I bought mine 3 months ago and I really love it. I live in the city and I’m not trying to win races or climb mountains just drive. I love it and all the extra features for less. I was in the Note and this is awesome for the price. If you want a truck buy a truck, if you want a sports car buy a sports car. Simple
Jennie Williams thank you!! I got mine a month ago and is doing great! Yes it’s a slow car, when I try to speed up it takes time, but it’s a good car for who likes me lives in the city and also hate driving lol And honestly for my budget,I did get a lot with it. I am an ex juke owner,I had the very basic one before,I do miss the turbo but I honestly love this car!
Im considering getting the kicks...had a versa note (15-19 was repoed while doing 3 weeks in jail)..just want to get an orange roof or all orange with a white roof
I picked mine up yesterday. It's actually deceptivelyfast. I was worried after reading all the comments and reviews about the HP, it doesn't drive like it a slow car. It goes wherever, however. Really.
I loved everything about this car, the style, the size, the color options. I bought it and I enjoyed it while I drove in the city. My only complaint was the acceleration. With the 125 HP I found it difficult to accelerate when getting on the highway or passing someone. I could floor it and after two or three seconds it would speed up enough, but I never liked putting strain on my vehicles.
A clever well-articulated review. Makes one actually want to give this vehicle a test drive . Thank you Ms Woodward. And by the way, some of us did get the rt 66 reference.
got my 2019 about 12 weeks ago and i've already put over 5000 additional miles on its odometer... this car is everything i wanted/needed and nothing i didn't, plus a few features i wasn't expecting but have enjoyed immensely... i love my kicks!
I have one right now as a rental. I really like it. For a vehicle with a low-horsepower engine, it surprised me with its low-end torque and quickness off the line. Just hit the gas, and it goes. Acceleration on the highway has not been an issue either, although I do live in relatively flat Indiana. When I did go to a hillier part of the state, it was actually really tossable and fun through the twisties. It exceeded my expectations, that's for sure. Also, for a car with such versatility and spaciousness, A hybrid version would be amazing, but I'm averaging 31.9 mpg in a traditional engine, which is impressive! There are a couple of areas where the cost-cutting is apparent. 1) Hard-plastic interior. 2) No center console OR sunglasses holder in the ceiling. (Maybe these are options?) 3) No manumatic. 4) No AWD option. I get not making it standard, but I bet some people would pay extra for the option.
@@tholloman9860 Before you buy this car, check the air conditioner during your test drive...there is a known problem where the temperature control is either max cold or max heat, no inbetween. Setting it to 62 or below will be maximum cold temperature, anything above 62 is the same as having the heater full blast. 63 and above are all the same. Nissan dealer will just tell you "oops, its a bad design, sorry nothing we can do" Also check the volume control on your radio, volume down works normal but volume up is jumpy and can be difficult to just raise the volume on the radio. Bought a 2019 for my wife, and other than those two super annoying issues, its a fun little car. We bought the SR trim level.
Ive had mines for about 5 mos. (Kicks SR, Cayenne Red) Sporty, good looking SUV. I love it!!! Went to Cali and back..it did well with gas mileage and a very comfortable ride. Im satisfied!!!❤️
Aah thank you so much Nissan for providing that soft padding next to where the driver's right knee/thigh would rest. Such a small but significant feature.
Micah is great but this new girl is awesome too. I’m actually pretty impressed with this kicks it’s nice to see a clearly well thought out entry into a class of cars that has had a lot of half ass just ok entry’s lately. I would like to see how it racks up with the cx3 and Hrv I think it’s got more room inside then the cx3 witch is always good
Even though the Nissan Kicks is the new sub-compact SUV (competing with the Mazda CX-3, Honda HR-V, Chevy Trax, Ford EcoSport, Hyundai Kona, and Kia Stonic, Subaru Crosstrek) It's really closer in competition to the Kia Soul and Toyota C-HR because those are FWD only. The others have the option of AWD.
Excellent new still unbiased member team. Hope she keeps out the good work and doesn't start complaining about how that car is inferior to the Honda model.

