It seems to be nice at around $250, I need something quick to finish up some graphics projects and could hold me over for awhile. Hoping with the upcoming Intel motherboard refreshes this fall various AMD motherboard brands would silently release some updated revisions aswell. 🤔🤔🤔

@laurent Do you think it will work if I only connect the 8pin connector on top and not the 4 pin? I currently have a 650W PSU (Corsair RM650x). That one has 24pin, 4x8pin and some sata. Now I want (if possible) to keep the Case NZXT S340 and this PSU. And replace the i5-6600k+gtx1070+z170 mobo with 7800X3D+ASUS TUF RX7900XT OC (3x8pins) and this mobo. I know 650W might be on the limit for this combination, but tempted to just run it stock or undervolt. So I'm either missing a 4pin for the CPU on the mobo or only have 2 out of 3 8pin connectors for the GPU.

In a not so distant past for $200 you could buy an entry high end, all bells and whistles, motherboard. Nowadays for $200 you get the basics with the second from the bottom chipset.
I bought this board because I refuse to spend $300+ on mid range mobo.
Gamers should've put their foot down when nVidia decided it's ok to charge $2000 for a GPU. This trend has spilled to other components.

Majority of the complaints (if not all) are related to issues with the memory. None of them says what sticks they've used so it's hard to comment. It is possible that they had problems with the EXPO. With other, non-ASUS, boards once the EXPO is turned off in the BIOS the system is fine.
I've bought this board with Kingston Fury Beast 2x16GB. It's listed as compatible on the ASUS website so we'll see how it goes.

Buying an ASUS product is like playing Russian Roulette, but putting multiple bullets in the chamber. I have had around 60% of all ASUS products eventually fail on me over the last 25 years of PC building. Tech support is a joke and pretty much non existent. Due to my past experiences, it's just too risky to buy ASUS because if you need to RMA or open any correspondence with ASUS, you are most likely SOL and wasted yet more money on these guys. I have stayed away from ASUS as of late and miraculously had 0 failing parts since. On the fence between MSI over ASUS and Gigabyte, however this round of AM5 boards are a bit disappointing overall coming from all manufacturers and hugely overpriced. Shame on me if ASUS looks to be the best choice for me and I pull that trigger.
