This IS taking place outside of Lake George NEW YORK! Look at the road sign if you don't believe me. It is a NY State Highway.

Wonder how big the fire was with that amount of equipment response. Good to see the drivers getting out of the way for equipment.
Decent sized fire, but lots of tankers were called due to no hydrants in the area.
Adding on w/ No hydrants, Tanker shuttles are an uphill battle but done right they can be done effectively. I was part of a group in Alaska that performed a tanker shuttle ,we flowed 1000GPM for over 1 hour!
@@trob0914 just depends on the area we utilize tanker shuttle operations a lot in my area and they are always smooth flowing an organized. But we also do a lot of rural water movement trainings throughout the year. At my department you have to have the rural water movement class completed before you can be put on as a driver. And if you miss 2 of the trainings held in a row your pulled from the driver list until you start taking the training exercises again.
The drivers at 0:55 could come to my town and teach people how to pull over for emergency vehicles.

As a formal Vol Fireman , I loved the video , but Tanker 324 was missing a couple of hard suction hoses as it went by the camera. Don't know if anyone else noticed. . . Wonderful camera work . . .

If you’ve ever seen a fire truck that has the lightbar just above the windshield and not on the roof, that’s an indicator of a low clearance overhead door, meaning a standard configuration rig and an aerial rig wouldn’t fit in the building.

I had a slight chuckle at 3:43 where the light turns yellow then red to allow the truck to pass, but the red car on the left still overshoots the line then bites down hard as if the driver was heavy on the brakes at the last minute.
Am I wrong or does " Engine tanker 324 " seem like it has less hoses than it should and is missing some ladder or whatnot off the sides ? Any reason behind that?

One thing must be implemented! Every fire truck should be equiped with remote "beacon" changing traffick lights on green when aproaching.
It’s something to see people surprised at how many rigs were called. I know different areas operate differently. But this response here would just be an initial first due response for my county here in PA

The Pilot Knob tanker blew right through the intersection. Didn't clear it! Very dangerous! Bay Ridge 324, however, did a good job.
Doesn't matter where the scene is, you stop and clear the intersection especially when proceeding against a red light. Basic safety. Day 1 stuff for EVOC drivers.

Lots of tankers, no hydrants? Interested to know how they did it, do you pull from a static source like a lake and use drop tanks? Was there a static source near the fire you relay pumped up? Around here we usually pull from lakes and shuttle tanker by tanker, usually into a single drop tank manned by engine 2 (pumper/tanker, only 2 seats) and engine 1 usually has its own drop tank and pumps its own water (first due, seats 6) we rely on mutual aid for man power and extra water supply, if engine 2 is needed on scene we only have one tanker, which is aging and only holds 1.75K gallons. Usual fire around here we have 5-6 tankers shuttling water, 3-4 engines bringing man power, and if we’re lucky we get a ladder truck. Happily though the next town over (our auto aid) is buying a new ladder truck soon!
They used portable tanks here, and the tanker shuttle filled up at a hydrant down the road

Decent sized fire. Also they were no hydrants so they needed all they could get with tankers. Not including traffic control officers
4 Engines / 2 Ladder’s / 1 Rescue or Medic / 1-2 Battalion’s is the standard response to ANY fire in my area. Once the battalion arrives on scene he will either disregard or call more depending on the situation. Not to mention 3-4 tankers if no hydrants in the area.
Bring back the old lighting system damn these strobe lights I have a nighbor had a seizure because of 8 cop cars and they're strobe light s they were told repeatedly to turn them off while he was sizing there was a fight broke out in front of his apartment

Kinda weird, at least to me, that there are no truck companies responding to this, if there is a structure fire here, there is always going to be at least 3 trucks on scene, I will point out there are many truck companies here
Depending on the size of the house, multiple aerials aren't needed. In this case, according to the poster, there were no hydrants available so a tanker task force was called for. There was probably ample amounts of ground ladders, with all the engine companies combined, to suffice.
