon, downhill sections, watch out:)
The looks, the sound, the display, the engine, I don’t see why anyone would choose the ninja other than the fact that the ninja has more parts available. They really nailed the CF.
Now we need a video where you guys talk about just regular bikes. I'm not the kind of guy that wants to go 200+ km/h on the road. But at the same time, im not looking for a budget 250 bike that cannot overtake for its sake. You keep mentioning 300-500 range as if it is something only for beginners. What if I just want to spend my entire life doing only this much power. it depends from person to person. But we need a battle of the bikes that can be used for lifetime. How long can a ninja 400 stay in my garage? will it work on city busy roads, day to day commutes? Can it stay in my garage till my kids grow up? etc... Can you please post more bike content about people that want to buy them just for commuting and getting across the city in a safe manner? I say this also as a 23 year old, in my country I am limited with a 125cc. Eventhough my bike gets me to my destination, when it comes to overtaking or going highway speeds, it does nothing. So, I want to focus my search on the more reliable, lasting, power bikes. I get that chance next year when I hit 24 wooo
I guess if you want floor price you gotta go with china bikes but I want a better market for noobs it’s pretty unforgiving for ppl on a budget especially if someone is less educated
I would personally choose my dream bike Ninja 400❤..almost no video on TH-cam that i haven't watched of Ninja 400 and have even putted Ninja 400 in WhatsApp dp profile pic and mobile wallpaper. My friend have offered me manytimes his Ninja 400 and I've reached 166 kmph on 4th gear on a short stretch❤🔥
Is it an entire horsepower more, or a few ugga duggas less than 1hp? The extra 450cc must be to make the exhaust note just a bit extra throaty... Would the extra weight be a plus in any way, maybe highway traffic or wind or?
It isn't in the U.S. yet but they do have the 450SR-S has adjustable forks and more let me know what you think of it if you ever get your hands on it please and from what I heard I was told the mpg is alot better on the N400 than the 450SS
I don't think you need adjustable forks on a 450cc bike. But if you don't like it you can progressively change the fork oils, springs and maybe even get an adjuster kit if you want. The only thing the sr-s has from what I can tell is that single sided swingarm, which could be a pain in the ass. Since you'd need a special bike lift for the back, the torque for the nut is probably stupid high and you might need a new torque wrench if you do the chain yourself, etc, etc. Also smaller engine less fuel consumption, that's common sense. If your cup is small and bigger cup, you can't drink more from the smaller cup than from the big cup. The analogy has a lower limit tho, and that's on a 125cc, you might have higher fuel consumption on a 50-70cc because you're revving it higher when riding. But on normal street use more cc means more consumption.
@Daniel-dj7fh when I said it uses more fuel I meant it uses like 7kmpl/16.5mpg more than the n400 at least from what i heard I could be wrong but to me thats a huge difference
the ninja was like buying a 2023 model keypad phone with ordinary lcd display to cut cost and still brag about it and trying hard to say good things out of what bad things we see to sugar coat an intentionally made to cut cost bike for a high price using kawasaki brand. It's not the brand, it is about what effort they put in that bike.
I really don't know if you know China, but being burnt by CF Moto 650mt I will say stay away from Chinese motorcycles. The only saving Grace was the court decided in my favour. I immediately purchased a honda transalp 750 and 6000 miles in I think it was the best decision of my life after what I did to myself buying a Chinese motorcycle.
Hey guys here in South africa we pay around $6300 for the Ninja and would suspect the CFMoto to be a bit cheaper. But sadly we don not yet have them here...

people arguing reliability like its even a viable point. the 450 JUST came out, lmao "WELL THE NINJA WINS BECAUSE OF THIS NON EQUITABLE ARGUING POINT CF CANT DO ANYTHING ABOUT CUZ IT LITERALLY HASNT EXISTED LONG ENOUGH YET!"😂😂😂 sound logic. lmao
Along with other things. "cfmoto got everything but hey what a slightly light bike this is, this thing's better" They didnt even mention how ridiculously light the clutch lever is on the cfmoto, being way lot better for a beginner
Ight I just passed the ecourse and riding course; I seen one brand new for a decent price(moto). Is it a solid bike that I’m able to fix myself? I’ve been doing some research but ik some of yall have tested it personally.
"whjat is the extra 50cc for?" okay, you asked multiple times so i'll tell ya.. the extra 50cc is so the bikes tune can be toned down, and you get extra reliability for little extra price ... ie: no need for expensive strengthened internal engine parts with a smaller engine that has basically the same power and torque.. the 400 gets the same power, at the cost of a more expensive production process.
If one bike starts early and is going 3 mph faster before the other bike begins to race, the first bike will continue to pull away at the rate of 3 MPH even if both bikes accelerate identically, so don't think that because the Kawi didn't reel the CF Moto back in that the Kawi is slower.
The suspension on the ninja400 will never cut it for track, can't speak for the cf moto in this regard. Both will commute without any problems, you have Kawasaki's reliability in your back with the ninja tho.

