That 289 V8 is a very good engine
My introduction to "hot rods" came via my older brother's '61 Falcon - 289/271HP, 4 speed top loader, 9" rearend with 4.56 gears. What a ride!!!!
3000 RPM at 55?
I dropped a 250ci six cylinder from a Maverick into my '62 Falcon, originally equipped with a 170/6. My oh my, what a performance upgrade!
Driving this one would give me a 3’ smile...
My Dad was called Falcon Eddie 🤣 He had a Falcon, remade me a Falcon from spare parts, Red with White Vinyl top three speed on the column. Mine was rusted & bondo😅
in fact, the first gen Mustang shares the same platform,
The idea to skin it as a sport car was truly genius.
that car is so pristine
excellent video
Thank you for the kind words! Glad you enjoyed the video
My Dad had one of these, except that it was white and stock. I would love this one!
My father had a 61-station wagon. My brother had a 62....gorgeous
It sounds nice! I had a 63 Falcon station into which a buddy had installed the whole drivetrain and suspension off a 64 Falcon with a 260. I installed an RV cam, 289 heads, Streetmaster intake and a 390 CFM Holley 8007. Not a fast car with the two speed auto, but ran pretty well. Joe
Sweet little car .Needs some Falcon hubcaps. Looks like 61 Ford Custom or Galaxy hubcaps on it.
1949-51 hubcaps
I love it. I think you could get a 260 v8 in those from ford, which is a good engine and would make a falcon scoot
Love the falcon
Very cool sleeper.
Nice car, a factory paint color, black wall tires, and a turned down hidden exhaust system, and it'd be really nice.
That was a sleeper back in the day. People would do that a lot. I had a buddy that stuffed a 302 in a Pinto station wagon. It was brown with the fake wood trim. It was also scary fast.
I had a 63 Ford Falcon, all original except the tires. Paint was still original, just a little bit of rust here and there. Painted black original engine and trans...had to let tranny warm up first, because it will not move if cold. How i really missed that car. I wanted to drop a 302 with a c4 but ended selling it, i really regret it
Brings me sadness when remembering my 63 Falcon that I rescued from a junkyard for 100 dollars. It got a repaint and upholstry. I drove it with the stock six and auto trans for a while, in anticipation of a 351 Cleveland swap. Unfortunately I wrecked it before I could perform the swap.
Fantástico 289
Great looking little Falcon I'm wondering why they didn"t convert it to a dual master for safety reasons as nice as it is 66 fair lane manual drum master would work perfect.but maybe that's a next owner project. Anyway that's a small thing but a good cheap up grade.
Sweet
Small block 289 Ford engine has a greta sound.
A Rare car indeed if it came from the Factory with 289 Ford v8. It looks Stock as white bread but the up grades you listed would make this car a Sleeper.
The 289 wasn't produced until 1965. The first year Falcon with a V-8 was in 1963 and it was the smaller bore 260.
@@TheMoodyLoners Thanks for the information.
I want it!
Single master cylinder. Wouldn’t a two cavity split master cylinder be a safer brake option.
Nice. !! Want. It. 😂
I would rather see an all stock version with original colors.
Beautiful car. Very well done. But makes no sense to me to do an award winning restore but no radio. But Why?
They probably just wanted to listen to the beautiful noises that 289 makes.
Detroit Locker in an eight inch rear end seems odd .imho
👍👌❤️😬
Use to call it the CHICKEN 🐔 EATER DON'T KNOW WHY BUT LOVE THE FALCON SWEET WITH A 289 THING CAN GO WIT THAT ENGINE IN IT SHIT YA MAN 😮
What year did the Falcon first offer a V8?
1963 a 260 v-8 was offered
In 62 Fairlane could get the new Winsor 221v8 or 260 v8..In 63 they increased to 289 was available in Fairlanes only and Falcons had the 260 as their first v8 in 63..In 64 the 289 was used in Falcons, Fairlanes, Galaxies, and maybe pickups ..
In 62 wasn’t the 260 the only V8 option!
63 was a 260, 62 had no V-8 option !
What the hell is a Ford shoebox hubcap???
They are hubcaps off of a "Shoebox" Ford
What is a shoebox Ford? I've never heard of one
Shoebox was the nickname given to the 1949-1951 Ford passenger cars.
@@rocksolidmotorsportsThanks
For that price should have leather interior.
Screams for nicer wheels
Dog dish not shoe box.
Correct. They're dog dish hubcaps off of a "shoebox" Ford.
And you can buy it for only $ 32,500
One of the ugliest cars ever made.
Not really,,but I do like the 64 & 65 body style much more 😎
