In this video, Justin Pritchard test drives the new Nissan Kicks - a small crossover that needs to be on your radar if a low price and lots of cargo room are more important than all-wheel drive (AWD).
The Nissan Kicks is excellent, but AWD isn't an option. Tester is a top-line Nissan Kicks SR.

You are the first reviewer who mentioned all the features that attracted me to the car and why I chose the Kicks over other cars. I remember getting into the Venue and noting, "This hurts my injured leg and is harder to get into than the Kicks. I just slid into the Kicks. It was the perfect height." Then when I went around to the back and they opened the cargo space, my disappointment was palpable. I realized how much bigger the cargo space was on the Kicks. The cargo space on the Kicks is bigger than on a lot of SUV's. I consider the Kicks an SUV. I don't see the difference between it and many of compact the SUV'S I park next to (except for the price). Then the Hyundai dealer added $1,400.00 in insurance options and protective pin-striping I had to take before he'd sell me the car, and I left the Venue dealer and headed to the Nissan dealer. (I had been driving a Kicks as a rental car and liked it.) Almost a year later and everything is still fine. I have the SV version. If I had it to do again, I might go for the SR version because I'd like the LED headlights, the tonneau cover, the 360 camera, and the softer padding on the dash. But the SV price is attractive with a plethora of safety features.

Hello! I would like to let Justin know that as a Kicks owner, I truly appreciated this review. In other reviews I noticed everyone wants to compare it to something else. IMO it’s in a class of its own, and yes, I do agree, I wish I had a bit more storage up front but I love my car.

Is the traction control any good since no awd? With a set of blizzak how would you compare it to a 2015 kia rio? I know it's a special question but i'm about to buy one so what's your opinion? Thanks!

"Nissan calls this a crossover and it sort of looks like one" LOL! Precisely! Great choice for all of those people who are looking for a car that looks like a crossover, even though it's really not haha.

Thank you for sharing this video. I have the top of the line 2021 Kicks SR. Do you happen to know if it performs in the same manner? I'm going to be up in the snow this winter and was looking for some help in this department. Thank you kindly in advance.

Would you say this is a high riding versa? My parents currently own a 2013 versa nearing 200,000 miles and they were thinking of buying another one. Their only complaint is that their current car rides low and they are getting older. Is there another car you would recommend for two empty nesters?

Nissan should provide a NON-Push Button start option and add a center covered storage.