Chinese drop the prices to kill the competition.
@@truss6282 i tried putting kawasaki sticker in a piece of rock, it aint turning to gold. wahahahaha. if a bike has cheap parts, even if you put kawasaki sticker on it it will still be cheap looking parts. wahahaha. cheap parts means to cut cost and your cheaply made parts will gonna make you look stupid wahahaha.
what ingredient you put in the bike defines quality. even you pay in a world famous restaurant a high price yet they only give you soup intead of a steak you should be questioning.
idk why some people undererstimate CFmoto ,the fact CFmoto brought ATVs and SXS to the US since 2002 and now has more than 300 dealerships
Only reason I agree with you is:
Competition drives Innovation 👍
But I’ll still buy my Japanese ☺️
CFMoto makes stuff for KTM, and now they will be making bikes for Yamaha for certain markets. Speaks volumes that these companies trust them with their logo...
There's still a dealer chain to establish, I would imagine.
@@weylins It just takes a bit of time to establish themselves.

How's the swing arm on these cfmoto?
I went for the CF Moto! Although for months I was really saving to get a Ninja. But sitting on the two bikes over several weeks is what did it for me. Being a female rider leaning forward I had more space on the CF moto than the ninja SURPRISINGLY. I am not sure why but my hips and chest felt really weird when riding the ninja and on the CF I had more space to adjust and sit properly. I agree that the ninja is def an EPIC bike (almost got one) but I have to trust my body and what feels best for it :) Thank you for this video!
Good choice, I think, maybe a little biased but have 2k miles on mine and glad I got it. Enjoy.

Good evening,
I am a 74 year novelist.
Sincerely,
Tom
I have owned all three of the major brands. 2018 ninja 400, 2020 R3 X2, cfmoto 450ss. The 450 is the best BY FAR. It’s really not even close. I’d actually choose the R3 with a throttle tube mod over the ninja 400 as well. The seating position is very awkward on the ninja, the rear sets sit weird, and it constantly wants to throw your nuts against the tank. (Owners will know what I mean). I have no interest in cfmoto and owned multiple 600cc sportbikes as well. This little guy is a BEAST!
I understand the nuts on tank for the 400! Recently got one and starting to think i need Nut Armour LOL
I rode a Ninja 400 in the mountains and didn’t have that issue. It was probably the most fun I’ve ever had a mountain road.

Rode the cb650r the other day and the power on that down low is very similar to my 500, so I'm thinking about getting that. But I really don't know if I want a zx4r over the cbr650r thooo

CFMoto needs to bring their 450 SR-S to the North American market. It has better brakes, weighs 50lbs lighter, includes adjustable suspension, single-sided swing arm, along with traction control.
1. What better brakes?
2. why do you need traction control on a 450cc bike?
Where did you read that it is 50lbs lighter? Their site shows SR being 168kg and the SR-S being 179kg. The SS is 370lbs. If their website is correct, then the SR-S is about 25lbs heavier, not 50lbs lighter.

Very good point, and huge issue with consumers nowadays we never create an incentive for good entry level floor price items.
I guess if you want floor price you gotta go with china bikes but I want a better market for noobs it’s pretty unforgiving for ppl on a budget especially if someone is less educated

