    Finally this one is done! I hope everyone enjoyed this series. These kits are pretty fun, and are a great canvas to go as detailed or as basic as you want. I really wasn't anticipating it taking nine parts to get it all done, but I'm pretty happy with how the model turned out. What was your favorite episode of the 9? Comment below!

    Clay, this is why I say I am happy to be the guy who makes the wooden frame and stretches the canvas over it so that the builders can paint their masterpieces! Beautiful work as always my friend.

    Hi, well done. I have enjoyed watching the complete build tremendously. This brings back a lot of memories for me. Butch was my first cousin, I have always been extremely proud of his career. You have done a great job on his Charger.

    Thoroughly enjoyed this series. I’ve built 19 chargers and this Is by far the best one I’ve ever seen. Your attention to detail is second to none. Your wheels and tires look amazing, not to mention your paint job is 100% perfect as always. And you’ve definitely made weathering look so simple, but still make it look like it’s actually been on the track. It’s truly an honor to be around modeling at the same, inspiring all of us to the next level. Thank you 🙏🏼

    To me the dieting the tires. I never used a toothpick to spray the mud. I have seen the ak product before, just always used real mud with a soft toothbrush. Seems like you have more control over the ak product as you did. Thanks for the great tip. Looks like I will be heading to 25th street hobbies to pick up an old NASCAR model. Thank you Clay for this nice series, have a great one!

      Glad you liked it Mike. And for sure, this stuff can be really easy once you feel comfortable doing it. Plus as you could see when I got carried away, wipe it off and try again. Do you shop at 25th street in person, or buy from him online? Big fan of his booths. I buy a lot of supplies there.

    I even started a new rc racing hobby it's 1/24 1/25 scale model cars only on a special 3d printed flat pan car chassis that you can choose 20; different styles of rear ends for rear end and you must use the original body from kit and full interior detail and motor and all from kit you must use atleast 1/2 of the kit and I have different classes brushless modern nascar brushless vintage and classic nascar 1960-1980 vintage and modern latemodel/stock car dirt or asphalt doesn't matter in a fast brushed motor with lipo and then open road course any car you want on a brushless motor. It costs 70 buck to build just the car that is kit motor esc and servo then add your own radio and rx and I made very tiny transponders for timing and race results

    Once again this is Awesome!
    Do you think you could do a series that chronicles the changes that NASCAR has made through the years to things like the engine, seat, roll cage, body mods, etc.
    As a modeler I like to go for accuracy but can't always find the reference I need.
    Thank you for your outstanding work!

    Mister Clay love the beautiful Dodge Charger that you did number 75 I have a question why did the exhaust system go out the back and not out the side. And where did you get the jar of Mudd your technique of detailing is amazing

    • @ClayKemp
      @ClayKemp  ปีที่แล้ว

      I had a couple grainy pictures that showed it coming out the back like that. I thought it would be a unique feature to add. I can only imagine how loud that was in person!

    Clay, I want to order a Salvinos kit soon. I'm a bit of a newb (I've built about 10 cars now). Do you recommend the newer next gen Nascars or the older ones for ease of build? I would think the newer cars would fit together better like Tamiya.

    • @ClayKemp
      @ClayKemp  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I would do an older one first. The new Nextgen kits can be kind of finicky. They get easier the more you build. But the first one will be a struggle.

    Exhaust pipes go over the rear axle. Not under it.

    • @ClayKemp
      @ClayKemp  ปีที่แล้ว

      I had one grainy picture from the rear showing the pipes coming out like that. From what I could see, it was tough to tell if they went over or under. For the sake of keeping the video simple, I went under.

      USAC allowed the Dodges to go to 430 CI I believe back then.
