    Good job on this, sounds pretty healthy and makes for a great sleeper. My neighbor was a Ford guy and his first car was a 61 Falcon. A 6cyl with 3 on the tree. First thing we did is put was extended shackles on the rear springs. Then talked many nights of putting a V8 in it.. never did.

    This is a great build, great vlog. Much better than the 1963 Falcon Futura, 144 c.I. 6cyl., 4 speed out of an English ford, a real wheezer, and cost me an arm and leg at the time. Two months after I bought it the Ford Company they came out with the Falcon Futura fastback, 260c.I. V8, better 4 speed, great upgrade. My only thought would be some high back seats with head rests, cause that v,8 is gonna snap you head!

    • @OctaneElectrons
      @OctaneElectrons  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      haha thanks! I love the car. Yes the 5.0L roller cam motor is much better than an old 144 6. That Futura with the 260 sure would be awesome though. I originally had tall bucket seats in the car out of a ~2000 Cougar. They just didn't fit or look right. Way too tall. I really like the lowback vintage vinyl buckets in this thing.

    What headers did you use for this set up?

      Hooker Super Comp. Needed a bit of clearancing (with a hammer) around the steering box, otherwise fit great.

    Any chance you can dig up the link for the seats? Those are some quality seats for the price! Sick car!

      Ya no problem, I posted it below:
      Sure they are ProCar by SCAT lowback buckets.

      And I used the later Falcon seat brackets, they fit perfectly. The outer holes were already there, but since this was a bench seat car I had to drill the inner holes for each bracket.

    Hey can you tell me how much clearance you have at the bell housing to firewall please. I’m using a 95 bell housing and someone told me it will hit the fire wall.
    Thanks for answering my questions. Love the car.

      They are ProCar by Scat lowback vintage buckets. Easy to get at Summit/Jegs. Use the Procar 64+ Falcon seat bases and sliders, they work fine just have to drill some new holes for the inner mounts.

      Just a bit of dash cam before it got painted. It's blue now, which was it's original color, and it also has the EFI now. th-cam.com/video/oHuAgjDi9Ds/w-d-xo.html

    I have a 61 Falcon. It was a B*#@! trying to find an aluminum radiator and they were all wrong just a bit. I just ended up cutting slices in the body sheet metal so the radiator mounting flanges would slide through the slices and go to the bottom where you need to make sure your radiator has the cropped corners at the bottom to clear the diagonal bracing. This allows your radiator to be more forward. Just curious if you know what I am talking about.

    • @OctaneElectrons
      @OctaneElectrons  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      This radiator was in the car when I bought it, not sure on the mounting. Looking close at it, it looks like it picked up existing mounts though, I don't think the core support was cut.

    Do you remember which tank that you have is the fuel pump top load or front?

    • @OctaneElectrons
      @OctaneElectrons  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I had to put in a 66 Mustang 14 gallon tank to fit the Holley fuel pump. It fits and works fine. The Falcon had a stock 11 gal tank that is not compatible with the Holley in tank pump. The pump installs in the front side and bottom of the tank.