Didn't you guys get the Honda cb400 revo vtec in the states? Itll walk over both these bikes.
What about the crank angle of Nijja 400 ??
You didn't mention that 😑
Hey guys here in South africa we pay around $6300 for the Ninja and would suspect the CFMoto to be a bit cheaper. But sadly we don not yet have them here...
Girlfriend and I went to get her a beginner bike, although I wanted her to go with the ninja because I’ve had two when she sat on and saw the CF Moto she was hooked. Can’t deny they weren’t super flashy with the design.
I’m holding out for the Aprillia rs 457
Same bike, different fairings, no?
@@snoopycharlie8718 Was not aware of that. Documentation I've read does not indicate the Aprillia will be a rebadged CFMoto.
If you heard that can you share your source?
@@IDontKnow-bb6mt No source to link here but did see a couple videos stating similarity. Engine displacement is the exact same. Also has 270degree crank, dimensions and style are very similar. Seems to have come very suddenly. CF Moto also does KTM stuff and Yamaha partnership just signed. Wouldn't be surprised if shared platform etc. 😬
@@snoopycharlie8718 Just did a quick comparison of the pictures of both bikes.
Not even close.
Frame and swingarm are leagues different.
They could share the engine because yes CF Moto does make engines for other MFG's.
Is it better than the R7?
Yo bro I'm waiting for the CF Moto 675 SRS comes out I'd like to see you do a review with one of those I think they're supposed to come out this year or sometime in 2025. I think a triple cylinder???
Ninja 400, it’s got a bulletproof reliable history with tons of aftermarket support!!
Honestly its weird cfmoto gave that as a loaner bike for advertising. CFMoto still has the 450 oil filter on back order. They need better stock before trying to sell more
Idk I really like the sound and looks of the cf moto.
people arguing reliability like its even a viable point. the 450 JUST came out, lmao "WELL THE NINJA WINS BECAUSE OF THIS NON EQUITABLE ARGUING POINT CF CANT DO ANYTHING ABOUT CUZ IT LITERALLY HASNT EXISTED LONG ENOUGH YET!"😂😂😂
sound logic. lmao
Along with other things.
"cfmoto got everything but hey what a slightly light bike this is, this thing's better"
They didnt even mention how ridiculously light the clutch lever is on the cfmoto, being way lot better for a beginner
Gotta think the exhaust on that 450 is a lot heavier than that aftermarket one on the kawi
Ight I just passed the ecourse and riding course; I seen one brand new for a decent price(moto). Is it a solid bike that I’m able to fix myself? I’ve been doing some research but ik some of yall have tested it personally.
"whjat is the extra 50cc for?"
okay, you asked multiple times so i'll tell ya..
the extra 50cc is so the bikes tune can be toned down, and you get extra reliability for little extra price ... ie: no need for expensive strengthened internal engine parts with a smaller engine that has basically the same power and torque.. the 400 gets the same power, at the cost of a more expensive production process.
Yow my boy Yammie, mtrccledad, can you add visual metric units on screen when talking about pounds and lbs?
You should check out the CFMoto 800NK
Cant wait for the vs rs457 comparisons.
If one bike starts early and is going 3 mph faster before the other bike begins to race, the first bike will continue to pull away at the rate of 3 MPH even if both bikes accelerate identically, so don't think that because the Kawi didn't reel the CF Moto back in that the Kawi is slower.
i really wanted the cfmoto but theyre impossible to find. N650 it is.
Im hoping to buy my first bike soon and I love the Kawasaki ninja 400 and I love all the videos you do on them the information really helps.
What bike were you using when you smoked your buddy?
If you (the random internet reader) had to pick one for daily riding and one to convert to a full track bike, which would you pick for which option?
The suspension on the ninja400 will never cut it for track, can't speak for the cf moto in this regard.
Both will commute without any problems, you have Kawasaki's reliability in your back with the ninja tho.
Really love to win a ninja, wanted one since I was a kid. New rider, goin for endorsement next yr
Correct me if im wrong
124mph is 199 to kph?
As a CFMOTO rider for 6 years ( 650NK ) yammie , you have sold out ! Mine is 75hp , Ninja 650 ( same engine ) is 75hp due to a Ducati ECU that's ' Tuneable ' but mate !!! I still have and love my NK where all my mates have ,,, as you say have gone to the ' Big Bike ' carry on , yes they have hit 1400cc , 1300cc , 1000cc fast ' Big bikes ' as you and your Mate say ,, guess what ? 75% have given up bikes , got married and now drive Toyota's .....
Me Mate ? ,, 50,000 km , and my CFMOTO is still going strong , 50 miles to and from work every day . 5 days a week in horrendous traffic going home , but at 4am when I am riding to work ,,, sweet .sits well on 120-130kph .
ps. there are a few ' Go Fast ' ,"OE's for CFMOTOS today ,, ask KTM ( built by CFMOTO ) .
Saw the cfmoto the other day in a store parking and talked to the owner. Bike looks better in person and sounds great!
I’ve owned a 2016 rc390 20k miles, looking to pickup the cfmoto.
im 6'2, which of this bike should i go for as a beginner
Can anyone comment on CFMoto reliability and/or build quality? Thanks
I think the CF MOTO is what I’ll end up picking up to replace the ZX4RR!!
You better wait for their 500sr and 675sr next year
@@anak_antoo are they discontinuing the 450 and just going to a bigger displacement?
@@MotoGosu not sure bro mybe they'll continue for A2 license cause that 500cc with 4 inline gonna be around 70+hp
@@MotoGosuthey'd be crazy and stupid to discontinue the 450. It's super popular on the internet and I don't doubt it's selling like crazy as a result. Very unlikely to happen
@@mathorsky yeah it’s such a cool bike with all the added features the N400 doesn’t have and the MSRP is a good spot yoo
