I’m looking forward to when these Taycans are regularly under £30k. I’ve only seen one for less than £30k on Autotrader Uk and it had 114 k miles on the clock and was a low spec 4S model.

The 100% first-year allowance for EVs may be coming to an end in March 2025, but this will likely have a significant impact on EV prices. Dealerships are well aware that businesses take advantage of this benefit, and since the majority of EV purchases are made by businesses, this has been factored into price hikes over recent years. Come March, it's likely that EV prices will drop as this incentive ends, so in reality, buyers will probably still pay around the same as before. However, for those of us who already own an EV, we may see increased depreciation as resale values adjust to the new market conditions.

I've had a WRS0, dated 19th Dec 24. It says that the software may not be ready for a while but my Porsche centre have said they can update it when it's booked in on 4th Feb. We'll have to see if they can actually update it!

I got told by a mechanic that if you don’t prime your plugs first and try to start it, the glow plugs will get dirty from unburnt diesel and will dampen the efficiency of the plugs

I have seen some crazy slow people parking it in the left lane here in Belgium. And then they have the audacity to get cranky when you flash your lights.

This is a problem on all multi-lane roads. I've seen the same behaviour on 3 lane A roads.

Based upon all of the statements made in the video, regarding arrogance, difficulty working with them, depreciation, considering even if reliability was in line with the rest of the industry, and knowing what a typical McLaren dealer service costs, this is a brand for which one could only enjoy ownership if money was no object.

Taycans over 100k miles with no warranty are going to be virtually worthless then. Add on benefit in kind going up to 9%, road tax, huge depreciation, ULEZ, and no incentives for used buyers. And that’s all before they start charging road pricing to claw back revenue lost in fuel duty.

1 pedal driving should be possible to be the default. On an EV it makes total sense for regen.

As a brit who drives abroad too, this is something I mention when people discuss driving in the UK and how terrible traffic is. However, I always come up against the "Brits are the best at everything" person who cannot fathom a world where the UK isn't leading the way in driving skills.

Car tax should be based on usage. Eg - mileage. Easy to get from your mot each year.

Road tax shouldn’t be based on emissions it should be based on Weight and Electric vehicle should have the highest road tax as they do the most damage to the infrastructure.

The big issue with hunting for a Taycan is the fact that each car has a different set of options and almost no one posts the build sheet. Many Taycans have very little or no options. Therefore it's a real challenge to find the car you want.

Hi there I am considering a used Taycan. I have had a lot of different Porsche's over the years, mainly 911's, air-cooled and water cooled. The thing that has always impressed me about Porsche, is that they offer really good, competitive extended warranties on cars up to 14 years old and up to 125,000 miles. For example 36 months full Porsche warranty for a Taycan is £3080. It is a full warranty, so I think the battery would be covered past 125.000 miles. You have to do a 111 point Porsche check, but if the car doesn't pass the check. Walk away! For peace of mind, it's a no brainer. Hopefully this helps.

About time, they have to thay do more damage to roads than an ice car or just trying to make people blive there saving money when achaly there not unless some big condisons or meet

Highly recommend taking out Porsche Extended Warranty which can also be passed onto a future buyer.

All you UK chaps are very lucky... Here in Germany, the prices are still relatively high (the cheapest today on the Porsche finder is €54k and that's with 125tkm) and the dealers are very reluctant to negotiate on price.<

How would having more vehicles in lane 1 and fewer in other lanes make everyone move faster/arrive sooner? Using all lanes when available (and safe to do so), is safer because traffic can spread out more. Sure if someone needs to pass and you’re in lanes 2 or 3 move over and let them go but otherwise, this is just a stupid ‘but the rules say’ nonsense.

Just over 3 months ago I bought a 9 month old 4CT from a Porsche Centre with just 96 miles on the clock for "£32000 less" than the price of a new one and it's incredible. Never gone wrong (touch wood), beautiful to drive and looks amazing. They were asking £74000, I bought it for £70000.

It's when they go to 4 lanes it seems to blow people's minds.