She luvs her Nova (car name) an it's faster then 65-70 mph on the Highway, Plus great in STOP an Go traffic
NISSAN really missed the mark on Kicks by not making available the 1.6L Turbo! This car could really use it...Come on NISSAN!!! One more thing, 6spd manual w/the turbo would be great!
Yes and yes... oh but one final request.. along with that 1.6T and Manual transmission, throw in an AWD option available with the previous two mentioned and I'd be in.
I think i'll be checking this one out. It looks to have the space i need for my scooter, walker. Now all i need is to find a dealership in San Bernardino Ca. Thanks for sharing the video.
Not bad looking at all. I do wish they would just add the turbo engine to the lineup now. I'm willing to bet they will eventually, just like they did with the Sentra. Until then..............

I like the looks but don't agree on the ride. It's very bouncy over broken pavement. Torsion beam rear end doesn't settle well when upset on uneven driving surfaces. It's also extremely slow, too slow IMO (so are HRV & CHR). Give it a turbo (more power), mulitlink independent rear suspension then maybe. I like the partial digital screen. Nice touch.

I really love Nissan car. However, I got into a car accident on September 11, 2019 from driving a 2019 Nissan Sentra SV. A guy rear ended my car on the back for texting and driving. My car is a totaled lost. I am planning on getting a kick or a rogue. So the way it looks and how it perform the kick seems to be a top notch to me? The only downsize is the back room. However, if you want a better acceleration you have to put the car into sport mode where it can perform a better drive on road. I can’t wait to test drive it.

Complaining about lack of awd is for bad drivers for the most part. I’ve been through 3 winters with excellent winter tires and I’ve and I’ve been perfectly fine.
The Nissan Kicks will soon have company. Hyundai is releasing its version called the Hyundai Venue. They will going up against the Kia Soul and Toyota C-HR. The best way to describe both is picture a "slightly taller and wider" Nissan Versa Note (which was discontinued) and the Hyundai Accent Hatch (also discontinued) If you want a mini CUV or hatchback without the AWD, then these vehicles make perfect sense. Nissan and Hyundai wanted to get a vehicle similar to the Kia Soul to go against, now they have them. Don't be shocked if Honda brings back an all new Element to against these vehicles except the Element will offer not AWD. (If Honda does it)
I just love how they always just show the fully loaded vehicle haha then when you go to the god damn dealership the car is 10000 freaking K above MSRP !
Not really, even with the highest trim and everything they showed in this video you're coming in at about $23k. I was really surprised at what you get for the price with this model.

How has it been so far if you dont mind giving us an update
For "I don't know why" reason i really love the orange roof
Nuhan Hidayat me too, but my favorite is the white roof with blue body color
Martin Ladjimi I just got one, it’s beautiful.
Martin Ladjimi same
It's awesome!
Orange roof is amazing... considering getting one after my versa note was repoed....RIP to my versa note(in jail 3 weeks was repoed late 2018)

Nice sarcasm
You're a great addition to the KBB team! Great review.
33 mpg for a non hybrid SUV is pretty impressive. That's better than some small cars.
Yeah, 33 combined so it gets better mpg on the highway. My 2017 Nissan Rogue gets 33+ highway.
33 i get like 40 love the MPG om this thing
Mike Lowery me too on my 2017 Rogue
It is a small car. It's a versa with a slight lift.
It's not at all a SUV from any angle, no manual transmission, no awd system. It's just a hatchback with lifted suspension
I agree that this will sell very well. I hope Nissan offers a more powerful engine option in the coming model years.

Can you get this beauty with a 6 speed Manual transmission?
In India, they have just launched the kick which is bigger and wider than the international version. Let see what price they announce.
The India-version Kicks looks WAY better and actually looks like a SUV. The U.S. Kicks is a horrible design.
Oh, so it's not equivalent to Indian Kick ?

Love it but two things it doesn't have that I want:
1. A real automatic transmission
2. AWD
I don't need AWD but a real automatic transmission has to be better than Nissan's famously unreliable CVT.
@@josephbingham1255 Don't hot rod it. Go easy and service the transmission on time. No problems.
If it had AWD you wouldn't want it anymore. Increased price, increased service costs, worse mpg. All for little to no benefit.
