My Renault 5 GT Turbo is BROKEN! Carb Repair - Part 1!

- Unfortunately my Renault 5 needs a bit of TLC. Has been running like a bit of a 🐖 recently and won't hold idle at all. It seems to be running very rich, and dies at idle. Also the accelerator jet has never worked properly.
Best thing we can do is get the whole thing off and get it sorted, as it's such an important part of having the car run well!

had one in 1990 great little cars but the hot start issue was a problem from the word go. if Renault had chosen to fuel inject the engine it would have remedied the problem not to mention making acceleration a lot quicker.
Yeah, literally just on the cusp of that transition. I think focus was on cheap / cheerful for the R5.
I don’t mind helping on the 5 I own the blue wide arch you see at camberly car show

I wondered if you could help me trying to identify the colour of the rear shelf in the R5 turbo , Iv just brought one but the colour is all faded badly. Cheers mate
